NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY PLACE!!! GO ELSEWHERE!!! My family decided to pay $30 dollars an hour for mini bowl. The manager watched us intensely from the video cameras and walked over from the front desk to tell us to not touch the bumpers and not to pass the bowling line again or he will shut off the lane. Supposedly you get 1 warning before they stop your $30 game. When leaving I asked him if he watches every game on camera and he said the owners at home do the same. It is supposed to be a kid friendly section, therefore, you would expect that will happen once or twice but IT WAS A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND AWKWARD FAMILY NIGHT EXPERIENCE. I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING WATCHED THE ENTIRE TIME and the manager confirmed this feeling. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!! I couldn't imagine having a kids party here...PLEASE BEWARE!!!

I called to inquire about making a reservation for a child's birthday party. I spoke with Andrea and I had asked her if there were limited hours on Black Friday (which is the date of the party I wanted to reserve lanes for). She said they are usually very busy on that day with other reservations. I asked if there would be a problem with me reserving lanes for a birthday package (which I would be doing 13 days in advance). Her reply was "That would be frowned upon". WOW!!! So...this family owned business frowns upon having a few lanes reserved for a child birthday party because it falls on a specific day?! UNREAL! I really thought the HORRIBLE reviews on this place were unfair but NOW I see why. This place will no longer get a penny from me and has lost my patronage.

This place was horrible. They had to shut down our lane and so we went to the arcade then the arcade games were all rigged they took our money and didn't even play they only gave us pennies. And the service was not helpful they said they would fix the lane but they never did

I enjoy going because it's very family friendly. There was a time when gun fights would occur in the parking lot. The management under the pressure of community residents changed things. Now I walk in and feel safe. I park my car in the lot and feel safe. I can enjoy some rounds of bowling with no one bothering me or my family. The place is clean. The employees have been consistently polite. Their prices are family friendly. I highly recommend this place.

I think it's a nice clean place but it's real hard too get a chance to bowl most days and nights open bowl that is. It would be a great place if they can have more open bowl for walk ins walk ins not that welcome most times it's always a group. Hope they can have more walk ins welcome.

Only been here about 3 times under the new name "arena lanes", good place, good food, service good, like that they have a pool table area, the only thing I can't stand is for the past three years my wife and I been trying to have are son that's Autistic birthday their, they always tell us all the Lanes are taken for bowling league's, we try and try for evening bowl since are sons birthday is on April so we try to have his birthday on the fallowing Saturday weekend, it would be nice if they had a few bowling lanes open early for the public while league's are playing, besizes after league's games are over at night....

Went on a Friday night and payed $3.50 per game plus $4 for shoes. They closed early that night at 11PM instead of midnight like Google said. There is plenty of bowling lanes and it wasn't packed when we were there. You can also take a bowling brake and play pool or games. Drinks can be ordered from a bar that's also there. Overall it's a good place to go and the equipment is also good.

I came with a group of friends to do some bowling on a Friday night (which happens to be a very popular night for bowling with the gang); despite there being a bit of a wait, the atmosphere was vibrantly happy, the employees of the alley are jovial and kind, and the food is perfect for the occasion. Every lane was occupied with groups of friends, family members, couples on dates, and bowling leagues; just the right doses of friendly competitiveness.

The mini bowl is awesome... did not care for the service at the food counter. The older lady did not seem happy to be there at all. We've been a few times, but if we come back and she is there we won't order any food or drinks. We pay too much money for mediocre service. She was more worried about making things easy for her instead of us getting what we wanted. We order four bowling pin sodas and she preferred that everybody get the same to make it easier for her.

Friendly staff. Can't control who ends up next to you. So you may find yourself next to a 6 yr old birthday party and having to pause play while one of them decides to run across. Had a great time with the family though, just be prepared not to get a little upset.....

