Lanes were pretty good. Can't really complain about them... My thumb ripping is what gets the 1 star.. the AC was down but they had portable units that helped. The friendly staff always makes things better

I called a few weeks in advance of my group's planned visit to confirm availability of lanes and was told there would be space available. I asked about reservations, and was told that reservations were accepted 48 hours in advance. When I called back to reserve the lanes, I was told there is league bowling and that no lanes were available. This was the exact problem I tried to avoid by calling in advance. After much deliberation, the staff member "found a couple lanes" for my group, but I was then told the pricing on the website (which they were unaware of) could not be honored, as there is "hourly reservation" pricing that was not mentioned in my previous conversations. Overall, the staff seems unaware of what is going on, and as a result, I had to cancel my event with only 24 hours notice to those planning to attend.

I'm giving this location of 4, it would have gotten a 5, but it did not have air condition. It was so hot, and they had fans running, but here is what deserves the 5 ⭐ $1 dollar games. All you have to pay is a dollar per game, and that was awesome, best, bowling, ever they could have had more balls with different hole sizes, but the price you cannot beat.

My family goes here occasionally and it's quite a fun place. The food is delicious, especially the buffalo wings. The place is usually packed on the weekends and the line goes to the door. What surprises me is that the lanes always mess up with the score somehow, requiring you to enter it manually.

There is two couple kissing at each other which is a people that works in the place. and there is this one guy said his the manager of the place and being so rude to us. Our lane been off many times all we want is to have it fix but this people are are so mean and doesn’t want to do anything to make it better . had a blast with the family on Sunday night. they have a special after 9pm, all you can bowl for $6.99 (closing at 12:30am). The special is for Sunday to Thursday, and $13.99 on Fridays. The manager is a great guy. He saw we had a little child and kept the adjacent lanes offline as much as possible to provide some buffer room. Very accommodating for birthday parties (no minimum guest roster or weeks in advance notice). Food is a bit pricey but they have alcohol and an array of food. Highly recommend for a late night dates and parties. We'll be back again!

It was so hot!!! They only had 2 portable ac's for the Florida state tournament singles & doubles on Sunday so it wasn't fair for us to have essentially no ac! Personally, my fingers swell badly in 80 heat inside. Also very wet hands & body! I may have bowled much better had I not been forced to fight heat & humidity!

It's an old bowling alley. Smoke smell from years of indoor smoking is gone, but it's a bit rundown. Birthday party packages appear to be a good deal for the money. Food is much better than you'd expect.

The worst attendance I've ever had. We were 15 people, 6 kids and 5 adults. We requested 3 lanes, 2 for kids and 1 for the adults. They only permited us to 2 lanes. There were many free lanes!!!!. We were planning on playing two rounds and have dinner. But only the kids ended up playing one round. They lost near $100 due to not giving us one more lane. Andy had poor customer service and was extremely rude to us. We won't return again.

For the league bowlers: lane consistency is lacking, temperatures are always in flux, and the equipment is spotty at best. Quite often have balls come back with markings on them For the casual bowler it's a good solid experience, equipment could use some updating but otherwise a run of the mill house

It was a run of the mill bowling alley and didn't stand out compared to any of the others I have been to. They had 50 lanes and when I went at 6pm on a Thursday it was a pretty light crowd so it wasn't cramped. The prices were fairly good (I paid $15 for shoe rental and two games of bowling). My only issue is that the building was hard to find from the road and it was a bit dated on both the inside and outside. There is a concession stand with a large variety of items however, I didn't get a chance to try them.

Everytime I go to a bowling alley i get a sad retro feel. It seems like most of them peaked in the 80s and are now surviving. This is not the exception. Location feels dated and sad... The food court was messy and very slow service. They guy was doing the bet he could but it's hard to be casher cook and bar tender at the same time. Hot dogs were 50c so worth the wait. The lanes are property maintained and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I have been going to this place for over 20+ years and was never treated so rudely. The lane broke down 9 times and the manger attitude was of well - I even bowled in a league at least 5 times and will never go there again and will tell all my Ashburn friends - NEVER to start a league or done open league. Amazing the manager stated we did not show him respect because we ask for one of the five games to be refunded. I will post on yelp and Facebook - go to Leesburg and NEVER go to this place again. Horrible Service and Management was incredibly worst. Wow

You can get very good deals here, which can result in a family paying only for the shoes, or pay substantially less than the asking price. Of course, shoes can be dirty and the balls grimy, but that's why there's laundry for socks at home and restrooms for washing hands onsite. :-) There are ample lanes, a restaurant serving small food items, snacks, soft drinks, etc., and a small number of arcade games. The staff is genial and helpful. It can be quite busy on weekends and holidays. All in all, a good experience.

