Most amazing place to spend family time !!! We go here at least twice a week with the kids . They get to play in the arcade as my husband and I spend time with the bartender Seana. After a long absence from bowling, I decided to take the plunge and get back into it. I needed the exercise and this is comfortable.-Air conditioned, clean bathrooms and snacks. I purchased a ball and shoes from the pro shop and the young man was very helpful when I was choosing my ball and shoes. He was able to drill the holes for my ball right there but had to order my shoes. I have been here about five times to bowl and during the day, which hasn't been crowded. I suspect that will change once school vacation starts. I purchased the summer pass which is an AWESOME deal. The staff has been friendly and the place has had some upgrades during my long break. The French fries are great.

Had a really great time here and I was surprised there was food and drink service at the lanes. However, the music playing was all over the place from r&b to country and it was weird and our server messed up our drink order a few times. Overall would go back though. Great location excellent prices.

Worst customer Service. We were group of 6 people and we asked for 2 lanes. They didn't agree and gave us only 1 lane. As per the website Monday closing time is 12. They closed at 11PM. We asked why they are closing early and the staff said as the manager is not there we are closing early. That was a rude answer. You should at least follow what you mentioned in your website. We came today Because it's unlimited bowling on Monday till 12 AM. But we were totally disappointed with this Service

I came here for a company event and I must say I enjoyed myself...alcohol is available for those that drink as well as non alcoholic beverages. It's a fairly large building. Restrooms and the facility was clean and well kept. I'll definitely be coming back for leisure time

Worst experience in my life! The place looked like very dirty and there were no servers at all! I was in a group of four people and we wanted to get just 4 cokes. The result? I was third in the line and I literally waited 40 minutes to get my drinks. The lady was veeeeeery veeery slow. She needed 15 minutes PER PERSON to get the order. It was RIDICOLOUS! On top of that the lady was in the same time the cashier and the "cook" and to be honest with you, I don't think it was nice at all. What else? Well, 5 billiards on 6 were not working properly and not all of them had the white ball... It was the worst experience in Charlotte... No doubt at all.

Love coming to this place, especially while family are visiting. Food and drinks are great here. Only con is that sometimes, depending on the nights, it can be too overcrowded and may seem uncomfortable especially since there's not much room or space between other lanes.

I’ve been to AMF’s in many different states , this one has one of the worse customer service , they are rude and have a very bad attitude towards customer. Been there 4,5 times and had to call manager 3,4 times regarding food and extra charges being made on the card.

I went there with my wife and daughter Saturday August 24, it cost us $32.00 for one round of bowling. We were there less than one hour, THANK GOD!! ,and we had to keep getting a employee because the lane would not set the pins back up. We spent $32.00 to watch someone work on something. It ruined our Saturday. RIDICULOUS!!! Never going back and word of mouth gets around, I'm telling everyone .Thanks AMF. NOT!!!

It is a pleasant and well maintained bowling alley. I don't care for how they have the tables and chairs arranged in relation to the alleys themselves. I have heard other bowlers also complain about same. It's confusing to determine what table and chairs should go with what alley. Overall, the bowling alley does an above average good job from a customer service standpoint.

The prices are to be expectedly up there, 3 adults played 4 games plus rented shoes for $82, but awesome for a nice night with friends and family. My mother wanted to bowl for her birthday and we didn't have to wait at all to get a lane and start bowling after 5p on a Saturday.

I loved it!! It was clean. The shoes were clean, comfortable and new. They had arcade games as well. I went in the morning. I didn't see any food. That was the only thing I didn't like. There was no food. They have several leagues going on and the prices are good. I will go again.

Bowling is definitely a dying past time activity, but this place could use some upgrades and TLC inside. They removed the chairs in front of the scoreboard, so hopefully that will be filled with something soon. Overall not the worst place.

The bar area looked nice and would bump this to a 3 1/2 star since it's more then just a bowling alley but just a lack of wow Experience to make it a 4. Take the kids to enjoy but wouldn't expect more then just an average Experience

I was there on both weekdays and weekends...man..this place is packed at weekends...so you're warned...I don't know for others but for me it was a bit on the expensive side...two of us spend 42 dollars for just 3 games...the place was packed and literally just one or two person running the whole place... needs better management... facilities are good...food n drinks available... Concession staff is consistently under staffed, service is very slow. Employees are doing the best they can but have three registers (1 staff) over 20 lanes (1 manager) a food shack (2 staff) plus a bar, pool tables. They are stretched too thin and don't get paid enough. Its great place to go however, eat before you come.