Felt very disappointed tonight. This was my first time coming here as soon as my husband and his friend and his friend wife came in we were stopped by the security guard whom decided to inform us that we needed to step out and "spray" ourselves due to smelling like weed. Problem is none of us smoke. Never have!!! I felt so discriminated against and disgusted by even being approached in that kind of way. Then they tried to place us in section with a group of black people as though we were being sectioned. We had to ask to be moved on the opposite side. It really hurt and I'll never be back.

This is a typical bowling alley with atypical options inside. There is a bar, a concession area (buy your soda there, not at the bar), a lounge, a party room, a pro shop, a downstairs area with billiards, mini bowling, and an arcade. There is a lot to do and it's usually crowded because of that.

No receipts are given, i.e. food court/checkin (probably on purpose) so that when you do have an issue on the lane, all of sudden, they can't recall seeing you that night. Right, so I'm just standing here in bowling shoes for nothing wondering why I cant be added to my party on my lane that I paid $8.25 for. The staff members are rude. My family and I waited for 10 minutes for the women at the front desk to stop chit chatting and acknowledge us. We had to wait 15 minutes for a lane which is fine, so we waited at the bar. The bartender had the worst attitude and snarled at us as she gave us drinks. I'm a bartender meaning I am usually exceptionally nice to other servers so i don't understand the harsh treatment. Finally we got our lane and I went to get food. The woman at the snack bar was extremely rude too. I don't see myself coming back here ever again. I like the old school claw machine though so that's why I'm ok giving this place one star.

Got here at 930. Websites and all associates said open till midnight. Paid for two games and told I could pay for more later. Bartender was rude and no service at food court. Considering its open till midnight at least the nachos could have been served. Then was told repeatedly we must leave because employees decided its time to go home at 10:30pm. Me and my family were not the only people in there as well. The best part was when I came to the counter and asked for two more games and the lady said no were closed. Apparently places of business no longer take paying customers money. Not only was I told no I was told with an undermining attitude that left me feeling like I wasn't a customer but that SHE WAS DOING ME A FAVOR AND THAT SHE WAS BETTER THEN ME. Not happy at all. I manage a retail store and when we have customers at or around THE CLOSING TIME THAT IS POSTED we still continue service because at the end of the sales are what keep the doors open. In customer service, customers ALWAYS come first. I refuse to return here until the owners either change the times posted or they actually are open during their hours of business. In conclusion don't come here unless you want to get kicked out and made to feel like your money isn't good here.

Great experience perfect for your kids party. They give you a dedicated assistant to help and she stays with the party at all times. They don't just come perodicly to check on you. That was great. The kids loved the dancing and prizes. The price was fair for the amount of people we did not run out of pop or pizza. I would recommend it for your next party. I also want to check out the mini bowling I had no idea that it existed. It reminded me of king pin when they were bowling at that guys house. The lanes are good and the place is clean. The service however is just fair. They appear to cater more towards their leagues. The rest of us get so so attention. Lots of kids working there and the guys at the service desk give little or no eye contact and answers with the fewest syllables possible. It's okay for a couple of games. Pricier than Oak Forest Bowl.

I have been off a year from bowling, but have visited my league and the staff and lanes are the same as in the past. I will always recommend Arena Lanes to other people as a great place to bowl. These lanes are classic! For everyone to enjoy, the facility is clean, arcade and a concession for the hungry and thirsty. For the experienced bowler, the lanes are well oiled, consistent, and always kept in good working condition. Occasional stuck ball but better than most alleys I’ve been to. I’ve come to Arena for many years for my family’s annual Easter bowling Eggstravaganza tradition (family has been coming for decades). Great quality experience for the casual fun seeker and high average bowler alike!

The bowling alley was fine but I just find it completely ridiculous that they charge $5 in order for a toddler to use a ramp to push the ball down the lane. I have been to a lot of bowling alleys in the area and this is the only one to charge for more of a convenience. They wouldn’t of gotten any money for the toddler to pay if there wasn’t a ramp but instead ownership has decided to gouge patrons into spending more money to line their pockets. Maybe next time they will charge to rent a ball and bumpers.
