My son was so excited to try out bowling for the first time. The management and staff behind the counter were very unpleasant to speak with and unreasonable to work with. There were open lanes but due to league play they failed to serve us as customers. I recognize that league play is important for business today but we as a growing family represent business for tomorrow and will no longer support this establishment.

The bowling ally itself is nice and the price is great on Tuesdays but we ran into a few issues and didn't have to great of an experience. First we waited till 9 for the better price but the guy didn't give it to us because they decided to not do it till 930 even though online said 9. So we waited. We purchased 2 games for each of us and they stopped it in the middle of our second game and said we had to pay more, then they said we had to show them receipts that they never gave us, so I recommend getting a receipt every time. It was mostly a hassle and we just wanted to pay and play. Its really too bad because I don't want to go back die to how a lot of the fun was taken away from our experience, I'd rather try a different ally then go back here. I hope the best for this allies success, I recommend better policies and sticking with the website or updating the website so that prices aren't confusing. For customers I recommend checking the website and what's getting rung up, as well as asking for all receipts.

Had a great time on a double date here. So-so food from the fast food place inside, but I reccomend bringing your own or eat beforehand. Video games for the kids if they get bored.

On a night out (daddy/daughter day) with my 7 y.o. daughter, I paid for 2 games for us both. The first game, the computers were not keeping score correctly (it was recording every roll as a strike). It was reset by the staff 2x during that game and the issue was finally resolved in the 10th frame. Therefore we only bowled about 5 frames of the first game. The second game went as expected with correct scoring. We approached the manager about the first game and he made no attempt to correct the situation and blamed it on the computers and "there is nothing I can do". My daughter was devastated, even to the point that she expressed her frustration to the manager. His response was stone cold and would not offer anything to make it right. So I paid for 2 games and only bowled 1.5 games. A very disappointing experience for us both. The only reason I gave them 1 star is the other two staff members were very polite. I will not be returning to Center Bowl.

Love the glow in the dark lights. There's an alcoholic and non drinking side Wasn't sure if there's a place to get something to eat as well. As the only 2 places looked as though they only served alcohol from being on the drinking side past the barriers. Happened to be next to very enthusiastic people who yelled in cheer each time one of their 8 people made a strike which was every other time so ended up getting a major headache from them. Other than that, a great place for kids, a fence thing goes up for kids so the bowling ball won't end up in the gutter. Unlimited amount of rounds, just pay for the hours. They provide white socks to wear with the shoes to help further prevent athletes foot and foot fungus.

Bowling is great, bowling while drinking is better. This establishment is probably our best alley in Anchorage, but that really isn't saying much. The lanes regularly have technical issues and may misinterpret how many pins were knocked down during a roll. The food is pretty good for it being standard American fare, and the fries complement a pitcher of your favorite cheap beer. That said, it is still bowling so you'll probably have a really good time.

If I could rate this lower than one star I would. The service is teribble, I heard workers cussing and arguing with each other, and it seems as if any thing that seems to be happening is not communicated between them. I would not recommend to anyone! Save your money and go somewhere else!

Went on a Sunday night with Groupon deal. Got a lane right away, shoes were included and they were the first bowling alley ever to give me socks with shoe rental. I put them on over my own socks for extra protection. Alley is kept relatively clean. 4 stars because the Groupon is time-based, one hour from time of register closing the transaction. The lane broke down several times, decreasing our bowling time. They were pretty quick to reset each time, about 3-4 minutes, but still a little annoying to lose the time

I dont have anything against the facility but I called a few weeks before and then a couple days before and there was no large event going on the day we wanted. When I showed to host kids for a birthday party the place was full. If there was an opportunity to book 3 lanes I would have done it but I didnt know and no one over the phone offered after calling a few times. Just disappointing is all.

Went there on New Year's Eve to bowl with my girlfriend and my buddy to celebrate going into the new year, the front desk didn't even notice us standing at the front counter for about 5 minutes because they were too busy talking to their friends, then when one overweight chunky guy that needed to wash his hair finally came to help us he was completely rude and baisically acted like he didn't want to be there, I was charged 31 dollars for two people, for just 1 hour of bowling and shoe rentals. we finally got into bowling and saw there was a drink menu sitting on the table, not a single bar worker came to the lanes to ask if we wanted drinks, then we finally gave up and went to the bar tender to get drinks and he didn't know how to make any of the drinks on the damn menu. Only go here as a last resort, expect high prices and terrible customer service

Center Bowl is a blast from the past, with Neon bowling, colored pin bowling, league night, open bowling, bumper lanes, a snacks & cafe bar, mini arcade... It's got everything, even it's own pro shop for the serious bowlers. There's flyers that say private lessons are even available... Probably worth it for the person looking to improve their game, this is one of three serious bowling alleys in the city. The place is clean and friendly, shoes are clean, and you're given a brand new pair of socks that you keep upon leaving. Bowling balls are available in all sizes and weights, and the booth & computer are comfortable and easy to set up your game. I've no issues with center bowl in all the times I've been there.... It's always comfortable and always welcoming... I may not be the best bowler, but I never let that keep me from having a good time. Pro tip - check the back of your Carr's Safeway receipts for a buy 2 games get 2 games free coupon for here! You're welcome

I went there with my youth kids. The lane got stuck literally 10+ times and I had to go tell the store guys to fix it. They only gave us 15 minutes for the time we have to stay there waiting for unstuck. Never going there.

Location itself is dirty but the worst part is the pricing. We bowled one game and for 3 adults and 2 kids (4,2), it was $71. Just for the one game and shoe rentals. Absurd and no way I'll come back.

Card didn't work with their system, game froze halfway through - they said they would reset it, we waited and nothing happened. Went back up and they said they could give us a free game, wouldn't give us a refund and they wouldn't let us come back at another time to play this free game. Since we had to leave at the end of the game anyways we said enough is enough and left.

Dollar bowling Sunday nights is a killer deal, with a fun crew of regulars happy to offer useful tips (mad shout out to Monty especially). Better than expected chicken wings, have always had good service at the bar, and though I've occasionally gotten a touchy ball-return machine, tend to have a very solid bowling experience. My preferred lanes in Anchorage. Beer list is better at Taku Lanes in Juneau though :D

Their $1 games don't start until 10pm on Sundays. They just didn't get the chance to remove their add online. Drinks were great. Food is typical fast food quality. No balls below 10 lbs. Socks come with shoe rental just in case yours smell...jk...just in case you're not wearing socks. Shoes were in good condition. Place looks clean. $4.75 for shoe rental and $5.25 per game per person.
