Dion is hands down the best barber in town, rivaled only by how good of a person he is. I've been several times at this point, and he remembers me by name and how I like my hair cut! To go even further, I'd like to share my experience today.
I arrived at around 3. I had noticed he'd been closed lately in the afternoons so I was excited to see he was inside cutting hair, but his signs said he was closed. I wasn't sure if he just forgot to flip the sign from lunch so I poked my head in. Dion greeted me by name, acknowledged he was closed, but invited me in anyways. Then, after finishing on the patron before me, got to work on me. He said he'd been closing at 2 everyday, which meant he had been closed for over an hour! The guy just didn't want to turn anyone away. When he finished my hair, which is always done really well, I found out I was 5 dollars short on cash. He didn't even blink, he said "don't worry I'll get you next time". I couldn't leave him hanging though. I hustled to a cash machine and back before he was able to get out.
Think about this... what business can you walk in after it closed, get premium topnotch friendly service, and then get a pass on paying full price because you're short!? It just doesn't exist.
Point is, Dion takes care of you. He's a neighbor. These are the people that make Stanwood a great place to live. Support the heck out of this guy and his family!!
Thanks Dion! I appreciate you buddy!
And if anyone reads this far, don't come up a fiver short on purpose just because Dion will give you a pass till the next one. In fact, make sure you throw a few extra fivers his way for being a great dude.
