This Barber Shop belongs to the category of Barber shop.
Perfect. I've learned to not be picky by overpaying at salon's and getting only a shadow of what I want. I moved here recently and I told Myles what I was looking for today and it was 100% exactly what I had in mind. They could charge much more for this. It's the first time I've been happy with a cut since I've been an adult and it's much cheaper. I love the quiet masculine vibe of the place without being over the top like a lot of modern barbershops. This place is a classic and you can see why as soon as you visit. 5/5 for the shop and 6/5 for Myles. I'll definitely be back.
The best barbershop I’ve ever been to. I’ve been coming here for about half a year and never I’ve been disappointed with the service. It’s kind of hard to make the first appointment, you have to do it like a month in advance but it’s well worth it. Great service, great atmosphere and great professionals. David(Owner) is the best
Great Shop, fair price, good bunch of guys. Make an appointment!!!
Great service!
I have been going to Squire Barbershop for 4 months now. I am so glad I found this place. Great service at a great price. I’d highly recommend Erik. He cut my hair since day 1 and he is still the guy to go to for me. The shop is really clean and even though they don’t have a parking lot, there is plenty of street parkings around the building. Also, as other reviewers said, they get booked up quite quickly so make sure to schedule a few weeks in advance.
They seem busy and unable to handle it appropriately. I called to see if they had any openings and the gentleman on the other end said they were booked until Wednesday, bid me good day and hung up before I could ask to schedule for later in the week. Why so curt, Squire?
I love this place! I've been coming here for at least a couple of years now and I'm so happy to have discovered it! First thing I love: they take appointments! It's shocking how many places don't take appointments unless you're paying like $60+ for a men's haircut. Secondly though, it's just always a great experience. I've never had a bad haircut there, just a couple of below average ones. My usual guy has been Erick and he always does a perfect job, but I've also had haircuts from David (owner) and I've recently started going more to Andrew (he's pretty new) and they've been great as well. My fiance approves of the cuts I get here, as well. Whoever you get, you're sure to be pleased. I love that it's not a frilly over-the-top place - the decor is very modern barbershop-y and the guys are no-nonsense. They added a TV with sports, too (muted so as to not be a nuisance) and some nice couches - they new space is quite impressive. And their price can't be beat for the quality of cut! Whenever I go anywhere but Squire (typically when I'm out of town), I'm always disappointed compared to Squire. I used to go to Great Clips and Scissors Palace in Lower QA, but they don't hold a candle to Squire. Especially with the reliability of scheduling an appointment with Squire and being able to come in at that time with little-to-no-wait for a haircut.
Very disappointing. Despite advertising walk-ins available, they turned me away, claiming they were "Too busy." Just me and one other guy waiting! Didn't even offer a recommendation on an alternate shop. Being in the travel industry, I will be sure to recommend a different barber shop to the concierges I work with. (Might have been for the best. The quality of the cuts looked poor.)
Always the best service from this place. Each barber is amazing at what they do, and you'll never be disappointed.
I always have a great experience there and always walk away with exactly what I was looking for.
Its overrated. It is priced lower than other barbershops downtown, but offers less for that price. The quality of the haircut was not much better than a sports clips.
Wish this place was in Philly. Great vibe and they take their time and get the cut right. Had a trim and a shave from Mark who was excellent and focused without being over chatty. Definitely would be my regular place if I lived in the city
Loved my haircut. Would go monthly if my close friend wasn't a hairdresser who cuts my hair in the comfort of my home. But when Nikki is out of town or I need a last minute trim, this is definitely where I'll be going.
The place is good with good barbers but for some reason I didn't feel welcoming enough
My favorite barbershop in Seattle.
Just absolutely awesome people working and ambiance. And yes the haircut was on point too.
