You will see all the opinions of people who are consuming the products of The Alley Restaurant at Aiea Bowl (Bowling Alley) in the area close to the state of Hawaii.
At the moment this firm has a rating of 4.5 over 5 and that score is based on 550 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is almost the best one, and it is based on a very high number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Bowling Alley belongs to the category of Bar & grill.
The reviews are right - the best oxtail soup we've had, so tender and flavorful. The portions are generous. Also had the lemon crunch cake - just the perfect level of sweetness. Will have to come back to try everything else on the menu!
One of the best restaurants on Oahu. Every dish is a winner and the desserts are to die for. I love the furikake ahi but my wife is partial to the tasty chicken. Don't miss this excellent local style comfort food restaurant.
There are not enough stars on this app to award to this establishment. The food is fantastic and the dessert somehow better. Parking is tricky here but Support your local Hawaiian businesses. Do it.
Food looked so good we forgot to take pictures. Lol. Ordered the tasty chicken with white rice and mac salad, while the kids got shoyu pork with white rice and mac salad. Didn't know what to expect and was extremely surprised at how crispy and delicious the chicken was. The girls devoured there shoyu pork and I was lucky enough to get a taste before they were done. All in all this night's meal was better than expected and would definitely recommend the tasty chicken.
Popular spot, well worth ALL the attention! Great size portions and the desserts are NOT TO BE MISSED!
Food great..fun night bowling
The food was wonderful! I enjoy the atmosphere and even though it gets crowded, there's enough room! Great service!
Bowling alley diner special oxtail soup mmmm
love the food and the carrot cake!
Awesomely awesome!
Arrived around 2 pm. Place was packed. Right away, the vibe was friendly. There was a wait for a table of 4, but we waited for less than 10 minutes, instead of 30. Our server, Mica, is the kind of person you would want to keep working for you - she is very professional and made us feel that this was going to be an excellent first time experience for us dining here. We weren’t disappointed in any way. The Alley burger with teriyaki sauce, oxtail soup, and Alley chicken were mouth watering. This place is truly a hidden gem. Glad we also tried the lemon crunch cake. The whole experience was worth the trip.
Just got a Teriyaki Salmon Salad, it was ok tasting but sizing of the salad was super tiny. It was defenity not worth of $14.50 befpre the tax. Aloha Salad sizing was much better and tasted good. I would not go back to this place or recommend others for it. It is off my list! I couldn't take the picture due to the place I work, I cannot have phone. But wished I could have...
The best oxtail soup on the island! They also have an awesome dessert menu. Oxtail soup and a Longboard goes really well after a long day!!
Friendly staff! Excellent variety of food! Great tasting too! Tasty chicken was awesome! A bit small but worth the wait for a table
Awesome food and dessert, but expect a wait as it really popular and parking can be hard to find.
Highly recommend the ox tail soup, amongst other items on their menu, the food is always great, and the service is pretty awesome... Tasty chicken is delicious, and the desserts are ono as well....
Food is OUTSTANDING. Service is EXCELLENT. PRICE kinda high.
This place 100% lives up to the hype that has been placed on the joint...wait I'm sorry "da joint" by being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Tasty chicken, which was not featured on the episode, was everything you'd look for in a solid fried chicken. The pieces were boneless, tossed in a light, sweet, Asian-inspired sauce, and fired to a crisp. I found myself peeling away the skin and crunching on them like a potato chip. Those of you familiar with chicharones, will find a similar experience with the skin on this chicken. I also had the cola turkey sandwich. This was featured on the episode and did not disappoint. Semi-sweet, charred, nuggets of tender turkey piled onto a roll with fixins'. This doesn't taste like turkey, to be honest. Or at least it doesn't taste like the prototypical dry turkey breast that I know I've been exposed to over the years. No, this turkey was so tender it could be mistaken for chicken thigh, or pork even. Expect no frills here with decor. It's in a bowling alley for starters. Friendly staff and we did not have to wait for a table. Place runs like a well-oiled machine. Orders in, out, people in and out. The machine is working and working well- churning out some amazing- yet simple delights.
Always a local favorite!
Tremendously good food. Try the chicken, the pork, ant of it is great. The service is good too, and the bowling alley is a fun time also. Always busy though
Food was pretty good, but service is a little bit slow..
One of our favorite places when visiting Hawaii! So, so, so good!!! We ate the a few times while we were on vacation. I know, look weird at a bowling alley, but it’s a must on Oahu!!!! Everything was AMAZING!!!!
Simply fabulous food--don't miss out on the coconut cake!
