Honestly the best part about Aiea Bowl is the restaurant! The Tasty Chicken is a must-have along with the garlic fries. The Ox Tail Soup and Loco Moco are top-notch as well! The bowling alley is normal and like any other alley.

You definitely get what you pay for and out here you're paying quite a bit however you do get some really good lanes that aren't too slick, and the balls here aren't all chipped to hell making them knock all the way to the pins. Paid $25 for cosmic bowling and $3/shoe rental.

This location is always packed, so call ahead of time to reserve lanes if you can. The bar/restaurant isn't cheap but the food has always been FANTASTIC. It's not what you would expect when you think "bowling alley food." Great food and great portions, AND an amazing selection of high quality deserts. Probably the cleanest, classiest, and best bowling alley I've ever been to.

When I came to eat here it was Sunday around lunch time. Although it was crowded and busy, we still received great service. You could see how hard our waiter, Ryan, was working to serve us as well as his other tables and his effort was very much appreciated. When our food came it was tasty as always and I look forward to my next visit.

It's usually a great place to eat but tonight was a disappointment. The tasty chicken seemed like it was sitting for awhile, it was hard and dry. The saimin had no taste, had to put in shoyu and pepper. I had to apologize to my hubby cause I was teaching about the food and it really was a big disappointment. The only saving grace was the pumpkin crunch. Glad that was still very good!

Updated, not hangry review: The people were nice but my order took almost 30 minutes and the fries were cold. The oxtail soup is everything everyone says it is but call in your order and avoid the fries if you're doing takeout. The oxtail seems expensive, but its enough to feed me, my husband, and my infant child.

Pretty clean for a bowling alley, doesn't smell like smoke and beer. However it is COVERED in advertisements and banners for various beers. It wouldn't be surprising for someone to forget you could do more than drink here. It is also fairly expensive for a bowling alley, $25/hr. They also require you to make a deposit in advance, which was quite strange as well.

I usually come here to eat, rarely to bowl, although the lanes are great. But the food is da bomb here! The tasty chicken is like crack to me, as is the kalbi, the oxtail soup and their pizza. They make their own sourdough crust and is so good. And the desserts!! I haven't had a bad meal yet. The only downside is that they are so busy, service can be spotty, but they do their best. As long as you are aware how busy the kitchen is, you're good. My friends and I usually order a bunch of appetizer plates and share family style. And my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I'm no quitter!

We threw a birthday party for my son here and it turned out great. We lucked out with cosmic bowling to give it an even cooler party vibe. The party area was ready to go and the food delicious. The bowling alley itself is very clean and the restuarant inside is extremely good. Knocked one star for some fuzzy details in the party package concerning food and drink refills. Party planners are helpful and accommodating to our needs, will be back! Thanks for the great day!

Three couples went bowling The food was good. The approach on the alleys we're filthy dirty. The alleys were over oiled and the balls were even Oily to start. Several bags of ice were brought in and water was all over the place. WE WILL NOT GO BACK.

The beginning of bowling was very fun. Me and 9 of my other friends were bowling for two games except customer service couldve been nicer and less rude. While bowling we made a ignorant mistake of having too much people on the wooden part which was definitely our fault for not knowing. However a guy came up to us and murmured something and then threatened to call security. We were really confused on what we did wrong but then he repeated it again and he seemed really angry throughout the whole thing. I wouldve appreciated it much more if he had gotten out attention first before telling us the rule that we were violating. It wasnt like we were resisting it's just we didnt know.

Was pretty packed during cosmic bowling, wait was 2 hours! But, the customer service was exceptional. If you want to enjoy as a family, I strongly recommend going earlier in the evening. By 10 o'clock it was mostly rowdy teenagers. They do have a great security staff though. Overall, very fun experience.

I came in with 4 people and payed for 3 games all together and we bowled 2 1/2 games and the game said to contact front desk. We asked why did it stopped half way in the 3rd game. They said because the computer doesn't lie but yet we were halfway done with the 3rd. Never again am I coming here to get ripped off. Easily could've just let us finish our game. 1 star given.

We paid $5 a game and rented the shoes. For a few hours of fun and frustration with 3 kids it was a fun day. They have a special, $2 a game on Wednesdays. My 7 year old is already asking to come back here! Plus they have some yummy food, but it's pricey.

I've had the tasty chicken plate three times, and the name is aptly appropriate: it is indeed tasty. And the portions are enough I share with my three year old and we are both filled up. Go for the chicken. Stay for the bowling.

I love this bowling alley because of the full bar and the restaurant that sells legit food at nicely sized portion and moderately priced for Hawaii. The pizza and the chicken are sooooo yummy that’s what I usually get when I go plus like a cookie or something so yum. On Tuesday you bowl for like $2 or something like that. My son loves going to bowl so it’s perfect.

Wait time at 7pm was about 5 -10 min for a party of 8, since it was only a Monday. Majority of us ordered the Ox Tail Soup, (I got Ramen in it. You gotta try this!) Made reservations earlier that day, all 20 of us got there, the hostess told us, are all of your group present? we were. She said we still had to wait for tables to open up about 25 minutes which was fine. 25 minutes went by , still waiting, we finally got our tables, we notice, some had utensils some didn't, our waitress seems like she was hot and bothered, taking our orders with a scowl on her face lol Our food came out 20 minutes later and all our food was tasty

If you haven't been here before, add the Ox-tail soup, tasty chicken and lemon crunch pie to your must try list. The Ox-tail falls right off the bone as the soup adds an awesome sooth to the taste. The tasty chicken is crunchy, sweet and juicy as you bite into it. The lemon crunch pie is delightful zesty treat that will leave you wanting more.