This place is hands down, the best barber shop I've ever been to. I've been to several others in my hometown, but these guys know what they are doing. I had Dan, and he was incredible. I showed him a picture of one of their Instagram posts, and he was able to replicate it with ease. Great attention to detail, and very personable. Showed me the right way to style my hair, and gave me product recommendations as well (didn't try to sell me anything in the store, just recommended good products). If you're looking for a clean, professional haircut, this place is it. Make sure you book an appointment though! They are crazy busy, so it's best to make an appointment. I booked one for 6pm and Dan took me 20 minutes early, which was awesome. Great place, great haircut for $27.
Friendly and competent staff. Clean. Clean, laid back shop. Easy to use online booking. Myles has been my go-to guy. Always a perfect fade and cut. Makes great recommendations when changing styles.
The first experience was surprisingly great. I live nearby and stopped in to inquire about an appointment. They had just had a cancellation and took me right away. Decent experience and cut. Four or five stars. A month later I stopped in to book an appointment and dude was annoyed at the request. He said "the easiest thing to do is check our website". So...I left, and got styled somewhere else. Another month, another attempt ... And another annoyed barber work the same script..."the easiest thing to do is check our website". There's a customer standing in your shop trying to book services and it's "easier" to book online? Easier for who? Easier to find a barber with less attitude. Someone out there might find it "easier" to take my business.
Went and saw Pancho Ladinos aka @Delpanch... I’ve been to barbers far, and barbers near, I’ve had them tell me “Man the barbers around here in Seattle don’t know s*** about cutting hair like I do.” I’ve had good and bad experiences. My experience with Pancho was beyond great! He is the first barber ever to cut my hair to the exact way I have always wanted, I showed him a few pictures of what I was wanting and he worked his magic. The result was a masterpiece! His attention to detail is that of a mouse taking cheese from a trap, super meticulous and he won’t stop until you and him are both satisfied. I can’t say enough good things about Pancho. If you’re looking for a “good haircut” go to someone else, but if you’re looking for a great haircut and experience; to be able to trust someone and have ease of mind you’ll be taken care of then book with Pancho Ladinos aka @DelPanch
I got my first haircut in 3+ years here. An hour later, I'm a new man! Great job by Nate.
I went there previously the guy who cut my hair was amazing and really nice. There was a mix up with my appointment but the manager took care of me and made me feel appreciated.
Alyssa is fantastic
got one of the worst sloppy haircuts in my life.. but maybe it was a fluke. regretting that I left a tip for this >$30 rush job
This place is the best barbershop in Seattle. Dan is the man! He kills it the clippers! Rachel is amazing too! Those are the only two that have cut my hair but I have the upmost confidence that any of the barbers at Squire are amazing. Seriously all of them are top notch. Have to make an appointment but it's a small price to pay for the quality of haircut.
Myles gave an amazing haircut. Can't beat the quality for the price here.
Squire Barbershop is rated one of the top barbers in the region: because they are. Everyone there is top notch, I couldn't ask for better service! Let's face it, in this day and age especially with their popularity it's no surprise you need to schedule an appointment online. Shout-out to Rachel Ady, she nailed the look I needed on the first go. I'd been looking for a great barber for a while. Price: It's Seattle, they're the best, it's 2017, you're getting excellent service and it's all worth the price. Sidenote, if you do drive in Seattle... Take a bus or light rail to Squire.
Young barbers, who were able to get me a cool cut despite my stupid and vague instructions. Rad atmosphere.
This is my first time having Myles. He was awesome. I think he used like 72 different clippers on me. Super chill.
Great cuts, relaxing atmosphere. Classic barbershop. Don't forget to make an appointment!
Never a bad cut.
Place is legit great hair cuts Dan is the man I'm sure the other guys are great to but hit him up for a cut
The best of The best
By far the best haircut I have had in a long time! I will definitely be back regularly to see David! Great location, amazing service, and wonderfully priced!
Rachael gives a great haircut every single time. Appointments are required, and getting one ensures there is no waiting.
Worth the cost. I am not good at planning ahead so I inevitably schedule with anyone at Squire B that has an opening.
Being able to schedule my appointment online is great and I've always been happy with the haircut I've received.
I was looking for a place that regularly works on longer beards. David's expertise was clearly evident. His careful sculpting left me looking better than ever. The price was more than fair. Overall a great experience. I'll be coming back next time I need a trim.