Ro the general manager is so professional and extremely helpful. There was a huge mix-up with the payment for our bowling party. She made a very stressful situation so much better and I appreciate her for that!!! I highly recommend AMF on 56th. They will ask you to rent their shoes and pay for it and without it they won't allow you to enter into game lane. So leave the worries about wearing a good pair of slip-resistant shoes because whatever be the case, they won't work for the employees. Daily charges vary so going ahead asking about that day's price is a well planned visit.

Customer service is not a priority at this bowling alley. There is a unique difference between being short staffed (3 employees at 4p) and not even putting forth the effort to meet your PAYING customers needs or wants. The manager on duty (1 of the 3 employees) spent more time in the office than helping his employees take care of customers. I could go on and on but I'm sure based off of the responsiveness that the manager/management showed today NOTHING will change. So no need to elaborate. If you don't believe my review roll the dice and take a chance for yourself.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday because I heard the bartenders drinks were incredible and we wanted a family environment to drink in, as our two kids were with us. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. All the staff seemed to be super busy with everyone so we didnt interact with them other than to order some food, but the bartender, Shanna was super nice and really went out of her way to make us the best drinks she had available. Even made my man birthday cake shots!! Very affordable cocktails and a great vibe! This place is going to turn in to a local hotspot fast!

Been coming here on Sundays for the last few weeks in a row. There's usually almost all 40 lanes being bowled and consistently only two staff so if you need anything expect nearly an hour for them to help you. Terribly slow due to being terribly understaffed.

Had a good time brought my two small children. They didn't have the ramp thing for the kids available which was a problem at first but we decide to go ahead an just try to use just the bumpers for our 4 year old she had trouble trowing the ball but it all worked out. I went the other night with my friends and we were just planning on bowling a few games. But we went to get a few drinks and the bartender was so amazing and courteous, in addition to mixing the best drinks we've had in a long time. She was so inviting that we decided to hang at the bar after we bowled. We found out her name was Seana and had such a great knowledge of drinks and recommendations that she truly made our night out better! In addition to having an amazing bartender, your whole center looks fantastic, haven't been in awhile and you all have kept it in great shape and upgrades are noticeable!

The Saturday morning staff was very helpful and friendly. They got my lane set up for the little ones, and made sure we had the right sized bowling balls for them! When they got hungry, the food was good, quick, and delivered with a smile!

We went for a corporate event and it was a lot of fun. Everybody enjoyed the food the pizza was very good good french fries and they do have a dedicated fryer if you ask so you can make gluten free French fries if you're there. Didn't accept cash to play. They needed a card to hold something in the system? Apparently people walk out without paying. That wouldn't happen if you just pay up front and control the amount of times a person bowls through the system, like other bowling alley's. Bowling alley is alright, not a huge fan of the lanes.

The food sucks. Chicken wings the size of pigeons and beyond frozen, the cartridge is fossilized. Drink specials are decent. But they keep the lanes well maintained. Bowling prices are the lowest in town.

I mean, sure you can bowl, but you might also want counter staff to know what is going on, how to set up a lane, or be able to assist you. I haven't had that be true when I've visited this location - after we were assigned a lane, it took 20 minutes to get the scoring station reset... And another 10 to confirm that they told us to be in that lane to begin with. Pass on to another alley or form of entertainment.

I went to AMF University to buy a Bowling ball and was sadly disappointed. The bowling shop had a decent selection of balls in house ranging from novice to experienced. The problem I ran into was the gentleman who was working there. I am just getting in to bowling and only know what I know fro. Watching a few YouTube videos, I have no experience beyond that. The problem I had with the gentleman was he did not seem to be knowledgeable about balls at all. As I was asking questions cute to scary about the shop doing what he was doing before I got there seeming as if he was not knowledgeable nor interested in selling me anything. The questions I asked where mint with vague answers and no motivation at all therefore I left the bowling shop after 10 minutes greatly frustrated. I got it I would recommend bowling, what's going on however I would not recommend using shop.

