This shop has been a tradition for me, and my sons since it opened. A great place to grab a cool beverage, have some guy time and make connections through the friendly social atmosphere. Oh yea, amazing haircuts too! Billy is an artist with his cuts and has been cutting my hair for years. So good infact he is often booked out and im unable to get him with my odd work schedule. Because of this I have had my hair and my sons cut by several of the other barbers at brickyard. Never disappointed with any appointment or walk in this is the ONLY place I go for my cuts.

This shop is rad. You might have to make an appointment since it seems they are usually pretty busy, but if you know anything about business, that's a good sign. Andrew cut my hair, and for the first time in what seems like years, I got the haircut I wanted. He spent a long time getting it just right, and I couldn't be happier with my experience there. I recently photographed a wedding where the groom and his groomsmen spent the morning getting ready at the shop. Everyone at the shop was super accommodating for a large group (plus me running around with a camera) and added to the fun of the day getting to know the guys, asking about the wedding plans, joining in on fun conversations. All the guys had a blast and came out looking super fly for a full day of photographing! Thanks dudes.

Recommend making an appointment, as walk-ins getting service within the same 30 minutes of arrival are rare. Great barbershop with great talent, especially for beards. They do all the stuff you would expect at a quality barbershop without glorifying it (straight razor cuts with cream, etc.) Please bring cash for your barber

I basically was in the shop no one said a single word to me they just kind of look at you and I walked out because I felt uncomfortable however I can't give them a one-star because I don't know how they cut hair I have heard good things about there barbers. A great place for a guy to get a haircut. Jefferson was professional and gave a great cut, after doing the haircut they put a hot towel on your neck and give you a straight razor shave to get your lines looking crisp. Best hair cut I have ever had. This will be the only place I go from now on.

In a word, FANTASTIC. The shop is a complete package; a throwback to the old-school barber shop--complete with great people, great cuts, and a great atmosphere. Worse customer service ever! I called to schedule an appointment and left a message and never received a call back. When I finally got an appointment set a day later I had something come up and had to call to cancel the appointment. So I called and spoke with the Barber Collin Anthony who I was scheduled with and told him I needed to cancel my appointment and reschedule. Collin then informed me of a 24 hour notice requirement.(mind you it was 21 hours before my appointment). I apologized and then was informed the next time I come into see him I will have a cancelation fee on top of my service charge. (mind you I was referred to him, it was my first time trying to see him too and something came up which hindered me from make my appointment) I then advised Collin that he will not be receiving my business and he stated that I was not welcome at his shop. Never been treated with such disrespect by a hair cuter. I guess Collin Anthony doesn't need new business and probably doesn't deserve any new business either.

I heard about this place from a recommendation and was told to see Ken. One of the best haircutting experiences I have ever had. I had to drive from 45 minutes away, but it is so worth it. I was instantly greeted and loved the atmosphere of the place. If you're looking for a great barber and a friendly experience I highly recommend Ken and the rest of the staff there. Also if you have a kid who is scared of haircuts their shop dog is really friendly which will help calm them down.

After gathering recommendations and reviews from around town, I decided to try Brickyard for my first real beard barber. I’m glad I did! Old school barber shop right on Monroe. Matt gave me a great cut and a ton of no nonsense advice for beard care. Watching the other guys work though, I wouldn’t hesitate to trust my cut to any one of them. Saw a lot of impressive beards come through while I was in the chair. This must be the place! Ton of extra care and all at a great price.

My hair is very important to me, and it boosts my confidence when my cut is how I want it to be. Everything changed when I sat down in Jeffersons chair and I got my first real barber cut. The time, care and detail that Jefferson puts it, makes me look forward to going in because I am confident that I will walk out with what I wanted my hair to look like. My husband brought our autistic son in to get his haircut the staff was by far Unprofessional when it came to my sons hair it had a few knots in it and they were laughing and joking and making fun of my sons hair. They made my autistic son feel very sad and put down and he felt worthless when you go in there you’re there to be groomed you’re there or not to be put down by others. My husband has been going to the shop for over a year normally he has a good experience but for some reason the barber that was doing my sons hair decided to be unprofessional and rude and make fun of my sons hair.

Brickyard Barbershop is an excellent local business for the city of Spokane. I am impressed with my barber, Jefferson, who is not only great at getting my own haircut right every time, but also great about beard trims when needed. Let's provide a rundown of the pros and criticisms of the business: Pros: I think my barber Jefferson does a consistently great job with my hair and beard. The core concern of a barbershop is how well can they do your haircut--and I am completely satisfied with my hair needs here. I came to this place on a whim after my previous barber left town for Seattle a few years ago, and have found this place to be a great atmosphere for men. The music often plays classic rock, metal, and other eclectic tastes of the crew who run this place. The chairs have a nice classic barbershop feel, and individual personality is felt throughout the place. I feel as though all barbers that work at this shop would do a great job for any male's haircut. I see boys and men of all ages come in through the shop, so any needs are met. I also appreciate the friendliness and courtesy that I receive here. If on particular days I don't feel like smalltalking through a haircut, I won't be pressed to talk. However, I often enjoy the frivolous conversations shared amongst the professionals and patrons. Criticisms or Concerns you may have: The shop is cash only, which might be a bummer if you don't know that ahead of time. The haircuts are not as cheap as a place like Fantastic Sams or Great Clips, so if you're a penny pincher looking to spare every dime, this place might not be your jam. $30 a haircut might be expensive for some people, however I see the following: you get what you pay for with quality, and you help support a local business. A local business that I know has provided free back-to-school haircuts for local underprivileged youth in the past. Scheduling might be difficult when you walk in for the first time. Some of the barbers here are booked well in advance by their returning customers, so if you're looking for a particular individual you may have to wait longer to schedule an appointment. I recommend calling ahead and asking for availability. If I were a new customer, personally speaking, I'd feel confident walking in on a whim and waiting for the next available barber. I write this review not simply after one haircut, or one good experience, but after having gone to this barbershop for over two years now. For males or those individuals who wish to have a nice haircut for men, I recommend this excellent local business.
