So this was our first time at Crystal Bees in Southington CT. Overall atmosphere was on the loud side with a lot of flashing lights. Dining area was dark, which made it hard to read the menu, had to break out the flashlight app on the cell to read it. Dining area had an upscale feel with comfortable seating. Nice bowling area and your children could bowl while you sit with friends and they are in close view which is nice. They have a small arcade section too. Nice high ceilings gave it a very comfortable and spacious feel. I had the turkey avocado wrap which was very good, came with fries, cost $12.00. The soda you only get one free refill. Staff was very friendly and checked on us often. Overall a good place to dine and bring the kids for an family evening , but expect it to be dark, pretty loud and lots of flashing lights.

So we fun place for kids of all ages as well as adults. We chose a rainy day for our visit and it wasnt busy which was great as the 7 and 11 yr wanted to bowl. Friendly and helpful staff. Great times!!

Booked my first event here for a company christmas party. Rebecca, their special events plannner and Eric, booking agent, make a great team. We discussed my client's needs and they were very willing to accommodate and offer suggestions. The general bowling and gaming areas are huge as is the VIP Party Room which comes complete with its very own set of bowling lanes and gaming area. Great for a quick bite at the Bistro or a long night filled with great friends and good times.

Service was horrendous. One waitress for the whole place. The order was messed up. Food was decent. The drinks are WAY over priced! Not to mention they charged my card twice and when I called to let them know, they claimed it was a system error and there was nothing they could do about it! I had to wait to the morning to see if the charge went away. Needless to say over a hundred dollars of my money was held hostage. I spoke to the GM and she claimed she was sorry but couldn't do anything about it. This place is completely unprofessional and I don't recommend it.

Very very spacious with lots of entertainment options... I was blown away by the size. However, the service was slow and really lacking even when the place was not that busy. I like the fact that they had a band, bowling, some arcade style options, air hockey, and even a VIP seating area with a private bowling lanes. I also noticed an outdoor patio area with torches burning. Overall, I would say. The place to go if you are claustrophobic and want a lot of options.

Crystal Bees did not live up to the hype. Arcade, bowling, restaurant, all under one roof sounds great! Unfortunately it tries to do too much and does most of it poorly. The bowling is ok but overpriced (like most things here), there are a lot of boring blank beige walls, and the scorekeeping system seems to be a bit outdated. The arcade is fairly small, is a card swipe only system, and way overpriced. I mean most of the arcade games were priced at about $2 a play, and don't get me started on the "vip" discount, which will let you play the games for 10 CENTS less. We also rented their space for a private party, but were not thrilled to learn they don't allow any decorations to be hung on their huge blank walls and NO helium balloons, Also, we wanted to bring in cupcakes but were told we had to buy the cupcakes they sold....but we were allowed to bring in a regular cake. Service for catering and the party was spotty at best, and it took a great deal of effort to get staff to get plates utensils and water refills. In addition one of the private bowling lanes was broken and we only found out after some guests told us afterward. The oddest thing was that the bar was cash only..... so all the arcade games are card only, but you have to pay the barman with cash, no debit or credit cards

The reason I gave this restaurant one star because , where I was sitting was to loud so I asked the waiter if I can sit further by the games which it was little quieter , she said yes you could but I don’t know how fast I can get youbyour food because your far I would need help and I have other so idk how long so I said Ok that’s fine , so then she told another waiter and that waiter said it was reserved to my family then I asked her why we can’t sit there she told me it was reserved . I decided to go to the bar to see where my drinks where the lady saw me and talked to the manager and so I was curious so I asked the manger and said why can’t we sit there he said because we are short staffed if you sit there we will not bring you your food .. this is the far worst experience for being my first time here ,to me it was rude then the server came with the drinks with attitude... thatsks crystal Bees for a bd experience and never again I will come here we spend 175 here and never again..

bowling and arcade games , have to pay at desk for a card with Credits for arcade games . kinda sucks . you earn tickets and can trade those in for prizes . fun , but the prizes are junk. Bowling is nice and you can order food and drinks . Bar is nice but never saw a good crowd of any kind at the bar ...kid's and arcade , a bar , ..then there is restaurant style bench seating that you can sit at and order appetizers , drinks and food . (good burgers) .service is decent and the entire place is clean . can and does get crowded on weekends . In theory it is a great idea , but there is an odd feel with a very diverse mix of little kids , teens and adults ..it is just a little too crazy to really enjoy as a restaurant , even though the food is pretty good , serious bowlers will find it too loud and hectic to enjoy . Parents that bring children to play arcade games may find the atmosphere inappropriate with the adults walking around with drinks and beer ..and the occasional loud mouth teens..being teens . Would be good if the games were separated by a wall from everything else ...YES it is all wide open and gets very loud . no rush to go back.

