I have been coming to Be U Salon and Varber Shop exclusively for years now. Keisha does an amazing job and so does phil. The location is confortable and they make an incredible effort to make you feel welcome. 10/10. The haircut is only 10 dollars too. If i was charged 20 I would still go here.

I've been coming here for the past 4 years and even though I no longer live on the East Side, I still drive across town to get my haircut here. Phil and Keisha are so personable and I still wonder how they remember everyone who keeps coming back. I've never had anyone else cut my hair with such attentiveness and precision like these two can. They run a great family business and I'm shocked the price for a men's cut hasn't risen above $10 since I first discovered them!

This is such an amazing barbershop. They’re good people. They charge $10 for a haircut which is amazing. Sometimes, I don’t get a full haircut, just a fade on the side and nothing off the top, and they don’t charge me the full $10. This will be my place for haircuts for a long time!

Very good place to go. Extremely cheap price for a hair cut, $12. Phil knows what he's doing and can take care of you no matter what style you want. I recommend calling or texting so you don't have to wait around for the people that called or texted their spots to get their hair cut.

I've been walking passed this barber shop for a long time while I was a student at UW-Milwaukee. I finally decided to go in and if you do a walk-in, just fill out your name on a time slot at the clipboard near their register. The man is very nice. He talks to you in a respectful manner and also offered me a touch up for free if I come back if a part of my hair didn't work out as I thought. There is also a woman who I saw working there as well but she wasn't there when I came into my appointment. Would definitely go again and the price is very affordable. They offer other hair services as well.

Both Phil and Kesha are real friendly and do a great job every time I came in for a simple men's hair cut. Only $10. They recently re-did the interior of the place, so it looks new and fresh. I went there every month when I lived in Milwaukee for a year. Also, they're across the street from Otto's liquor store, so you can knock two trips out in one!

Phil is the man when it comes to old school men's cuts. I bounced around for years unhappy with other places till I found him. I know a lot of UWM kids come here for the cheap simple cuts, but I work a 1940s style that is not easy to do. Aggressive taper, from a #1 to about 6" at the top. Phil has always nailed it, and had some great advice for improving it. Phil knows his stuff from 1920s cuts to Rockabilly to modern (and obviously the simple stuff). He can really work a proper fade and a taper. And he always takes the time to get it right. He and Keisha are super nice, warm, friendly people. The place is a little quirky (They recently adopted their niece so she is sometimes there in her crib), but I love that about it. Put simply, they are good people. And I easily get a $25 cut for $10. Go there. You will not regret it.

As a student at UWM, I was looking for a place close by for a haircut. The reviews here seemed positive, so I went. I was not disappointed. Phil cut my hair and made sure it looked good throughout my visit. He also asked me how I was going to style my hair and took that into account. I will definitely be going there again. For $10, this place is the place to go.

I just moved to Milwaukee and was nervous about finding someone to cut my hair. I had always had a person I regularly went to back home and was not looking forward to searching for someone else. After looking up some places on Google, I saw that Be U had very good reviews and was close to my place. I decided to try them out and was very happy with the result. Phil does an amazing job! He takes his time and listens to what you want. He also gave me some tips to improve my hair. A great haircut for $10!

This is a great location for college students on a budget who may just need a trim/clean up. Location is very close to campus. The price has changed from $10 for women's cut to $12 but I think this is a fair and standard price. Way cheaper than the expensive salons around the East side. The couple who own the shop are always friendly and the little ones are never a bother when they are at the shop.

Went in for a haircut for the first time based on the excellent reviews and the price. I wanted someplace else to go other than SuperCuts. Phil was awesome and nice. Took his time and really cares about making you look good. Nothing was rushed. It is kind of a family ran business, so there are some aspects that aren't so professional (like kids running around.) However, none of that will matter once you look in the mirror. I will be going back and am glad to give a local eastside shop my business.

The best in Milwaukee when it comes to quality and price. There are only two barbers, Phil and Keisha (sorry if I spelled your name wrong), who are both awesome. You don't have to pray for a good stylist like at a chain shop. You can walk-in knowing you will be taken care of. You can tell they care about your hair. They take their time, and are very friendly. The Price has been $10 for the last 4 years I've been going there, which is absurdly cheap for the ability to have your barber be your friend. Don't hesitate, just go!

Only went there once. It’s family-owned; the husband cut my hair, the wife cut my wife’s. We both were satisfied with both the cut and the promptness. Also the cheapest place I’ve seen ($10 for regular cut). But you should call ahead to schedule.

I called last minute and they were able to fit me in. The lady who cut my hair did a great job. She was able understand the hairstyle from a single picture. When she was cutting you could feel she knew what she was doing with the comb, razor and scissors. The lines could be a bit more even/ symmetrical on both sides. As well, I would have like her to do a double check around the edges. But, for a spare of the moment cut lasting around 30 mins max and only costing ten freaking dollars. I think this place is awesome. Also she and family were really nice and professional.