Had seen this location on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and had to check it out when I visited Hawaii. The food was amazing. There was a tremendous variety of local Hawaiian favorites, as well as Asian dishes, standard Americana and some amazing custom fare that you can't find anywhere else. If you're ever visiting Honolulu or Oahu in general, be sure to get down to Aiea Bowl.

We've been in Hawaii for a week and we've eaten at: Roy's, Monkeypod, Pizza Corner, Jackie's Diner, Giovanni's food truck, foodcourt at Waimea Valley visitor center, the Thai food truck by Hawaii Polo on Farrington, and the fancy buffet at the Aulani Disney resort with all you can eat king crabs. Ya'll I just have to say THIS BY FAR WAS OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT! What a perfect ending to our stay here! So glad we came. The tasty chicken is definitely tasty. Reminded me of my favorite chicken spot in Houston. It's located in an H Mart grocery store. This is located in a bowling alley! Lol The short ribs and chicken are on the sweet side so if that's not your thang, you won't like it. The garlic fries are good, just the right amount of crunch and garlic. The oxtail soup is good but a little on the salty side for me. Nothing some rice can't fix. Service was good, everyone was friendly. Definitely will come back for lunch tomorrow and try the other stuff on the menu!

We only go on Wednesdays when it's a great deal. The cost per game is $2. Thursdays is ladies night, and ladies bowl for free. There are other specials on other days like 2 games for $5 or bowl by the hour. FYI the shoe rental is $3.50 per pair. The lanes are not in good shape so for me that's the only negative. They have a great restaurant that was featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" a few years ago. There is ample parking all around the building.

We were lucky to find this place on our way home from the beach. The chicken was incredible, the hamburgers are fantastic, the Pumpkin Crunch Cake was divine. Don't be fooled by the outside - this is one of the best food places that we've had on our vacation.

I think the rates here are decent. The facility itself is clean and well maintained, the shoe rentals are in great condition, and the rental balls are "good enough" a 3 out of 5. I like this bowling alley mostly because it has The Alley inside of it and I can get a piece of Lemon Crunch before I leave. Otherwise, I prefer going to the military base bowling alleys as they are cheaper for me and the lanes are a little better I think.

Horrible, is it legal to rent bowling shoes when nobody's sliding cause it's so sticky on the approach, might as well rent tennis shoes. I have my own shoes and thought maybe it was me, then I stepped back to watch everyone else and not one person slid on the approach. I get it, everyone loves the food, then dont advertise as a bowling alley. I would have made a big deal while I was there but I was with my fiance, her son and grandkids, and I'm not going to ruin family time cause Aiea bowl is basically ripping people off. The one star is because I cant complain about the food. But seriously Aiea bowl, does anyone that works there actually a bowler? I highly doubt it, cause if they were they wouldn't let these lanes go down the gutter. No pun intended.

Zero customer service, no aloha! The bartender, a older female, was unpleasantly inattentive. After serving the 2 customers ahead of me, she rudely overlooked me and served numerous customers who came after me their alcoholic beverages. We’ve been to this bowling alley, and I think we’ve finally had enough. I don’t think we’ll come back here again. Their lanes aren’t in the best shape, you can clearly see the wear on the lanes. Their employee at the front desk, a short, sweet, old lady, misunderstood what we wanted to do both times we went up there to start our games. Sadly, this happens any time we come here and see her at the front desk.

This is a bowling alley that is packed with customers who come for the food, not the pins. I was surprised by how many people were lined up to eat at a bowling alley. I was expecting the usual hot dogs, cold fries and lousy sandwiches but instead I found a massive menu of local favorites. The prices were pretty fair but the portions were very large. The restaurant in Aiea Bowl is nothing like your typical bowling alley food. There is a full sit down table area with waiting staff. Pretty much anything you can think of is on their menu. Service was quick even though there were about 10 people waiting for a table in front of me. This is a local favorite tucked away in a bowling alley, who knew?

This bowling alley sure has changed a lot over the years. It's located on the 3rd level of the Aiea Shopping Center. There's a bunch of parking but depending what time you go, parking can be a challenge. I remember when this place was dark and kind of sketchy to go here. But then they got new owners, (this was like over 10 years ago btw) and completely revamped the place. It's brighter, cleaner, updated and a fun place to go. I must say the owners do keep the place in really good condition, even the bowling balls don't look all ratty and beat up. Another plus is that the lanes are great, the balls don't get stuck in the back very often and the score tracking is in color and updated unlike some of the older bowling alleys. They really take care of this place. There are 24 lanes here and they have regular, cosmic and league bowling. They even turn into a semi-lounge/club like place too on some nights. Just make sure you check their schedules on their website, social media or directly with them so you come at the right time. It's great for dates, hanging with your friends or family, or even a work get together. They have a great restaurant and bar too. Make sure you check their social media for discounts and promotions! ******** The Bowling Alley, It's a great place to have fun. No gutter balls please.
