Went in today and saw Daniel W. It’s an awesome place and he’s an awesome dude. Didn’t make me talk more than I wanted to and also got my hair perfect from my rambling description of what I wanted. I felt comfortable there. I have a new barber home. The shop atmosphere was great, much better than a few other places I’ve been to in the city.

The service was fine, and making a reservation was super easy, but pretty bad haircut experience. Really aggressive with the clippers (just went to town on my scalp), faded like an inch higher on one side, left long hairs by my ears, made no attempt at conversation - very weird time at Millheads. Obviously not going back.

I can see why Millheads son best barber shop. Tommy O was fantastic. And a Veteran to boot! The straight razor hot towel combo was top notch. If you need a quality cut and beard trim. Gotta be Millheads with Tommy.

Millheads is a great place to get a haircut. It's easy to schedule an appointment with them and their location in Pioneer Square is super-convenient. Paul, the owner, has been my stylist for 3 years and the only person I'll let touch my hair after having two disastrous haircuts before finding him. My hair always looks amazing when I step away from his chair. I highly recommend him.

Late review. Davie actually cut my hair. (Assuming the amazing barber is still there....) I got the haircut about 7 months ago. But my point here is..... everywhere I’ve ever lived in my life.... I’ve never had someone do as good of a job as he did. I have thin blonde hair and I asked for a crazy really low skin fade. (Like lil money but I’m white and with blonde hair.) it was an amazing cut. The outgrowth even looked good for about a month. Only reason I didn’t go back to him when I was in seattle is because I was always “looking for something better”. He by far gave me my best and favorite haircut. Thanks, Davie!

I've followed her from the last place she worked because she's that good! She also takes feedback really well if you ask her "go a little shorter here" or "take this higher", no pretentious attitude ever!

I had trouble with booking an appointment online last minute (mostly my fault) but Millheads was still able to accommodate me on a Saturday. Their staff was really friendly and personable, much more so than when I tried to go to Rudy’s. The haircut was really precise and my barber carried a great, easy conversation. A little more money than I’d like to pay at $38 for a short cut and wash, but worth it now and then for the service and the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.

It was alright, the cut wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I received an asymmetrical cut when I asked for a mid top fade. The barber was a pretty aggressive with all the equipment, and I got jabbed and hit a few times, on top of the cut feeling a little rushed. I had to go home and fix stray hairs or long ones that were passed over with my own clippers. I also don't know what they use for trimmers but it bloodied up my neck pretty badly. Maybe it was just a weird experience with the barber I had, but I won't be going back. I think I'll just stick with capellis while trying get an appointment at squire.

My first visit here and it was great. I really enjoy the barbershop feel of the place. There were lots of barbers on hand. I had Paul, whom I will definitely use again. He was very pleasant and I appreciated him taking the time to give me tips on growing my beard. Will definitely be going back.

One of the best barbershop's I've ever been to. Very skilled barbers. You can get a close shave, steam towel, killer hair cut and a beer! All this from the friendliest staff you'll find anywhere. The look, vibe and laid-back atmosphere of the place makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. You want to make an appointment well in advance as they book up quickly but the wait and effort are well worth it. Simply the best!

Update: Daniel still rocks! We still love MH! We took the ferry down today for a Mens Cut with Daniel. First of all, we were so surprised by the convenience of the location! Just minutes away from the ferry, and a short walking distance from the $3/ hr garage and Starbucks, Millhead in our mind is located at a prime location. The staff, all professional and knowledgeable in the art of cutting hair, AND of the city, made our day planning much easier! Daniel, is just super awesome, skilled, and friendly without over doing it. We absolutely loved him! Got the best cut ever! Last but but definitely not least, the lady hair stylist is WAY COOL. Gave me the best Chinatown lunch advice I could get. Never got her name, but was able to watch her in action and she was just super too! Thank you again Millhead and staff! You guys are so totally worth it to jump across the pond! You guys totally ROCK! See you again soon! :)

Bad business etiquette. Whoever runs this establishment seems to not care at all about their customer service. They moved me to another barber but never contacted me about any of it. I chose to not take the risk and went elsewhere. If you're looking for professionalism, it's not here. Looks are really deceiving. Low end customer service. They have a lot to learn. I got the same haircut around the corner with amazing friendly service and was satisfied. Could've been worth my time but I'll just follow the barber not the shop. A true lesson I've learned.

Although they say on their website that they cut women's hair too, I wouldn't recommend going here for it. I went in with hair that was above my shoulders looking for a trim, and at the end got charged $45 for a Long Hair Cut (website says a Long Hair Cut is for "Shoulder length or longer haircuts"). Disappointing because the interior was cool and the staff friendly enough, but clearly only meant for men. Sad to think I was charged more most likely just because I was a woman. Unfortunately won't be going back.

No issue with the barber but they need to treat people well - went there for a 615pm appointment, reached at 605pm and after waiting 15 minutes they said that the barber is running late when I specifically booked the appointment after specifying a time sensitivity. Worst part is that they took a complete walk-in ahead of me - the rationale provided was that this is not the barber I booked you with. I was so hopeless because I didn’t book a specific barber myself - my first time in the city so didn’t know anyone, much less a barber! They should fire the person on the front desk - she was a nice person but does that matter?
