Fantastic! I got my hair cut today and they stylist did a great job! She completely blew out my hair - didn't stop because my hair is thick and her arms got tired which always results in frizzy hair. Their shampoo chairs are the most comfortable! I don't get my hair cut much more than twice a year, but I will definitely be going back - maybe even just for a wash and style...

I struggled to find a decent barber in Morgantown for 2 years until my one friend recommended I go to David. I am from 4 hours outside of Morgantown and I will still wait until I am coming back just to get my hair cut. He pays attention to detail and makes sure your hair is exactly how you want it before you leave. Going to the barbers shop is more like visiting an old friend than getting a haircut if you go to David at Ladies and Gents.

I struggled to find a good barber in Morgantown until I found this shop. After my first time I never went anywhere else. David was my barber and always answered me right away when I wanted to make an appointment. I could really tell he cared about his customers and the work he did and I’m sure going to miss going in after I graduate. I’ll be sure to pay a visit when I visit Morgantown in the future! This is the worst shop in Morgantown, no respect, the workers were so disrespectful! For one, what barber shop takes appointments on a Tuesday morning with no customers, then on top of that, one barber had the nerve to say two of us don't cut ethnic hair, I was shocked, very rude!!!

Love my walk-in haircut! Thanks Nikki! This wasn't my normal salon before now. It was my birthday and I wanted pampering and a good cut. I couldn't even get a call back from my normal salon after leaving a message asking if there was an opening today. I have difficult wavy thick hair. Nikki listened and interpreted what I wanted very well. I will miss the head and face massages during the shampooing at my old salon though!

I have been going to David at Ladies & Gents (formerly Gents & Co.) for over two years. Not only is he an excellent barber and artist, but truly a great friend. My first couple of cuts were as a walk in with whoever was available to until David gave me a cut. Afterwords he gave me his personal number so that’s I could make appointments with him specifically for the next time I needed a cut. This may seem standard, but this simple gesture goes a long way and I really appreciated the convenience of knowing that I could get in the chair when the time was right for me. I have since moved from Morgantown but anytime that’s I return to visit I will always go to David.

Edit: I was asked by the salon to edit my review. I ended up going back the next day at opening to figure out what could be done. I was asked to pay for the additional services to bring my hair to a color I could live with, and to also edit this review. Well, I did one of those things! Original review below: I came in to get my red hair corrected to a blonde color. My stylist, Tara, was very polite and explained about what would be possible today. I wanted to do this in as healthy of a way as possible and recognize that gives some constraints on what can be done. I ended up leaving the salon fairly unhappy with how my now brown (despite her insisting this is a "dark blonde") hair looks... I decided to take a walk up the street and back and get opinions from a couple of friends on how it looked. I thought a little separation and seeing it in natural light would change my opinion. The consensus from my friends (and the strangers I passed by!!!) was that it looked flat, like brown box dye, and I needed to go back and see what could be done. Luck would have that side of the salon closed before I could get back. Thankfully, the gentleman's side and their workers were incredibly helpful and got me in touch with Tara so I could come back and try to get some help. I came in, told her I was unhappy with this and explained that this just wasn't what I asked for or what I wanted. She immediately went on the defensive saying "well, I can't give you a refund or anything" which wasn't even something on my mind at the time- my priority was even paying more to make sure that my hair looked the way that I want it to look. I work in a customer facing job and want to feel my best every day... so that threw me off to begin with. Through the conversation, it was abundantly clear that Tara cared more about leaving the salon and getting home (at 5:20 or so) than she cared about me leaving with hair that I'm happy with. The conversation ended up with me just walking out because I was so upset. She reiterated that there was nothing she could do and that she was "sorry I felt that way" when I had expressed I was unhappy. I'm not sure what I can say to wrap up this review other than that I feel that I've wasted three hours, $115 + $20 tip, I have hair I strongly dislike, and I have never been more dissatisfied with a visit to a salon. I'm not sure if this is an issue with inexperience, if Tara just has particularly poor customer service skills, or if this is just really the quality of work that comes from this salon. I'd appreciate a member of management reaching out ASAP to see if there is anything that can be done about this before I issue a chargeback on my card so I can at least recoup 1/4 things I'm unhappy with after leaving Ladies & Gents Salon and Barbershop.