Best barbershop in Seattle
Great haircut. Kind of annoying the barber has to keep answering the phone to schedule appointments.
I was looking for the best place to get the proper short textured haircut and Myles did an amazing job. So far the best barbershop.
I just walked out of here with the best haircut of my life. I've had a lot of good and bad haircuts, but this was my first ever awesome/amazing experience. Wish I could afford to leave a $100 tip I was so happy with my cut. Very reasonable prices, too. They do haircuts, buzzes, beard trimming, etc. It's definitely worth checking out. Brian took great care of me and I know I'll be visiting Squire again in the future. Thanks!
Great haircut. Reasonable price. Book your appointment online.
Rick gives the best fades of your live.
I've been twice while I've been in Seattle for work. Erich and Nate both did an awesome job. Appointments usually book out 1-2 weeks in advance.
Great barbershop. Great barbers as well.
Big fan of David Squire. Great haircuts and conversation. Good luck getting in to see him though!
Erick is a wizard, plain and simple. All the guys here are great, though I haven't gotten a cut with them. Good atmosphere. Ive been coming here for years and will keep stopping in whenever I'm in town
Edit: It is not normal for me to change a review, but after leaving a two star review, I had an opportunity to talk to the owner of Squire Barbershop who showed that he truly cares about his staff and customers. Honestly, most business owners could learn from how he handled this with me. Original review: Probably great if you want the type of haircut their barbers are familiar with. Not great if you're a little less hip like me and looking for a more gently textured haircut (i.e. not cut super short with a machine on the lower half of your skull). Moreover, the Squire barbers are not particularly friendly so I'm not coming back. Update: I will definitely go back to Squire next time I'm looking for a haircut in Downtown Seattle.
Cool men's barber shop. Guys were cool and though a full schedule managed to get me on and get a great cut. Decor is a guy's shop too, men's mags including PB
Booked Solid on a Monday with 2 open chairs
These guys give great classic haircuts.
A really great experience with top notch barbers. Make you appointment online and show up ready to go. There is no receptionist so just let your barber know that you are there for them. A great cut everytime.
This place is a very unfriendly place. When i walked in was asked do you have an appointment. I stated no As the web site said no appointment neccesary. Well, i was argued with and the bearded barber stated to me well its not our site. I walked out disappointed and still looking for a barber. I guess that ill get one on the cruise ship to Alaska..
If you ever need a great haircut in Seattle this is the place you need to be!!
Liked my haircut. Did a great job with a clean cut, took his time to ensure he did it right
Dope
I've been going here for years. I get my hair cut by David Squire, who owns the shop. He has always done a stellar job by me and I will keep going back to talk to him about video games and boys and other things that are fun. My friend gets his hair cut with Eric who does a phenomenal job from what I've seen. You can book online, though it can be hard sometimes depending on who you wanna get, since they are so popular. I don't know that I would advise a walk-in during the weekday at least.
Been seeing Dan for over a year now, literally couldn't be happier. :)
Dude from Florida was friendly and efficient,a good experience for me.
Great barbers in high demand. Don’t even think of trying a walk-in! They use Resurva to manage appointments and these guys are BOOKED. Plan ahead. Unfortunately, Resurva often screws up so I can’t give five stars. Enabling clients to use the service is core to good business. If Resurva can’t be fixed, Squire needs to explore alternatives.
Been seeing Dan for 3 years now, book appointments ahead of time (which can be done online), it's rare that they take walk-ins.
I booked from two weeks ago and Myles is lovely and unmatched in their work. Of course, they are all masterminds.
My first official Barber Shop beard trim. I expected a quick buzz and I would be out. David not only asked a lot of questions, but he took the time to make my beard look great. Will definitely recommend and be back.
Squire Barbershop is without question the best barbershop I have ever been to. In particular, I can't say enough good things about Rachel. The quality of the work present at this shop is simply amazing. I would highly recommend Squire to anyone in the Seattle area.
Great place for a cut with great staff!
