We were recommended to this place by my dad, a retired warrant officer who has been going here for the past 15 years. I was super nervous because we were going to get my 3 year old son's long hair cut short and this was his first real hair cut. I really didn't want a buzz cut and I was worried that they would only cater to military guys with fades and high-n-tight's. This was not the case at all. First off, the guys are super friendly and personable, even to obvious out of towners like my husband and I. They took the time to listen to us and gave us exactly what we wanted. They were also incredibly good with my son and he looked so handsome when they got through. He went from my little baby to a handsome young boy right before my eyes! He also left with soaring confidence as he left with his big boy cut. I'm not sure if they do appointments, since we just walked in. It didn't seem too busy and we didn't wait longer than 10 minutes. They have a lot of really cool military memorabilia on the walls in the waiting area, and my kids loved the animals shown on National Geographic on the TV. One last thing. We also brought my 9 month old baby, who was too young (hair still too short) for a hair cut. However, they do have toys for baby's to play with and look at, so that was great distraction while the eldest was getting his hair cut. Thank you so much Stroh's! We will be back anytime I visit my dad.

Terrible haircuts. I asked for a normal comb-over style for my son. He has gouges where his hair is missing or shorter on the sides and back where the hair is supposed to be faded. The top is several different lengths. The top of my hair (military haircut) is also several different lengths and the sides are not evenly faded. The mirror from which I could see my hair was too far away to judge at the time. They had no mirror I could hold to see it up close or see the back. My son and I got a hair chop rather than the haircut we paid for. We are now at another shop hoping they can fix the mess. I didn’t want to go back to have the barber at Stroh’s fix it. After all, if you jack it up that bad the first time, you can’t fix it, as you don’t know what a haircut is supposed to be.

Really like this place. Tried it as a walk in deal one day. The guy had nice quick movements. We were in and out in record time for the kind of haircut my boyfriend likes. Would recommend for future use.
