Love coming here for the 8:30 special but the chefs are all untrained. If you order past 8:30 they will intentionally mess up your order to spite you. Skip the food, just go bowling and save yourself the trouble of dealing with a bunch of immaturity. I had left 5 stars before but after a few times of this happening I'll wait for this place to earn that rating again.

To sign up online, you can receive two free games a day. The kids had a great time, it was clean and the staff was friendly. I recommend as a great morning or afternoon activity. Adults can join in the fun as well! Everything is automated so you can take down and put bumpers back up.

Very tight space,uncomfortable seating,food was mediocre,the arcade area is very small with limited game options mostly filled with claw machines that eat all of your tokens and outdated bowler console.The only good part about the place was the staff.They were so helpful,cheerful and kind. Had so much fun! And no complaints. Great place to meet with family members of most ages to laugh, bowl, and have a place to meet up together. Also saw an arcade and lounge with pool table, but we weren't using those. I recommend this place to those who haven't thought of it.

Great Family place for all ages. Nice Clean, bumper bowling with ramps for the kids. My kids as young as 4 had great fun. Weekly sales and league discounts make bowling affordable. Currently they have a kids bowl free promotion, to make it even more affordable.

We did the bowling after dark. Which is on Saturday nights from 10:30pm to 1am. It's 17 dollars all you can bowl. They have a DJ, play some games, and, did one raffle using the numbers on your wristband. It was an inexpensive good time everyone enjoyed themselves. The only real issue was the service at the grill. The staff was not friendly and unprofessional and did not let use know when our order was up and it sat for awhile. Just not a good look. I definitely would skip the food next time. The bar and bowling though they get two thumbs up.

Nice bowling alley, lanes and tables are very close but not anything abnormal. Service is all really great, the bars prices are decent. It was hard finding any balls under 14lbs. All in all a nice experience.

This place growing up in the area was memorable from birthday parties to the occasional family day or the place to go on a date freshman year of high school. Over the years very little has changed. The equipment is old the bumpers are still manual the control panels on the floor half of those are busted on the little display piece. Never mind that i took my nephews out for a few games a few weeks ago to share in what i used to love and i spent half a furtune on 4 games. And dont even get me started on the food... lets just say my nephews are 10 and 7 they could eat pizza for every meal of the day, even they wouldnt, they just picked at the fries instead.

We had a party there, and our party host didn't do anything other than ask if we needed napkins and plates. She did not interact with the kids, didn't help or tell us how to put names in the computer. Then at the end we were over charged. We had a lane set for adults, but ended up putting kids on the lane (kids that were alreadd y paod for) because we didn't want the lanes over crowded, so we told the lady, but we still were double charged for those kids. They need to get people, or have more experienced people there when having parties.

Been there for many years, under various names. Upgrades include: single level floor to lanes, upgraded machines, arcade games. Food service closes at odd times, sometimes inconvenient. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, good array of house balls (weights/finger sizes) and shoes.

Stay away! Absolutely the worst bowling experience I've had. I went in to book my party and was told it would be $85 which would include unlimited pizza, soda, and bowling for a "reasonable" amount of people and then they confirmed 15 people would be okay. When I asked them for all that in writing they said they couldn't do it. Now I know why, when my party was finished they charged me $248 saying that it was $85 per lane. When I booked the party I had to speak with 3 diffeeent employees who had no clue what they were talking about. If you ever do business here get EVERYTHING in writing!

Always a good time for the kids. Clean facility with helpful staff. Food service has good selection and food was tasty and fresh. Lanes are in good shape and lighting and atmosphere is updated and pleasant. Bowling balls available for use are not in the best shape, which is to be expected, however if you're having kids bowl be sure to look for decent lightweight balls that aren't too cracked or chipped. The arcade needs some help. I try to avoid arcade games but the kids get sucked in every time so we save it for after bowling. Some games are not in the best shape. It never fails that a game will eat a token or two. Staff is happy enough to assist and gave us extra tokens when that happened.