Bowling experience was great. Food experience was unpleasant. Since they were short staffed today, I spent more time waiting for food than watching the birthday party. There was no organization of receiving food orders and it took a good 40 minutes before they asked what we had ordered. They were unapologetic but they finally delivered. Birthday party was great and the host was very attentive. Would come for that experience again but definitely not ordering food unless they are full staffed.

Really rude staff. They tell you that bumpers are only for kids. Bumpers shouldn't matter for age, it's for skill. I usually go with younger members of my family and they don't have fun just throwing it in the gutter, so bumpers are necessary for them. Also one time I went and requested bumpers for some of my young cousins but they wouldn't allow it because I was bowling with them in the lane, but they gave bumpers to some teenagers the lane next to us, when I confronted a manager about it they claimed "they didn't see it". I will never go to this establishment again, King pinz is now my bowling alley of choice, they have better customer service, and don't care what age you are for bumpers....

I go here bowling every weekend and I am a part of the junior bowling team at this establishment and I personally love the oil patterns!! The oil cuts off perfect and the food is really good, I eat there every time I'm there and I absolutely love it. The staff is very fun and kind hearted. Coach Josh is one of the best bowl instructors there as well as Coach Andy and Coach Bill. The team is one of the best places to spend your Saturday and Sunday as well as throughout summer they take summer classes and there are no restrictions to how talented you have to be in order to join. I love bowling here, its a great environment with great people. So come on down to BAM we have over 30 lanes of fun and an arcade and a bar with alcoholic beverages to enjoy. We have a pro shop for drillings and we have a party room and dinning room where you can sit and talk.

Everything went awesome just wish they had a bigger selection of 13 and 14 pound balls. Hard to find one that fit the fingers. Our group was the loudest ones there and they were fine with it because we were having fun but not doing anything too crazy. The Sunday special is nice just get there around 6 to make sure you have a lane because of the leagues

Went for the first time as part of a summer camp field trip. The facility was clean and welcoming. The staff was kind and helpful. They provided us with a number of ramps for our little ones upon request. Stuck gutter balls and fallen bumpers were fixed immediately.

If you're a person of color this is not a friendly environment. Had a birthday party at this establishment spent over $500 and the staff was ignorant and unprofessional. Racial profiling occurs here so beware. JSO is also on duty here and will side with the establishment regardless of the customer.

I'm not a fan of bowling, maybe that's the reason I did not like this place as such of other reviewers. Clean enough, but not good managed the balls based on the weight and size. Of course foods and drinks are expensive if you buy them there, but not very expensive as some entertainment facilities in the northern Virginia area. Parking spots are available a lot, and access to the facility is not difficult.

Bowling. Brought the kids after signing up for their rewards thing. Free game for the kids and one adult per month. We played two games each and rented shoes so it wasn’t free, but it was nearly half the price it otherwise would have been. Kids used bumpers and had a great time. The “machinery” got gummed up several times and we had to get them to reset the lane. It wasn’t a big hassle but it meant going up to the desk and standing in line. We didn’t eat, but food and drink options are available. They have a digital scoreboard that figures everything out for you, albeit with the occasional mistake.

A great night turned terribly wrong. WE WERE RIPPED OFF AND TREATED HORRIBLY. We were told when we arrived that to do the unlimited bowling for the night you take your shoes and pay at the end. When we tried to pay at the end THEY LIED TO US and charged us per game claiming we were making it up that the woman working the cash register told us to pay at the end. WHY WOULD WE MAKE THAT UP???? All 7 of us would've paid on the spot....... To make matters worse, DAVID L THE CUSTOMER REPRESENTATIVE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE RUDE. CUSTOMER SERVICE REP? TRY CUSTOMER RIP YOU OFF REP! When we questioned this immaculate change of policy that magically took place in the 2 hours we were there he threatened to call the cops. Instead of doing his job as a customer service rep and trying to keep A PARTY OF 7 as happy and loyal customers HE LOST ALL OF OUR BUSINESS. I WILL NEVER RETURN. This is a matter of principle and they screwed us over.

