Absolutely love taking my teenage son to this place! The staff are always nice and courteous everytime we get my son's haircut, and they always do a fabulous job! They take the time to make sure my son's hair is done to his liking and double check with him throughout the process. We have been to too many other places where the employees were either rude or really messed up my son's hair, or both. It's sincerely refreshing to be able to go to a place and know I won't feel super stressed out or have to fix my son's hair when we get home.

Great place to get a haircut for a man, this is a old fashioned barbershop where a haircut won't break the bank, you can have a conversation with your barber about days past in a cute and nostalgic decor. This is what a barbershop should be, fun and interesting. I will return

I have tried a number of barbers in town - some mediocre and some downright inadequate. I asked my neighbor where he went and with enthusiasm he told me HOT ROD. He and his wife have made it a family affair - he uses Kelly and Renee takes care of his wife. I switched immediately and now look forward to getting haircuts. I'm 70 and remember the days when a neighborhood barber shop was a place of community, not just a churn-and-burn "clip joint." Like a welcoming local coffee shop, HOT ROD is a racial melting pot, a family and a community place. It's a pleasure to watch both Kelly and Renee interact with two and sometimes three generations of local families. Kelly is a flattop specialist and our “level-headed” mayor is a customer. Their rates are more than reasonable, all the more so because they offer discounts for military and seniors. As we used to say back-in-the-day - "Try it. You'll like it."

What a nightmare. On 10-23-18 had to sit for 90 MINUTES while the wife (of the husband and wife barber team) passed me over for other customers when I had been sitting patiently in line. I went up to the sign-up sheet and saw that my name had been crossed out! The wife (the female barber of the husband and wife team) said that "Oh I guess I'm the one who did that". She NEVER called out anyone's name. When the husband came back from his 90 minute "lunch" I asked him how long it would take for him to start cutting my hair. He said from the looks of the sign-in sheet, 40 MINUTES. THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE WAITING!! I'M NOT JOKING! My movie time was getting close so I had to leave. I DON'T UNDERSTAND THEIR SENSE OF HUMOR, AND WON'T BE GOING BACK BECAUSE I DON'T NEED THE AGGRAVATION. You'll always have to fight to get your haircut. I URGE EVERYONE TO GO SOMEPLACE ELSE.