We had a great time bowling! The lanes are well maintained and there are a ton of bowling balls to choose from. The rental shoes seemed clean, which is always a bonus. On Thursdays, the night we went, they have college night, which was all you could bowl from 9-11 pm, with shoe rental, for $7!!

Place is fun. The manager and a bunch of employees were horrible. This one server didn't like me for no reason and cut me off after a few drinks. I wasn't even buzzed. I talked to her manager afterwards and he was 100% biased and stood by her side even though she was wrong. The most horrible customer service of all time. Will not be going here again. One of the awesome place to have fun. There are a lot of fun activities e.g. Bowling, Pool, etc. food palace and many more. They do have student discount on Thursdays and Military discount everyday. Staffs are helpful and awesome. Enough parking space and close to University of South Florida. I would recommend this place.

First time there, and I particularly didn't like that you can't pay Upfront for whatever you're going to bowl, they had to hold a card for us to bowl, what if we were unable to present a card for them to hold then we wouldn't be able to bowl! I think they should take an example from pinchasers and especially on a holiday we went on Good Friday and there were about 10 people in there, they should have already been planning to have an all you can bowl during the day for let's say something reasonable like $15 for two hours Etc that's why we go to pinchasers and we pay $14 and we can bowl all we want for 2 hours and we pay up front and there's no hassle with a card or anything like that... Just voicing my opinion, I will not go back to this bowling alley anymore.

We were very disappointed to find the snack bar closed for upgrades. We were planning to have pizza for our birthday group but there is none at the bar and the limited menu in the bar is very expensive. Otherwise, Armine and the rest of the staff were helpful and friendly. Decided to cut the evening short, but will likely be back when the snack bar is finished.

The bowling experience was great and the staff was really nice. They were able to take pictures for us. Food is way over priced, however, and a small portion kids menu meal costs around $5. But as long as you eat before you come it'll be fine.

Seana is an amazing bartender. Everytime I come in she always greets me with a smile very professional and fast. When I walk in she can always remember what I drink. By far one of my favorite places to come to when I want to grab a drink. The bar is great to either sit at the bar and watch sports or play a game of pool or just relax at a table. Seana definitely cares about the customers between making your standard mix drinks to helping you pick a drink out of the drink book. I would definitely recommend 10 stars to anyone that wants unbelievable service.

This bowling alley isn’t the cleanest or most up to date however usually my family enjoys coming to play a quick couple of games, however last weekend we had a little get together for my brother and got the worst service and were completely disrespected. We had ordered a couple pizzas, cheese sticks and beers and then requested water, a pitcher or a couple cups but was DECLINED!! After being declined for water one the employees laughed in my papa’s face because he had gotten upset. Then I took my little girl up to the concession to buy her a drink because she wanted juice, the lady at the cash register refused to take my order and said I need my lane server. The server walked up and said it was fine so she finally took my order for a Gatorade and had the nerve to ask for a tip!!! Once the employees were upset with us we were ignored the rest of the night; no one asking if we needed refills, or place any orders, no one cleaning the large pizza pans or anything! Needless to say this is not somewhere my family will be visiting again.

Bowling here is really fun and cheap too. They always have deals because the food is SO expensive for a bowling alley. But it's ok because the bowling is really cheap and they always have deals. Staff is always nice without fake smiles. They are really kind and helpful. Don't be fooled by the outside. It's big. They have 30 lanes and a few pool tables, a bar, a restaurant, and it's not cramped.

First time my friends and I have ever been here. About 8 of us walked in to automatic great customer service at the desk of what my friends and I were doing. They walked us through how to start the games and from there it just got better. We had one lady that was coming to us from the other side of the building that was asking us if we were alright and needed any more drinks or even food. It took about 10 maybe even 15 minutes and our drink were replaced with new ones and food was out and ready to eat. There was security that was there that constantly walked around keeping an eye on everyone. It made us feel safe and I really think this is a great place for family and friends to spend time together and have a great time. Thank you AMF University staff for everything y all did for us and helping though the night. 5/5 stars from us.