I went to Crystal Bee's for the radio 104.1 beach house giveaway last night. It's a very nice place, lots of games, bowling, pool tables, TV's everywhere, a couple of bars which is convenient. Needs more parking but you can park in the Pilgrim Furniture lot nextdoor as well. Industrial decor, high ceilings, and the ac was cold even with though it was extremely crowded which is a great thing. Staff were all very nice and helpful. Clean bathrooms. Overall a very nice place to go hang out. The $15 buffet left a little to be desired, if your serving 100's of people make sure to have enough food for the whole night and out out more than 1 cup of cheese sauce with the pretzels. The food that was there was decent though. The active bee gives on the side of the building are awesome, love the bees! Good time overall and the band, Sex and Candy jammed some 90's alternative, played some great songs.

Very clean and welcoming place. Everything felt like new. Arcade game selection was limited but had some fun games. There were two bars and an area for live entertainment. Bowling alleys were well kept and there were huge TVs to watch whatever sporting event you wanted. Food was good as well. Tried the buffalo chicken wontons, they were delicious. Overall was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed my time here. My one gripe would be that the drinks felt a little expensive, but I would definitely go back again.

I was looking forward to trying Crystal Bees for the first time. I was really underwhelmed by what I found. My friends and I were unimpressed by the food, and a few of the drinks were awful and one girl sent hers back. I was excited to check out the arcade games, but this was sad too. Games were packed so tightly together that it was pretty uncomfortable to play. I'm thinking about the mini ski-ball for instance. There wasn't enough room to take a stance and roll the balI well. I was also disappointed to find that a handful of the arcade games were out of order, and the ones that were working were several dollars to play. Maybe it's been too long since I've been to an arcade, but this seemed ridiculous to me, especially considering the terrible prizes. There weren't enough games to occupy the amount of people in the arcade area, and at the end of the night, my player card didn't register the total number of tickets I had collected from the games, including a few jackpots. I would say that the best part about the evening was the bowling. The lanes are nice and pretty trendy. They don't have an outdated bowling alley feel like some places. I'm not in any rush to return. If I did, it would probably just be for bowling.

I thought this place was great. Very nicely done inside with plenty of space.. Fun bowling area and nice bar. We took the kids one rainy afternoon. They were having a great special, bowling for 6 with shoe rental, game cards and a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entrée. All this for $25. We only had wings and fries. The food was good and so was the service. . We decided we need to go back 1 night without the kids!

Came here for about 4 or 5 days to really check the place out. In the time i was here, this bar tender ali (unsure of name) brought her kid to work not once, not twice but 3 times. She sat him off in the middle of nowhere and started working. Super unprofessional. Super sad. But thats not even the biggest mistake this place has made. Catering to children as a bowling ally and arcade, i was ill prepared for the amount of cocaine ive just seen in your restrooms and on the toilet paper dispencers. When i relayed this to 'mom of the year' she did nothing. Although one woman named kelly maybe(unsure of name)working the bar took my complaint serious, went above and beyond and investigated the claim cleaning all the residue immediately and filed a complaint to the GM. Absolutely need to see some change in this establishment from its owners. Especially if you want our community to feel safe bringing children here.

Sat here for 45 minutes before the one waitress took our order (and only after I had to walk over to her to get her attention) then after another hour of waiting door our food the waitress brings us a bill for someone else's food all the and asks "You didn't get your food yet?" We told her no but she still leaves us the bill and two hours later we still never got our food. I finally had to go find her again and canceled the order cuz my now it's 9:30... total suck job. ☹

Great hidden gem. Very spacious venue with lots of lanes and other games to entertain you. We have a big party so we had our own bowling lanes and bar. The wings we had were great and the bartender was very attentive. Everyone there was very helpful and knowledgeable. Be sure to stop by.

Seemed understaffed and not that busy (we had to remove dirty dishes from the bowlers before us so we could set our drinks and food down), front desk associates were not very helpful or friendly, the games were fun- but token card activation process was confusing.