Delicious food and friendly staff
Except for the house salad, of which, was wilted, Food ordered was great tasting. Floor management person, Destiney, was very helpful by replacing our wilted house salad and made sure we were comfortable.
Tasty Chicken was tasty. Pass on the pizza
Food takes long to be made. I waited 45 minutes for my omelet.
Best secret on the island
Great food for a bowling alley! Seating area is ok, desserts are good. Nice local hangout with local food.
Omg...the food is amazing! Can be quite crowded.. usually a waiting line so be patient... a bit tight fitting place for seating but it has that bowling alley atmosphere so i guess it all ties in together lol
You have to try the oxtail soup
Loved oxtail soup! Desserts too. Noticed coffee tasted old meaning sitting too long and stale smell, not fresh..young server still insisted was fresh but we can tell, despite our comment, was old, n did not offer to change.lol. i guess we are viewed old, dont know anything...
Great food at a bowling alley! Featured on Dives, Dinners drive through
The food was delicious as always! Love the Kalbi and hamburger steak! #aiea bowl #delicious #good food
Great local comfort food at decent prices!-)
Good food but my order took forever
Best place to eat in the Aiea area, tasty chicken is awesome and polish it off w/some lemon crunch cake. Oh and craft beers are $3. all day long! Gotta love that.
Wow! Delicious food with a most patient and gracious staff. A definite must visit.
The food and service was amazing. I had the ahi and every dessert I could get my hands on. So delicious! Can't wait to come back!
My favorite dishes are the tasty chicken and oxtail soup! Desserts, they're ALL good! We like to share dessert so everyone gets to try them all. The staff that work here are always nice and prompt even when it's really busy.
Dessert was amazing food garlic fries and calamari great but it was my girls birthday and the lack of emotion or positive energy to work there got me to give rating. It was a special day and the greatness of the delicious food did not match well sorry just disappointed.
The food was great. Going back again when I ever I get back to Hawaii. Came home and told people how good the place was.
I cant say enough about this place. 5 star dining, its not. It looks like a dive bowling alley but let me tell you the service and food was amazing. Try the combo deal. Chicken was great. Deserts were amazing. I would recommend this to anyone.
We waited for an hour to be seated but it was well worth it. The wait was due to a party which could not be helped. The food was amazing!
Good food! Fast service!
Great food (as always!) Great service! The prices are reasonable. We enjoy eating here.
I love the calamari there and oxtail soup
This place is fantastic! Great place for food and family fun! You will not be disappointed.
Had hair in my girlfriend's order, no apologies!
Really good food, , not fancy but super nice place, and there is a bowling alley too!
Tried the Tasty chicken sandwich with waffle fries. The chicken was crispy with a slightly sweet marinade and the waffle fries were seasoned like curly fries. So many delicious sounding items to choose from on the menu. You must try the Lemon crunch cake!
Amazing desserts. Very little vegetarian options though:(
Great food, don't miss the chicken
Their garlic chicken and fries are absolutely amazing.
The place is a must. The food taste good at a fair price point and their desserts are also delicious. Expect a wait.
It was kinda slow but my sandwich was delicious as was the cake. The fries weren't good, also they don't have a drink menu. That would have been helpful. 4.5/5 stars is my rating.
It was surprisingly good. Never thought that I will eat this good food at a bowling restaurant. I tried the garlic shrimp and the furikake ahi which is the best grilled ahi I ate in my life. The sevice was extremely good and fast. Less than 10 minutes wait.
Delicious food in a bowling Alley? This place is well known to all locals. I can vouch for the furikake topped Mahi Mahi lunch set , pumpkin crunch and the lemon crunch cake! Friendly servers and great atmosphere. Next time, maybe I will go bowling afterwards.
My favorite spot for yummy food! They never disappoint
While visiting Oahu I had to stop by The Alley! The ox tail soup was delicious, the meat was nice and soft. The broth was also very flavorful. The beef kalbi was delicious and savory, just how I like it. The tasty chicken was very flavorful, I really enjoyed it. I would go back there just for the Tasty Chicken!! I highly recommend it. You can't go wrong with any of these choices. Service was great. I can't wait to visit again! #TTeatz
Food, Bowling and Staff are Great. The new employee with Staff Tag 'In Training" was super helpful last night. Local Hawaiian Man, 2 thumbs up 4 excellent customer service.
Food was really good. We had edamame calamari and a mix plate with garlic shrimp and tasty chicken. No complaints about the food. A wait of 45 mins for a table? No thanks. We walked up to the window, ordered, and had our food in about 15 mins. Still hot when we got back home and ate.