In my opinion, the price to bowl was a little too high for this ally. For 4 people to play 3 games and rent shoes before 10, it was $78 + tax. If the ally was modern and the place was packed I could understand but for the amount of open lanes, I would be much more likely to return if the price was lower. The food was delicious and prices weren't too bad. Wings, pizza, fried pickles, and curly fries were about $40. It was a fun time for the family.

Great family fun. Friendly staff. Bowling alley offers bowling shoe rentals for $2. They also have gutter blockers for kids and a bowling ball guiders for toddlers so they can place the bowling ball on top and let it slide down with some speed for those who can yet roll the ball. They have black lights, glow lights, strobe lights and disco ball for fun nights. They have music and music videos to watch on tv next to score screen. They have small arcade. They have food like pizza, chicken tenders and salads. Definitely recommend going to some family fun.

I had my childs 5th birthday party at this location today and had a horrible experience from start to finish. We walk in to find out that we have only one ball and it was 10 pounds! Mind you they knew in advance the party was for a 5 year old! There wasnt even one of those things the kids can out the ball on and push it off so they dont have to try to throw the ball. The party attendant had no personality. She did not pay attention when we needed drink refills, she didnt get in there and help the kids bowl, she didnt even smile once. She never brought over forks for the cake until we were already cutting it and we asked for them. They are suppose to put a bowling pin at every table for all the guests at the party to sign and she never brought that over. That should have already been on the table when we got there! I ended up having to go ask for the pin at the front desk and after i asked for it the party attendant walked out from the back room. She barely tended to the party. She kept walking away and wouldn’t come back for a while. She gave me the bill a half hour before the party was over and then started taking all the cups away (which we were still using because i had just asked her to refill the pitchers for us). I live in Norwich and only chose to have my daughters party at this location because we were guests at a birthday party there once and it was a great experience! I will not ever recommend this place to anyone. Whether the party attendant was having a bad day or what not she could have talked to her boss and asked to do another job today. She literally sucked the life out of everyone at the party! Not happy with this place!

It was fun. Karaoke was entertaining to listen too. However, we were playing pool in the bar, ordered a round of drinks, the bartender came around and cleared our table and told me our drinks were empty. I just set my second drink on the table. I went to the bar to close the tab and she offered me another round. Watch your drinks, it's how they make their money.

Spare time is a fun place for people of all ages to stop in and have some good old fashion fun. They offer great deals on bowling. The staff here is amazing any issues I had they were there quickly and efficiently to resolve it. The bar is a cool place to check out due to all the sports memorabilia they have hanging on the walls. The bartenders are awesome! They know how to make awesome drinks. The snack bar has some great food. From the pizza to the fries to the salads it's all great food. I definitely will be going back there again

We were told by a previous employee that Groton would match the discount prices that the Norwich bowling alley always offers the t.b.i. companies..After checking out..We found out this was no longer true..And they charged us each 2$ more each than we were told and previously paid..So..We will go to Norwich now

This is no High Rollers bowling, and the staff (especially food and drink) can be VERY slow at times, but you can't beat the prices. I frequent this place for the $9 unlimited weeknights, or the $13 galaxy bowling on weekends. Either way it's a good deal for a relaxing night with friends.

Terrible experience. Talk about over promising and under delivering. Was told that the wait for a lane would be 5 minutes; it ended up being 25 minutes. Then we were put on a lane with a guy next to us with his 4 kids, ranging in age from 1-10 years old. 2 of the kids took off their shoes and were bowling barefoot, and all of them were stepping into other peoples lanes. Dad couldn’t have cared less. However, for the other paying patrons, our experience was soured by the fact that l, even when I brought this up with the attendant at the desk, nothing was done about it. Rather than doing anything about it, I was told, “maybe if you come back on a Sunday morning when there are less people here, you’ll have a better time.” I’m sorry, but if you don’t care about your paying customers having a positive experience, maybe you could at least be concerned with safety and Heath concerns like bare feet and children dropping bowling balls all over the place. Not going back.

This is a great bowling center. They have many leagues to join for all ages and talents. Open bowling is fun with music and automatic electronic scoring. They also have "galactic bowling" which is Friday and Saturday nights until 1am and is fun for teens and young adults. There is an arcade, restaurant, and full bar in this venue also.