I had my daughter’s birthday party there...the kids and adults had a great time bowling, pizza was tasty and everyone loved the arcade games, however, I was very disappointed by the lack of help/organization for a kids’ party and felt I wasn’t given any direction as to the timing/order of events during the party, like I was all on my own to initiate everything. I emailed the initial party planner the kids’ names and shoe sizes a day prior to the party expecting everything would be ready upon my arrival however I was still asked to provide a guest list and shoe sizes to the party “helper” when I arrived. Twice I had to go to the front desk with questions about when the bowling would be set up or when food was ready because our party “helper” was nowhere to be found and it took forever for the fronk desk to track her down because she was on the opposite side of the building running back and forth between the kitchen area and the party rooms. If you plan on having your child’s party here and are expecting the level of service/attentiveness like what a BounceU or SkyZone type place provides, you will be disappointed. (P.S.- other parents I know felt the same way or experienced the same thing)

Very good patronage from most of the crew there. Food is pretty good also, with a doable selection of games & enough bowling lanes for parties or events. If all of the crew had nice vibes as most of the crew on my visit, then it could easily garner 5 *s. Even though I give 4 *s, it's more like 4.4 *s.

Bowling lanes are for fun only. I've bowled at dozen of places the same way for 40 plus years. Ball automatically curves to the left. The lanes are not maintained (unlevel or dry) like a REAL bowling alley. Cost was over $100 for (2 games) 7 people with shoes (Tuesday night). Everything else was good. It's very clean the drink, games and venue are solid. I'll go back for the trivia and if my young nieces want to play some games. Their food prices are in range of other places.

I was here for a speed dating event. The place is enormous with 2 bars, an area with tables or dance floor, several video games and pool. Kind of a Dave and buster's idea but more versatile. They also have a couple rooms in back for events. The bathroom I used was clean and fresh!

On a night when every bowling alley around we tried was booked until 9-10, we came to give it a shot because they had openings. Place is very nice and clean. Has so much potential. Food was decent as well and has a DJ. Staff..I’m not so sure they are trained for customer service. Bartender took so so long for drinks on a slower evening. Eating and on the phone at times. Front end was also underwhelming and no greeting even coming up to the counter or a smile. Looked like the person didn’t want to be there. Not a warm inviting atmosphere is best description for the staff I encountered I guess. Hopefully it was just a bad night for them and they aren’t usually like that. Either way doubt I’ll go back.

I like the casual atmosphere here. The waitstaff is always very nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they recently went up on their food prices and the food is just so-so. Tonight I paid $12 for a flatbread with arugula and prosciutto that had a bottled balsamic dressing on it. It wasn't bad, but the bread wasn't toasted and there wasn't much arugula or prosciutto on it. I won't order it again at that price!

Unimpressed. Good ideas for something different, poor execution on developing it. Ordered nachos got cheese wiz with sprinkled olives and tomatoes. The food was VERY disappointing as the restaurant inside was supposed to be high end. The Arcade area was OK. They need better games. All in all it's a weak attempt to copy Dave&Buster's.

My daughter went there today and she should of had around 1,070 tickets. They must have had some kind of technical problem because they only gave her two tickets. This is impossible because she played 5 times. The game she played gave her 2 tickets even when she lost. So she would at least have 10 tickets. When she told the staff, they said there was nothing they could do and then they threw the card away. She knew exactly what she wanted to get with all of her tickets. When she got up to the prize counter, she was disappointed to hear that she only got 2 tickets. She said that her day was ruined and that she never wants to go back.

Upscale bowling and gaming. The best arcade gaming in the area in my opinion. I like the layout of this place. Makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids while they are playing different games. Also had birthday parties here for my kids and it was amazing! The staff is great, the food is upscale, and the arcade prizes are slightly better than your average bowling alley.

We went to the bar thinking that it will be faster and we wanted to get appetizers. The bartender, she ignored us when we order and said she was coming back. Good concept but not all that impressed. My biggest complaint was the cost. The kids blew through $40 in the arcade while waiting for dinner. Between the arcade, dinner, drinks and ONE game of bowling I dropped over $200. I can think of better ways to spend that kind of money.

Bowling is super expensive at $50 per hour or $8 per game and all the flash lights made bowling hard to see lanes . They are under staffed there so expect to wait 20 mins for a drink and that's only if you don't have to give a bartending lesson because they don't know how to make any . I didn't okay game They while night was way to expensive and the music sets up in an odd place at the end on the alley so again extremely hard to bowl there .

This was my first time at Crystal Bees. The overall atmosphere is nice but the service is severely lacking. How can it take 20 minutes to get a glass of wine when the bar isn't even busy but this is a scheduled event with 125+ attending. The poor bartender were running crazy and had to go to a different bar multiple times to fill a pint glass. The female bartender with the braids preferred waiting on men rather than me. I was rudely overlooked even though I obviously had cash in hand. I'm not sure how they stay open...

I've been twice. Food is okay, drinks are overpriced. If you want to go bowling then it's probably fine but I went for the "arcade" both times. The selection of games is as limited as they get and most of them are broken anyway. Not a good selection of prizes either. I've started calling the place "Ghetto Dave and Busters" because that's essentially what it is.