We go here often and while we almost always get the Oxtail Soup and Cola Turkey we have tried quite a few items. All of the desserts are great and everything is incredibly tasty. A real surprise coming from a bowling alley restaurant. The service is never a problem and on our last visit Alvin provided excellent service. We can't wait to go again.
Tasty chicken, oxtail soup and garlic shrimp are the bomb!
Good oxtail soup and the fried chicken is good too. The service is good and you can bowl after your meal.
Great food, reservations weren't setup even after we called a couple days earlier. They made good on it by giving us the next table. We love The Alley. We just went again recently. Thank Alley for the great food and service.
Food was great the oxtail soup is great the tasty chicken is tasty service was great, friendly atmosphere.
First time in Hawaii, staying a couple miles away from here and finally got a to-go order to see what the hype was about. Let me tell you, the kalbi ribs and tasty chicken lived up to all of the hype I’ve read about! Amazing meal and I’ll be back many times in my next 6 weeks in town to try the rest of the menu. Well done people.
Good but spendy. Bring plenty money.
The lemon crunch cake, pumpkin crunch and tiramisu were all great. Service wasn't the greatest, but it was really busy when we went.
It was good. It was ok. I had
Very good! Try the saiman !
I didnt get a picture of my food. I ate it too fast......the tasty chicken is so delicious
Anything you get is amazing.
Had the Oxtail soup, it was delicious. Highly recommend
ONO food and good size portions for the price you pay. Their desserts are exceptional too!
Tantalizing menu with good selection of sandwiches, entrees and amazing desserts. The kalbi and furikake ahi portions are generous and tasty! Something I would order again.
Amazing food! Tasty chicken was great!
Food was great, plan early enough. Everyone knows able their food. There is usually a 10 to 20 minute wait.
One of the best oxtail soups around, my workmates had that. I tried the portobello sandwich with fries, it was good but not great because someone omitted the mayo. I wanted to try the Coca-Cola turkey sandwich but it's a 20+ minute wait... uh, not on a lunch hour. Good service, fast turnover so the wait isn't too long, 10-15 minutes. Recommended, especially for the oxtail soup.
My husband laughs when I rate his food with my eyebrows and I just have to say this hidden gem for tourist deserves a double eyebrow raise...my highest form of food flattery without saying a word...don't let it's location fool you which is in a bowling alley. A little bummed we didn't have room for dessert but it did look good...highly recommend infamous oxtail soup with ponzu dipping sauce...and also the tasty chicken plate with Mac and rice...the service is superb especially refills on water...for simple ingredients it has very rich and complex flavors...another double eyebrow raise before I complete this review...
This is the kind of place where it reminds you of the old local mom and pop restaurants. The food is characteristically local as well as the people who work there. From oxtail soup to chicken katsu and of course lemon crunch cake. If you don't mind the sound of bowling pins fall, this is your place. It's actually quite loud during league play but I can't hear when I eat food. The selection of menu items is pretty good. The service is very good and they are friendly. The people make this restaurant even better. I will definitely go back there. Oh forgot, there is a lot of parking for free. The evenings is when the parking lot is a little tight.
A bit pricey but food is good.
Our server got my order wrong. I was very hungry, so I ate it instead of waiting for my correct order. The food was good, but I was disappointed that my server didn't seem to be concerned about his error. He just said, "Oh, I guess I hit the wrong button." No apology. I'll go back because their food is great and most of the waiters are good. I just hope I don't get the same waiter.
Wonderful tasty chicken. Dont forget the fresh dessert.
Glad to see a thriving mom and pop establishment. Good food. Bowling in same premises.
The food was excellent. We had the oxtail bone soup and the garlic shrimp. And the service was superb. We will be back again. And again. Thanks Guy for the heads up.
Food was amazing atmosphere was great service was perfect if you're in the area you must stop by
Great food! This place was busy all day
Great dive near the Arizona Memorial. Great food and nice atmosphere but remember it is at a bowling alley. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Surprisingly good! Ordered shoyu pork and fried chicken. Both were tender with lots of meat. We had a table near the bowling lanes which provided good dinner-time entertainment.
Tasty chicken is... tasty!!
Really great food and good prices. It is well above the standard for bowling alley food. There is a good mix of Korean and American style foods on the menu. The desserts are also very good. A game of bowling was 2.00 so all together it was an inexpensive place to hang out for a few hours. Also lots of pokestops there too.