My family traveled to this center for youth travel league. It was a bit chaotic at first due to a new system with their lanes. The biggest disappointment was the lack of service received in the food service area. After waiting 30 minutes in line behind 4 orders the lady stopped taking orders to do something else like the line was not long enough. When I told her that I've been waiting a long time and only wanted to purchase 4 drinks, the response was NOT indicative of great customer service. It did not help that when she finally took my order, those 4 drinks were $17.28. I have never paid $4 for a 20 oz. Gatorade! This is highway robbery. Our family was going to bowl after the tournament but chose not to because of the level of service we experienced thus far.

Service was horrendous.... couldn't order food because the one guy grilling couldn't work the register.... the bartender was the current manager who wasn't good at bartending reading off a sheet to make drinks(I had a single beer).... and to rent a lane we had to fight to be seen standing directly in front of employeeS who never addressed us. I don't care how loyal your core crowd or neighborhood is ... I just feel no business should be able to exist with this poor display of management and customer service.

Purchased a Groupon for $20 which included 2hrs of bowling and shoes but this location was very crappy. The machines are very old and every time the pins reset 1-2 would fall over and would not manually reset (Lane 10). There was only ONE attendant. While he was very polite, he was responsible for making food, assigning lanes (cashier) and fixing any issues with the lanes. We felt terrible for the poor guy and ended up leaving. Steer clear of this AMF, if possible, but do purchase their Groupon and try another location.

Best day of my life. We had our gender reveal here and they did an awesome job. The general manger David was extraordinarily. He made sure we had everything; checked on us consistently. Diamond one of the servers kept the food/drinks coming. The crew took there time to paint the pins to reveal the gender of the sex. The whole set-up was just unexpected. We had the times of our lives. We came on a Saturday and will attend again.

He was nice enough, but I ordered a beer, it came 10 min later and was warm as can be. Went to get another and after 30 min of waiting finally just went back to ask for my money back. Not a deal breaker, just kinda sucked, wanted a beer with my bowling. Would go back again just hope they have more people working next time.

This place is terrible. I had to press the auto reset (rerack) button five different times during the one and only game my wife and I played. Also, the score keeping system is old and outdated. It gave me three different turns on a single frame and it did not acurrately count the number of remaining standing pins at least twice. When my wife and I said something about the issues the staff member walking around the alley blew us off and simply pressed the auto reset button and told us the problem was "fixed" and showed no concern. Never again will I waste my money on this place.

I used to come here when I went to USF and loved this place. Now, it's a place I never want to return. Friday night, the place is about 60% full and there aren't enough balls for people to use. The person I asked about their ball situation couldn't take the time to look up from what he was doing to engage me in a conversation but told me he can't be bothered and to ask other bowlers to borrow their balls. Very disappointed.

I first found this place when my boss held a party for our dental office. We come here on tuesday for the $2 long islands! Theres a blonde bartender who is always there and her drinks are consistently impressive. She even sets out neat little games for us at the bar. The food is just ok. Fries are great! The lane service is terrible, they seem annoyed if I ask to order from them so we just order from the snack bar or the bartender. The owner is very friendly also.

The staff is very friendly but the food service was really slow. I was there with my kids and I ordered loaded fries and 4 drinks at the start of the game. By the time we were on the tenth frame and I was about to go cancel the order, it was ready. There was apparently a birthday party about to start there so I don't want to hold it against them too much. We still had a great time.

While they have special pricing on certain days of the week, there were none on the day we visited. We typically go to Pin Chasers so paying $3.50 for shoe rental was ridiculous. The price per game of bowling was a little high, too. The concession stand food was typical bowling alley fare and the prices were high here too. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the place was clean and well- maintained. Still, for 3 people to bowl 3 games with 3 drinks and some mozzarella cheese sticks and french fries to share cost $100. That is much higher than i usually pay. They had a lot of alcoholic drink specials with a large variety for the college crowd. Probably will not return because of the cost. We will stick with Pinchasers.

I took my kids here during lunch to bowl and grab food. The concessions was not staffed so we could not order food (they did come back as we were almost done bowling to see if I wanted to order then but we were almost ready to leave by then. I have a 5 and 12 yr old and wanted the bumpers just for the 5 yr old however the bumpers had to be pulled up manually so we all had to use them and then the balls kept getting stuck behind the pins - we could see them spinning....we ended up getting extra balls to ensure that we would not have to call for service each time