Update: District Manager and alley manager followed up and acknowledged poor service and made it right. That's all I needed - a follow up. Great customer service following a horrible experience. I'll certainly give them another chance after all. Thank you for rectifying this! ____________________________ It takes A LOT for me to complain…but my experience was almost like a bad SITCOM! Just hit after hit after hit for my daughter's birthday party over the weekend. COMPLETE DISASTER! The party package we chose was discussed and confirmed TWICE with them before the party and again with the “party hostess” (eye roll) when we arrived. I put the deposit down weeks in advance for this party…. 1) They “ran out” of the food we ordered (and that I put a deposit down on). Why? “They had an unexpected big party” come in who claimed it. So, what was my deposit for? Mistakes happen – no big deal, so I ordered something else to replace it all. This food came out about 15 mins before the party ENDED. AND HALF OF THE (replacement) ORDER WAS NOT EVEN PUT IN. So, I had guests who did not have an ounce of food or drink. 2) The poor kids were so thirsty and I asked them to please bring the drinks that were part of the package out BEFORE the food (since the party was almost over) – I had to argue for that – and guess what? That was messed up too. 3) Oh, they also forgot to bring out the ice cream and asked me as my guests are leaving “did you want your ice cream?” (that I paid for) 4) The “party hostess” was never around; told me “her hands were full” when I reminded her that she had forgotten something we asked for about 30 mins earlier (just those drinks for the kids who are very thirsty from bowling). YES – HER HANDS WERE FULL EATING THE PREVIOUS PARTY’S CAKE….in my face. So unprofessional. She also lied about all of this when I asked to speak to her manager – totally lied! 5) Also, heard the operational issues about the “turmoil” between wait staff and the cook staff. I DON’T need to know this – I need what I paid for. Period. They try to rectify with a certificate for another (smaller) party – NO THANK YOU. I won’t be there again! Because I was embarrassed enough that my party guests didn’t get food/drinks/ice cream, I didn’t make TOO BIG of a deal (to embarrass myself more) but I wish I had DEMANDED a full refund. Or, they should have offered. NOPE! Honestly, I just wanted to get away from that place. SUCH A POORLY RUN operation! LAZY “party hostess”. JUST HORRIBLE!! (again, I NEVER complain…that’s how bad this experience was!) Makes me sad!

I enjoyed bowling here with friends from my office, but the bowling ball selection was not great. I have normal/not thick fingers. I had to bowl with 13lb-16lb balls here as Every ball smaller had very tiny holes. I've bowled Many times across the country and Always find 11/12lb balls bored to normal size hands, and those suit me better. Many of the balls were very banged up. Other than that the staff, prices, and food was good.

OK, I just went a couple of days ago and I have good news! BOWL AMERICA IS SMOKE FREE NOW!!!!!!!!! When I walked up to the front door, I was preparing myself for the giant cloud of smoke that I thought was going to hit me when I walked in, but, on the door there was a sign that said "Effective Dec. 1st in compliance with Virginia's new smoke-free law, smoking will no longer be allowed at this Bowl America location" Anyway, besides that, the service has also improved since last time! I now give it 4 stars!

There is nothing less than 1 star because they don't even deserve that star. I cannot fathom, contract or not, why the Florida State USBC would continue our state competition in a center with no A/C. They tried to bring in portable ones but it just didn't work. It was way to hot in the center to bowl and concentrate. I was sweating everywhere. I am not blaming my bad bowling entirely on that issue but it certainly contributed to my performance. I even had teammates drop out of the singles games because they just couldnt take the heat. Legs and fingers swelled. Thats a waste of money!

Old establishment probably run by a family. I would've given a 5 star but the serving staff, I think, was pretty rude. I made the mistake of taking two fountain drinks to the bowling area which is against the rules. When the serving staff came around with the remaining order, she literally yelled at me that drinks were not allowed in the area. And this is right in front of a packed house. If she doesnt have the courtesy of calling me to the side and letting me know politely, I dont think I want to go here anymore. There are better places to bowl at and have a fun time. I certainly wont be returning here and will ask my family to stay away as well.

this is one of the best bowling alleys ever cuz it combines new technology with the old nostalgia of an old bowling alley that I just love the people are great they're friendly it's never too busy you never have to wait for a lane and the people at the bar give you really good drinks not water down like a lot of other places they really give you your money's worth it's great food to it's a lot of fun hope you enjoy it

I was there late on a Monday night. Pretty clean place, staff was super friendly, wasn't crowded and was just overall a nice place to be. Mugs are nicely iced, games are cheap, food was really good and not set to ridiculous prices like most places. If I had to saying I didn't like something then it would be the wall where you're bowling. It just plain and meh. Should think about having a street artist come in and draw/paint something. Other than that it's a great place.

Awesome place. The price is also pretty decent. I went after 9 pm at that time there is no time limit or per hour you pay once and you are good until 12:30am. There are bunch of lanes.