Great service, fast , friendly and professional. They have an awesome assortment of desserts, food and alchohol, I must say I love the carrot cake
Great Food. Normally a wait but worth it
Aiea Bowl is worth the drive to Aiea. We went on a Friday nite,so knew we would have a wait..it was just a 20 min.wait, then got seated in a booth. Although I like hamburger steak with gravy, tonite was a cold evening so decided on the oxtail soup. They didn't disappoint. Lots of oxtails in a rich and delicious broth. Too full for dessert,I HAD to order a slice of their famous lemon crunch cake,to go.
The Alley is a great little spot for grabbing a quick bite. With friendly staff and great food, my experience was pretty good! However, keep in kind that it is located within a bowling alley, so naturally, it's quite loud. The food was excellent at The Alley. I myself ordered the Portabella Hamburger, which was a lot bigger than I expected but delicious nonetheless. My family enjoyed their meals as well and were pretty satisfied afterwards. The restaurant itself is located within a bowling alley, so if you intend to eat somewhere and not have to raise your voice over all the noise, find somewhere else. Overall ambiance was fair but appropriate considering the circumstances. The service we receieved from the staff was excellent and very welcoming, though no one approached to offer refills for our drinks. That, however, is not that big of a deal. In the end, The Alley remains a great place for some comfort food. Prices are reasonable and, perhaps, if you plan on bowling afterwards, you're right there!
Tasty chicken is winnah! Get the lemon crunch cake as well.
Food is always "On Point"...Desserts always puts us in "Kanak Attack" mode...Mahalo "Raffy"...We enjoyed you as our server!
This place is pretty good! We just ordered at the outside window. Fast paced, good service, street food vibe. No complaints and I would like to try it again. Supposedly the pizza is great! They have salads and less heavy options that all looked good! Moderately priced, it was around 50$ for 3 entrees but one was the combo plate.
I went for an early lunch (around 11:30am). Based on the reviews, I got the garlic chicken and then decided to get spareribs as a combo platter with green salad. The meats were cooked great with fabulous flavor. The surprise was the fresh green salad that had a ginger dressing. I love ginger dressing. Perfect lunch with lots of leftovers. I also got the lemon crunch cake. The cake was spongy. I liked the lemon flavor but not so much the toffee crunches. Overall great meal.
Best food ever ..... Best chicken ... Best Kalbi....Best oxtail..... omg the hamburger steak ... #drooling Great service
Always a great place to sample 'broke da mout' Hawaiian plates. Really laid back atmosphere IN A BOWLING ALLEY!
They brought out my appetizer after my meal came out. The spicy hot wings read as if they would be on fire spicy. They weren't. Got a sandwich and it was tough to get down! It was soooooo dry. This was my second time, the first time was alright. Also, it is a bowling alley so its loud - which that part didnt bother me. And we had a decent sized group and we were split to two tables. If I knew that would happen, we wouldn't have waited the 30 minutes to be seated.
Tasty chicken is the BOMB! If you haven't tried it then I suggest you ask somebody.. LOL
I really like this place. It is nice and almost unheard of in my experiences to have a bowling alley with good food!
This place is a hidden gem. The portions are quite large and save room for dessert! The lemon crunch cake is incredible. You may need to take home some leftovers as you will be full!
What are you, kidding me?! Award winning food in a bowling alley. The tasty chicken is just that, really tasty. We had some noodles and fried rice as well as a few beers. Super adorable, very delicious, fast service, just great across the board. Would highly recommend and the tasty chicken is a must try.
I got the their famous oxtail soup. It was delicious. Lots of flavor, lots of oxtail. Maybe just a little more soup would be better.
Definitely worth eating here. Get there early cause it gets very busy. Try the loco moco or the pizza. Just try everything including the famous pies and cakes
My favorite place for oxtail soup and tasty fried chicken
Seated fairly quickly. Ordered the tasty chicken and wasn't disappointed. The service was quick and it was filling. The restaurant is small and pretty packed during most times in the afternoon and evening.
Get the fried chicken. Best thing I've ever eaten. Not exaggerating, I dont even like fried chicken. Anything you order here will be good, but go for the chicken. Also get some pumpkin cake. This was our unanimus favorite restaurant out of all the places we went durring our vacation.
The tasty chicken is really good. Every now and then it'll come out a bit dry. The pumpkin crunch is a must have.
I love their food and service it's awesome
Good food huge portions great deserts.
This place they serve delicious foods. Me and my husband comes here a few times and enjoys the food. I've tried different type of food on the menu. And so far, every one of them has the good taste.