Rachel was awesome! Will be going back in the future!
Worth it. Moved here a year and half ago and needed a new barber. Booked an appointment after several recommendations. I was not disappointed. Been coming here ever since and I always walk out with a great cut. YOU NEED AN APPOINTMENT and YOU NEED TO BE PATIENT. If you don't feel extra special here or you're put off by staff not dropping everything to make you happy you will only find disappointment. But that rule applies everywhere.
I had Nate as a barber I'm extremely impressed. Cool shop, too!
Its really nice place very close to pike market. The do their job with perfection. They are professional before starting their job they understand your choice.
This latest barbershop is a long ways from the dark little shop Dave had in the market. It's big and airy but not too fancy. He did not go overboard with the bro-ness, I would take my Mom there if she wanted a fade. Dave is a great barber but good luck getting an appointment with him. Luckily he's always had a good crew of barbers to fill the other spots. The last few times I've had Nate cut my hair and he's done a great job. Good attention to detail and a careful touch. I recommend trying him
They were very busy when I was there, but they were helpful. I bought a couple products other from there other shops don't carry. I'll have to come back for a cut.
Great haircut and beard trim at a really solid price.
Pricey but well worth it! Make sure you make an appointment, rarely will they have time for a walk-in and they are offering booked out a couple weeks in advance.
No details about it being a reservation salon on Google! Can't call yourself a barbershop if you don't take walk ins! Lame!
Great barbershop, excellent experience here. Ask for Andrew! They are always busy and spots book fasst. I recommend making an appointment online.
Pancho is awesome, probably the best haircut I've ever gotten and he understood what I was asking for even though I always have difficulty explaining. Look forward to heading back.
If I was a god and had to create barbershop, I would create Squire. Dan Riner is a great barber.
Awesome to get a (great) cut while so far from home, felt right at home in what is obviously a very close knit team. Thank you guys!
If you are looking for a good barber, check out Myles McGhee at this shop. I told him what I wanted, he executed it perfectly, and he has maintained my cut for me in a way that satisfies me completely. He is an excellent barber, a cordial young family man, and a sure-handed professional in every way.
I used to get my hair cut here when I lived in Seattle and Eric was by far the best barber I’ve had, and went the extra mile every time! Miss you buddy! Call me!
This place books up fast! Luckily, I was able walk in and the guys fit me in the schedule. I think this haircut is the best I've ever had! If you're in Seattle, get a haircut from these dudes!
Easily the best shop in town! I highly recommend making an appointment and getting cut by Erick, David or Bryan.
I’ve been going here for 4 years and Eric has always done a good job of cutting my hair!
Awesome place! Dan cut my hair to exactly what I asked for and did not rush the service at all. Best barber I've been to in North America. 5 stars
Good haircuts and reasonable prices.
I had a great experience here. I have actually come to dread getting a hair cut because I often have to "grow it out a little" before I don't look like I had a visit by Edward scissor hands. I came in to see mark to get my first haircut at Squires. It was easy to set up an appointment online which was a big plus for me. Mark was great. I told him what I wanted but I am not big into hair styles so I gave the worlds worst explanation. I simply stated, "make it look nice. I want it conservative but up to date." Whenever I go into details, I find my barbers try so hard to get what I want that they butcher my hair. He said he understood and then went to work. Now, I am a dentist that values esthetics. If you come see me, I expect you want a good looking tooth at the end but don't know how to explain that. You just know you don't want ugly teeth. That is how I feel about hair cuts. You either know what you are doing or you don't and no amount of explanation can help that. Mark knows what he is doing. I can honestly say I was happy for the first time post haircut. Now, thanks to mark, I have to drive to Seattle every month if I want a decent haircut.
Couldn't be happier with David and am always glad to support a real local business. Appointments pretty much required but worth it to become a regular.
A real barbershop located in downtown Seattle. Cool vibe and great barbers. Can't go wrong with any of them. I highly recommend Erick Hirsch for an amazing east coast fade. He's usually booked out, so good luck getting an appointment.