This place is tucked into the plaza, and was a little difficult to find the first time going. However, this place is a dime bowling ally. They offer a great section for the kids, and have a upscale bar for the adults. You can tell they really care for the venue, and it offers a more adult vibe compared to other local bowling allies.

Went for food. The food was pretty good, took a while despite being the only ones in the restaurant area. Dad got a coke that tasted like it had beer mixed or the glass hadn't been washed. Employees very nice.

Beautiful establishment, but they still haven't dialed it in as to their chain of command and bartender's and waiting staff. They need a seasoned bartender/manager on duty at all times, that could make sure they have popular alcohols in stock and ordered properly. The bartender wasn't polished and educated on how to make cocktails. The service is lackluster not poor but definitely needs to be worked on to justify the prices that are being charged. Way to many little children for what is attempting to be an upscale higher priced "Dave &Busters"

3 1/2 * Went Tonite on a Saturday; Decent Crowd - and Mike & The Muffin Tops were Playing. Really Enjoyed The Night Overall! The Only Drawback was Service (Unusually Slow). Other Than That & Cold Fries, They Would Have Gotten 5*. Would Return; Best Venue I Have Attended in quite some time. Update: Am Here as we speak; 2 Weeks Later and Not Much has changed. Last Venue was Better By Far, and I Have Been Here Over An Hour Now and NO Wait staff has Addressed My party even being here.. Would Still Come Here; Just Eat Prior and Go Straight To The Bar For Service...

The positive I have to say about this place is the food was good. Especially the hot pretzels with cheese! Also recommend the chips and queso & garlic Parmesan chicken wings. It was clean and the TVs and atmosphere and Decour was beautiful. I try to be a positive person and hate to write this but very disappointed.. However I went there with a party of 8 for my birthday. As soon as you walk in NO ONE greeted us at all. We had to go up to a younger blonde waitress with shortish hair who was the only helpful person in the place who answered some questions and pointed us in the right direction. The brown haired girl at the front desk of the bowling section had a horrible terrible attitude and was extremely rude & impatient. As if we were bothering her by paying $50 for a bowling lane. She even swore in front of my friends and I which is extremely unprofessional when her computer was being slow. She acted like she hated her job and was miserable. I wanted to ask her if she was okay as she was so very unhappy. It was almost concerning. After we get our lane our waitress was even worse.. Some middle aged blonde lady who had negative energy radiating off of her. She had no personality at all. I even tried to make her smile by telling her it was my birthday and all she could say was “ Oh it is.” With an attitude. She came over to check on us once or twice after bringing us The food but she wasn’t offering to get anyone more drinks which everyone needed. She took so long to come back that my friends had to go to the bar to get more shots and drinks they needed. I was extremely turned off by her lack of enthusiasm she seemed like she was just miserable. Not to mention her lack of personality Or kindness. It was kind of a slow night so I understand being upset by that but wouldn't you want to do the best you can with the tables you do get? If she was more friendly and no one had to go to the bar to get more drinks she would have received a better tip. It’s not hard to smile! The shrimp my friend ordered smelled fishy and seafood shouldn’t smell. The ones who ate the shrimp actually felt ill afterwards. Which screems POOR MANAGEMENT! Never mind the $9 draft beer which was literally old! NOT bottom of the keg BUT expired rotten.. We didn’t want to but it had to be sent back for a bottle of bud instead and the long hair kid behind the bar ignored them for so long. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ORDER! The mixers they used the juices in them tasted so old & rotten. One friend left a full drink there because it wasn’t for human consumption it tasted that bitter and spoiled. Also NO LIVE BAND.. that’s a lie We spent well over $300 dollars there and would have spent even more if we didn’t have to leave because the service was horrible. & the waitress asked if we wanted our check when no one was even done with their bottle beer because that was the safest thing to order. Everyone in my party felt uncomfortable by the way the staff acted like they hated it and didn’t want to be there. There’s no reason it should have been that dead on a Saturday night that your juice and beer is rotting and your staff is struggling and in a horrible mood making everyone extremely uncomfortable. Not to mention everything is OVERPRICED! 8 shots for $70- and it’s not even top shelf

Long story short. My event was booked long in advance (reunion), and the management, after a few months of this date booked and solidified, decided to change the direction of the business and told us our event wouldn't work in the VIP section we had planned for. As a business owner myself, I work with people internationally at high volume; and I work with all sorts of vendors as my business spans over many industries. Given my experience with this volume and in my opinion, once you give your word you stick to it, and that is what I expect from other businesses as well. Regardless of the change in the business, the event was set and therefore should of stayed that way as an exception to management's changes to honor what was promised. It showed bad integrity from the managements doing.
