My boyfriend went there today for a haircut for only the second time ever. It’s been over a year since he has been there. He made an appointment early this morning for 11:20. When he got there nobody greeted him. After 10 minutes of waiting, someone finally asked if he signed in. When he said no, nobody showed him how or what to do and he was not a walk-in customer. 10 more minutes pass and finally he was taken back. He wanted to get something new that he has never done before and showed the woman some pictures. Instead of explaining and getting an idea of what he wanted, she said “well those are different haircuts so you will have to pick one.” Of course he knew they all varied, he just wanted to give her a general idea. She started cutting his hair and kept mentioning how difficult his hair was to cut. After she was done cutting he asked if there was product to put in his hair, she said very rudely “well ya, but don’t you want me to shampoo it first” like he was supposed to know that. He asked during his haircut if she would be able to trim and line up his beard, she said “I don’t think I’ll have time but I guess I can.” Which was kind of surprising as he had and APPOINTMENT. She ended up doing but not even close to straight, he had to come home and fix it himself. He was so excited to get his haircut in a new style and he enjoyed his past experience at this barbershop, but after today he will never go back due to the rude service he received. As a paying client, the expectation is to be treated with respect.

I saw Stacey yesterday at the Darboy location. She's friendly and easy going. She's very good at getting my cut just the way I like it. She is engaging and asks good questions, open ended and closing questions, yes/no, to be sure that I'm going to be satisfied with how and what she does to my hair. Details are important in everything and she took care of those hairs on my neck and ears, which is a big deal for me, no hair cut is complete without that, I believe. Just to add, all of the ladies at this location are always accommodating, friendly, and engaging when you walk in the door. This is a great way to welcome guests into the environment.

Go to the barbershop located by kohl’s or the Men’s Hair house, this place right here is not the place to be.

How/NOT/to/do/it

I went in to get patched up before starting a new job. Nobody else was taking walk-ins so I gave this place a shot. I'm glad it worked out that way because this is far and away the best haircut I've experienced in a very long time. My experience was easily worth more than what I paid, much better than one of the more popular places in town. Unlike them I was able to get my hair and beard trimmed without having to make a separate appointment for each. Thank you so much!

Don’t let the imposter Babershop fool you. They moved in right across from the real Barbershop and try to trick you into thinking you are calling the other business. Even use the same greeting when answering the phone- very irritating. I might have given them a try if it hadn’t been for the games, but I’ll stick with the real Barbershop (between Runaway Shoes and Sav-Half).

Be very careful!! Most of the reviews written for this place were actually intended for the place down the road a few blocks called The Barbershop A Hair Salon for Men. None of the stylists namd in the reviews recently actually work at this place, they work at the place down the road. Not saying its a bad place just that the reviews are not correct. Proceed at your own risk.

My adult son (with special needs) and I had to make a quick switch, because the place we usually go was closed unexpectedly. We came here on a Sunday as a walk in. They have peanuts for while you wait, but we didn't need to wait long. We were in and out very quickly. Experience was awesome, prices were beyond reasonable and we left lookin pretty darn sharp. 5/5, and this is going to be our regular place going forward. Awesome!
