This is a great restaurant. The dining room is only open in the evening. They have steaks and prime rib and all there food is excellent. They have great potato skins. There is also a bar there which is open for lunch. You should give this place a try

New year's Eve dinner--prime rib and lobster tail. One in our party got undercooked lobster and sent it back--quickly replenished with a perfectly cooked tail. Great service and good food. Save the date for next year.

First.time going there and it wasnt bad except for a few things. One of the hostess was really friendly and the other one could be a little more friendly instead of saying how.its goin to a customer. Visiting the area. Ordered the endless fish (cod). The fish was good. The potato skins were great. The onion rings were great. The hushpuppies aren't good at all and really need improvement. This place could add some additional sides (like mashed potatoes and brown gravy, and Mac n cheese). It would also be nice if they had a better selection of diet sodas (such as Diet Mt Dew or Diet Dr Pepper). The service was outstanding. Other than needing some minor tweaks, the experience here was a good one.

I have eaten here in the past and it has always been literally gourmet food and five star service. Last night I Was no exception! Once again well done! My recommendation to anyone in the area is to give them a try. It’s hands down the best restaurant in 100 miles!

Food was really great, best fried Walleye I've eaten. My wife's fillet mignon was juicy and tender, just as she ordered it. The Italian cream cake was made in house. Not real sweet and sugary, which is how I like it.

The 178 is the place to go for a relaxing, quiet and very good dinner. I happened to be in there one Tuesday night only to find out they have a Fried Chicken Special on Tuesday nights, oh my goodness it was great!

We arrived late on a Sunday evening. Waited 20 minutes or more for our server. Observed servers arguing over who would have to wait on other arriving customers so we figured they had done the same with us. Our server catered to the table full of elderly drunks at the table next to us and ignored us for the most part with us catching her serving them to ask for drink refills while we waited an additional forty-five minutes for our food. Ate our food in fifteen minutes and left a better tip than the elderly drunks who were very loud and left a five dollar tip for our waitress. I left eight and that was too much, but, I didn't want to wait for her to take our money and come back with change. Probably would have been another 20 to 30 minutes. I left cash. Food was pretty good however so this is why I gave it an average rating rather than a poor. It wasn't worth the wait however.

Come out to Bull Shoals and try this little gem. Wife and I had calamari as a starter and it was great. Really good breading and fresh. Then we had shrimp and sirloins for our entrees and all was delicious. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We'll be back for sure.

We had dinner there on Mother's Day. The food was delicious, and cooked just the way we wanted it. We thought maybe they were trying a little too hard to cut expenses. No bread service unless requested, and portions were small.

The 178 Club has a 10 lane real wood bowling alley, a sports bar, a bar-b-que kiosk, and a full service restaurant that serves everything from fried chicken, fresh water fish, to burgers and fries. It is a little pricy but well worth it.

Me and the wife just moved to Bull Shoals the end of May. Although it is a great place to live and we have found a great new life in living up here from living in Jonesboro. We arrived around 6 pm to eat. Restaurant was empty except for an older couple at the bar. Homey atmosphere but was a little confused on the front section having table cloths and the back being bare table? No big deal just different... my wife ordered the chicken tenders which in both our opinion were very bland (I stole a piece for an honest review). I had the cheddar burger cooked medium with steamed broccoli as my side instead of fries . The burger was decent, I've had better and I've had worse, also was a little undercooked for medium but all in all decent. Broccoli was way over cooked but is an easy vegetable to over cook. The food was decent all in all and we will definitely try again sometime...however the sweet tea as mentioned in several reviews is TERRIBLE. Angela was our server and did a decent job of taking care of us especially when it came to our 7 year old and a styrofoam cup instead of a regular cup. 2 star for the tea. Will be back again.

Inflated prices on average food in a building with the 80's wood panels prominently displayed throughout. If they serve your order wrong and you ask for a menu to show them crab cakes are not served dry, the mgr asks you to leave.

I moved to the Rea Valley just 9 months ago and heard about this place around town so I stopped in to grab a few cold beers with my moving crew to thank them for all of their help,I was surprised how good the bbq was and I've stopped at every local bbq place around , everybody in my crew loved it ! the smoked Turkey is incredible and my wife says it's the best she's ever had ! I love the burgers ,huge ,Delicious & fresh and you can bet I'll be back for more. The service here comes with a kind and genuine smile , the prices are more than fair.

After my 5th visit I am through! Overpriced, poorly prepared entrees', lack of professionalism in the staff, poor attitude and there is no trained 'chef' or cook. Cannot tell the difference between rare and medium in a simple burger! Management needs 'people training' and not argue with customers! 3/14/2019//reply to eatery answer/ WRONG the burger went back in two plates/if 1/2 of it was eaten I am surprised. I just ordered the shrimp scampi. I got 6 shrimp in a watery sauce with some soggy crust and two baggies of bread and butter and some luke warm soup. I was not a fan of this place to begin with and I will never be ordering from here again.

OK, hard to rate three businesses rolled into one. 178 restaurant is great, atmosphere, service, menu. 178 bar and bowling alley , good enough. Small town, if you like people watching, yeah. 178 bar b que, meh. In the entire area, KT'S in Gassville is the best, although 178 BBQ beans had my nose running. As a left coastie born and bred, Arkansas BBQ is not all that. Thicker, hotter sauce, ya bunch a crackers, thanx. ..

We live locally and have given them multiple chances, each time thinking “maybe it’s an off night for them”. In reality ever dining experience has been subpar. The service is lacking and the food was terribly cooked. We recently had 2 bugs crawl out of a salad and the server acted like it was normal and not an issue. We are a younger couple and I normally tip WAY more than expected but in this case it’s a different story. We watched the server attend to multiple tables with more aged customers as we were left sitting and not paid any attention to. Save your money and go to McDonald’s or any other restaurant than 178 club.

The food was great, service was top notch, quiet atmosphere and a varied menu with everything from sandwiches to seafood platters. Upscale for this rural area, but not intimidating. They have a brunch on Sunday. I believe that there is also a BBQ joint that's very casual, in a section of the back of the building. I have not been to that, so cannot comment on it, but if the food is as good as it is in the restaurant proper, it should be good! There is a bar with dining besides the larger dining room. It is in an older building and has been serving many, many years, so the bathrooms are smaller than people are used to now days. It's always been an enjoyable experience each time I've been there!

Great Father's Day dinner I took my dad to 178 for a birthday/father's day dinner. We made reservations for 4 pm becuase we were not sure if it would be crowded for the holiday. There was only one other group of dinners in there and they left shortly after we arrived so the place was empty. Our server, Pam (I believe) was super nice and attentive. We chatted and got our food in reasonable time. My dad ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. I had the turkey club and it was delicious as well. We will defiantly be coming back for special occasions!

For quality and luxury dining, I highly recommend the 178 Club. Me and my dad have gone there many times and have enjoyed very much .They have absolutely wonderful food ranging from burgers to fresh caught trout. The staff is great. Since the 178 Club is family owned and operated, it really can't be bad. If you catch a fish and you want to have it served to you, bring it to the 178 Club because they will cook it just how you like it. Great food, great service, what more could you ask for?

We ordered two orders of eggs Benedict with hash browns, the poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs the ham tasted like old burnt grease and if you could call it Hollandaise sauce was almost nonexistent and last but not least the hash browns were not eatable. We both though we were robed of $30!
