This place is a joke. Don’t bother booking an appointment, made an appointment for 4pm, showed up at 3:30. They never acknowledge you walk in, with one guy working. Waited 2 hours while he cut two people’s hair that was there before me. At 5:30 a guy walked in and he told him got you next because he was their earlier. I finally walked out.

Our whole experience was bad, and I didn't even get my hair cut. My boyfriend and I went in, and we didn't know if they were open or not because it took several minutes before anyone even showed up to speak to us. The black guy with the dreads cut his hair. I don't know his name because he never gave it. He just sat my boyfriend down in a chair, rummaged around in his stuff for a few minutes, and then murmured something before leaving. If my boyfriend didn't have the little cape thing on, I wouldn't think to stay. He came back, rummaged around some more, then finally spoke to my boyfriend, asking what he wanted. It was a simple request: #3 on the sides, 1" on the top. But apparently this was super confusing, as what my boyfriend got was much, much less than 3 on the sides, and practically a Mohawk on top. I, myself, had to finish the haircut at home. There was easily 4" in the front, and the back has less than an inch. Awful service, and "barber" who clearly doesn't know what he's doing. I'm just glad we only had to pay $10 for the haircut. Never going back.

Wouldn't go anywhere else for a cut. It's hard for me to find a new barber I trust but I haven't gone anywhere else since I first went here.

I took my son here on a whim mainly bc it was the only barber shop open in the later evening...awesome, barber shops in Savannah are open late night, which is what were used to... Umm they fixed my 2yo son's hair more than I can ever explain on here. Def recommend, child friendly. 3-5-19 Update: A guy named Oscar cut my hair today. He took the time to get to know what I wanted and gave me just that - a great haircut. He even gave me some free shaving product samples which I thought was a nice touch. Keep up the good work Oscar! Initial Review: Great group of barbers. I went in right before they closed and they squeezed me and my son in. Place is fully staffed to meet the need of all the customers. Great haircuts!

For those complaining about the wait time, you have to understand, you're going to the best barbershop in the area and so are a vast majority of the people who live in this town. Long wait but worth it. Balil is a great dude that gives even better cuts. You go to a barbershop for the experience and that's what you get here. It's easy to see the love he puts into his work and the community, his cuts could be considered art if you want to take it that far. A barbershop is supposed to be a neighborhood hangout where you can get a fresh haircut and shoot some bull. Everyone here is closely knit and it has great vibes. I got a haircut in San Francisco last December and have been looking for someone of the same caliber to be able to match that quality but I had no luck recently until I ran into Balil. Overall great shop, and good people. Would definitely recommend Balil to a friend in need of a good haircut.

They have two little shops side-by-side, looks like one specializes in black men's cuts and the other more traditional cuts (not 100% sure of that though).

Worth the 20 min drive to Morgantown my son's hair turned out great. A few weeks before the start of school his regular barber moved out of state. Finding a good barber that's also good with small children seemed unfeasible. I read the reviews and decided to give this place a try. The shop had a very football on Sunday vibe which my 4 year old enjoyed. We had an appointment with Will who was excellent with my very active 4 year old. Will was also very patient with me as i described what i wanted his hair to look like but couldn't tell you a clipper size to save my life. I went for a cut here and someone by the name of Omar or Oscar screwed up my edge up and hair line, left one side of my hair longer than the other, when you look straight at me you can tell one side is pushed back more than the other and did a horrible blend at the end of the cut. Tried to wet my hair and brush it to the side so I wouldn’t notice. He spent a good 90 mins trying to fix the mistake he messed up from the start. I’m very disappointed with my haircut and now have to wait to get it fixed somewhere else.

This place may seem professional but I promise it is not. Im never going here again. I literally said a #3 on the sides and about an inch off the top. I don't know what this man was thinking using a razor to cut my curly long thick hair, I know he can't even use the you're hairs' too thick excuse because literally back home I've had ACTUAL GOOD BARBERS cut my hair and use scissors. Sitting in this chair the whole time I just want my haircut to be over. I never have ever experienced something like this and never will again. My hair is beyond uneven and I can't stomach this feeling right now. Personally if all you need is a fade or buzz cut go here but I don't know how it will end up. Literally would not recommend this place to anyone. I wouldn't want anyone experiencing what I did, it was truly a sickening feeling. So please beware!!!

Had been going there for a year or so now, trying different people. Will gave me the worst haircut I have ever received. I had a perfectly defined hard part where my long hard started on top and short hair was on the side. He asked if I wanted the hard part and I said yes. He proceeded to cut the hard part and inch down from the original location on the side of my head... So now I have a side Mohawk essentially. I will not go back because of that. Absolutely horrible to make such a simple mistake.

Soooo, I definitely called and was advised to text in my appointment and I even agreed to pay their $10 appt fee.... I text to schedule our appointment and we live a hour and a half away from Morgantown so we couldn't just do a walk in. It was our first time there and when we got there they were swamped with customers and no one could seem to find my appointment and didn't even try to help me. I was there to get my two little boys hair cut and so they were pretty bummed seeing as though it's hard to find barbers who cut ethnic hair where we live in Randolph Cty. If they are going to charge a $10 appt fee there should actually be quality appt handling/ control. Seems like pretty nice guys, but, they may be over their heads with controlling the flow of appointment and available barbers and staff. My opinion.

I've been going here for years, but the last 6+ cuts they messed my hair up bad. I always say to leave my hairline alone, and keep my left and ride side symmetrical. They buzzed off an INCH of my hair line above my eyebrows and I look like I'm balding now. My left fade was easily 3 inches lower than my right, I asked him to make it the same as the other side, and we did this twice. He thought it was trendy to keep one side lower, and it does look nice, but after like two days it looks like trash which is why I asked him to keep changing it. I have a line of hair from my messed up hairline to the back of my head. Instead of doing what looks good at that moment, just listen to the customer because I know what'll look good when it grows in.