They give the best portions for the boneless kalbi and the largest omelet, fit for 2 people. It's always a great treat to have a meal here. Just remember to save the spot for dessert, too. Be there before 10 a.m., if you want brunch...The line was building up outside
The Alley Restaurant @ Aiea Bowl. Great Quality Food, Good Service. (small restaurant limited seating) Try our Favorites. Oxtail Soup,, Tasty Chicken, and Save room for Dessert. Love the Carrot Cake !!! Prices $$. Hugs Wes n Wanda Anzai
Ono local food.
Barely 4 stars. Tasty chicken was amazing, now it's just good. Something changed
Someone told me that this place makes the best oxtail soup. However, it's not the best according to my taste buds. Try check out Kapiolani Coffee Shop in Waimalu. They are #1. Go check it out for yourself. Sorry Alley Restaurant.
Try the Tasty Chicken!
Always enjoy coming here, foods great, especially the dessert that's prepared by my nephew Dean! Don't care for the 'whole party must be present before you can sit down' policy though. Love listening to the bowling noises while eating...
love tasty chicken and kalbi.
Boneless Kalbi and bowling to me are the best part of this restaurant. It is really convenient for dating, I was able to call and make reservations in advance and they honored our appointment with a table and view of lanes before the bowling rush hour. After we ate we bowled the staff was polite and very helpful telling us where the lockers and restrooms where and how to do turn in our shoes. Great place!
OMG! First time there. Doesn't sound very appealing to say you ate at a Bowling Alley but whoa. Place was packed but service and food was impeccable! Everything looked delicious and they aren't stingy on their portions.
Ordered take out and I think they forgot it was takeout. Had to wait some more to get takeout order after we finished eating our eat in meal
best ox tail soup we've ever had. better than any we've tried on other islands (like Maui or Kauai).
Awesome as usual!
Food is good but service could be better
Always delicious food.
Food was great. Had the chicken caesar salad and lemon crumbcake
great food and quantity, can bowl after, and great drinks
The tasty chicken and strawberry crunch cake is the best
Great place for family and friends. Great food
The Tasty chicken is what we always come back for. So delicious and never disappoints. Can we crowded very quickly since its attached to a bowling alley but worth the wait.
Always great food and great service. It never disappoints.
Tasty Chicken was very good. Boneless Kalbi Beef was very good too. A local couple told us about this place when we were looking for L&L Bbq. "This is way better." And they were right.
Ono grindz and desserts. Loco moco (17$) is enough for two, brown or white rice available. Come hungry.
Their specialty chicken is flavored nicely. Unfortunately, it's quite greasy and you don't get a lot of chicken....it's mostly deep fried skin/batter that's flavored by their sauce. Fried noodles are good tho. Servers are very nice and welcoming. Always a pleasure when the servers are nice. Thank you.
Tastey Chicken & Ox Tail.soup. Don't let the bowling ally part stop you from getting a taste of these items.
Love the garlic chicken & kalbi dessert are so delicious
Food was great. Tasty chicken was on point!
A Triple D restaurant. The Alley Restaurant is one of the best on island. The service is great. Parking and wait times are the major hurdles to dining at the restaurant.
Best Lemon Crunch Cake on Oahu!
Is alright too expensive and too crowded
The service was great and the food was awesome. We were wating for the table and they said it was going to be a 20 mins wait so we headed to the bar but found out that we can order full menu from the bar area as well. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. The oxtail soup was the bomb! Also the cola turkey sandwich was very good it's moist and flavorful. We'll definitely going back.
Tasty chicken was delicious
The oxtail soup is a must if you've never had it. Good variety in the menu. One minor complaint, the burgers are only served well done. Save room for dessert!
Food is usually great but first time I tried their saimin and it was just ok.
Food was awesome must must must try the tasty chickens it's sooooo good
I love the Alley Restaurant. The Tasty chicken and lemon crunch are must tries. Although i havent ordered anything i dont like. Portions are good for the price. Sometimes when they are busy the wait is a little long.
This place is always crowded and the food is great. Awesome desserts too!
Great food and prices.
We saw this place on Diners Drive Ins & Dives but also were referred by a local. It was soooo good we came back a second time. From the Oxtail Soup as seen on Triple D to the Tasty Chicken. NOMNOMNOMMMMM
The food is always good. The hamburger steak and tasty chicken is the way to go. Don't forget to save room for dessert especially the lemon crunch cake but there are tons of choices so look for what you like. The wait during peak hours can sometimes be daunting but it's always worth the wait.
The food is delicious! Try the garlic chicken if you haven't! Anything I've eaten I haven't been disappointed with. The desserts are a must too