A serious barbershop with a staff that sticks around for awhile. I've been getting the best haircuts I've ever had there from Dan Riner.
Best haircut I've ever gotten (thanks Eric!). Went back to get it trimmed up and back to snuff and it ended up just as good as the first time. I appreciate the simplicity of the shop as well. Nice in a time when men are constantly being prodded to go to 'men's salons' when all we really need is a good barber in a simple shop.
Great haircuts at great prices with a cool vibe
Apparently They are not able to reserve a spot through the phone. I called them, I and the person on the phone agreed to reserve me a spot for the following week. When I arrived, they never set it on the system and I wasted my time going there.
I managed to sneak in as walk in and get Mike who apparently is booked up for the next month. I believe it bc it was the best haircut I've gotten in awhile and worth the $32. Cool spot too
I’ve been coming here since I moved to Seattle a year and a half ago. Their appointments fill up quickly, you will need to book several weeks in advance for the best available times. They don’t take walk ins, but you can add yourself to the waitlist for any cancellations. Dan Riner has been cutting my hair every time and he does an excellent job.
David gives amazing haircuts!
Newly expanded with plenty of chairs, open 7 days a week. Friendly staff. Fair prices, good haircuts.
Best cuts of my life. The atmosphere rules too.
Brian has amazed me with haircuts that make me feel great when I leave and grow out perfectly even.
Easily the best haircut I've had in over 5 years. I call the morning of and always have been able to schedule a haircut that afternoon. Very pleased, returning customer.
Dan cuts my hair, and his attention to detail is flawless!
Accommodated my last minute request without appointment! Loved their staff and overall ambience! They really want you to look great!
Great haircuts, convenient location and hours, cool guys. Online scheduling and wait list are super convenient too. Love this place.
This is a lovely place! Extremely worth it. Erick cut my hair and did a wonderful job. I just moved to this city and I’m sure Erick is going to be my go to guy.
Good haircuts with beard trims available. Great place to go off you're not looking for a chatty barber. Good array of quality styling products available; barbers seem knowledge about each one.
My favorite barber shop in Seattle. Can be very hard to get an appointment so be sure to book several weeks ahead or register on the wait list since people move appointments around. All the barbers are great here, but Eric is a legend. Unfortunately, I’m moving out of Seattle soon and need to start searching for a new barber.
Precision work, fun conversations, Playboy. Won't find a better experience...unless they served drinks!
Great haircuts, excellent beard trims, and the staff is friendly and funny.
Great barbers who you can expect to come back to for years. Good value for the quality of the haircut. Friendly conversation, or none if you don't feel like having it. Good location too. Hard not to recommend.
Need an improvement on the workers attitude.
This place was recommended by a friend. It was very difficult to get a haircut through their online reservation system. You need to make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance. I didn't end up liking my haircut, but I could tell the guy knew what he was doing. It really comes down to preference, but I liked the vibe of the place. The haircut cost $40-45 including tip. Always tip your barber.
My favorite place to go for a hot towel head shave and beard trim.
All the barbers are solid. Schedule an appointment ONLINE. They're always booked; same-day calls and walk-ins aren't possible due to the online wait-list.
Rude
Best barbershop around! Hands down.
I saw the great reviews online and I was really excited for a haircut. I made an appointment online for 9:30 am on a Sunday. At 9:20 I am standing outside the store and the doors are locked, lights are off, and there is a we are closed sign. (I also called and the answering machine said that no one was there). I assumed that their website must have been buggy. I left and found another barber to cut my hair. At 9:30 I decided to call the shop one last time. Someone answered the phone and I told them that I thought there website was a little off since I came for my appointment for 9:30 and no one was there. The barber who answered the phone was incredibly rude, and said “your appointment said 9:30 and I’m here at 9:30 aren’t I?” If you want to run a business properly at least advertise that you won’t be at your own store until the very last minute. It is commonplace for barbershops to arrive several minutes early to check in and wait for your appointment to start. They claim their customers matter since that’s how they get their paychecks, but if you truly value your customers your first reaction to a complaint is not to act defensive.
