If you’re looking for a great haircut for your guy this is the place. I took my son while on vacation. The one barber was very friendly and gave quality cuts. We waited for a while but it was worth the wait. She helped us understand that she’d rather give a great quality cut and have to turn people away than hire just anyone to make a dollar. I respect that wholeheartedly. Besides in a world full of immediate satisfaction, we can all use a reminder of what it means to wait for something great.

My hair was cut at another barbershop five minutes prior to going into this one and it looked terrible. I told my story to Donna Marie and she took the time and effort to explain what she was going to do and did an amazing job repairing the damage that the previous Barber had done. The shop is very welcoming and I truly appreciated her. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the ocean front area

A diamond in the rough! Very friendly staff! My boys needed a hair cut desperately and I found them while I was on vacation at Va. Beach. My oldest showed the stylist a picture and they cut it exactly how he wanted it. I highly recommend them!

Every time my husband and I have come here to get his haircut, the wait time has been over 2 hours. We came in a few days ago, sat and waited for an hour because there were two others in front of us, which we completely understood. The owner told us to come back in an hour; we came back, and she was nowhere near done. There was still one other client in front of us. So we wasted 2 hours out of our day and were lied to. We come in today, and had even called beforehand. Same exact deal. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous, not sure if it’s worth the services provided. We’ve already waited for an hour. This time there were two barbers. One barber was working while the other one was reading a book. She asked my husband if he needed a haircut when we first walked in. He said yes of course, and she continued reading. A walk in comes in, and he asks if she’s available for a haircut. She jumps up and services the guy that just walked in, rather than us who have already been waiting for an HOUR. Who does that? Extremely upsetting. Not to mention, this particular barbershop is outdated, does not feature the latest in men’s haircare and is overall run down and messy in appearance. The women who work here are older, and work more slowly, and there’s only one person working at a time. Not quite sure about the other rave reviews, we haven’t received the same experience. Just as an FYI, they do not accept appointments whatsoever and you have to pay cash.

Holly Barbershop is a gem.. a diamond in the rough.. it's quite obvious that the women who work there, are very experienced and well trained. They are masters at all cuts.. from marine skin fades to trendy hipster cuts, to the business man special! It's also a very cool place to hang out. You'll hear stories from the senior citizens, servicemen who have dodged bombs, to little boys proudly talking about their tee ball games.. In other words... Go see them and you can thank me later!!

Nice little place on vacation in Virginia beach an my son needed a hair cut. the 2 ladys in there were nice polite i decided to get mine trimed while there as well they did nice job.. im old school ..trim alway around... white wall around the ears too. short hair i have to have because of headaches ladys were great i go back in a minute

I went in with very vague guidelines for my hair because I didn't know exactly what I wanted, but Marie worked with it and made my unclear vision a reality. She is a super nice lady who has been cutting hair for 20+ years and it shows. She takes her time: frequently measuring hair strands and making very short precise cuts for small hairs. I would highly recommend this shop for men or women.

The ladies at Holly Famous Barbershop are dedicated professionnals. My haircut was done within 30 minutes with an eyebrow trim and neck massage at no extra cost! While I was in very good hands, in the neighboring chair was an authistic teenager and his hairdresser took the time and the dedication to go at his pace making all the challanges like a walk in the park... WOW!

I was just visiting from Los Angeles for a Judo tournament and i needed a cut badly, too long hair. i called her as she was closing and was able to accommodate me last minute. The ladies at Holly Famous Barber shop are truly amazing at what they do. This is one of the few remaining barber shops that still has that old feel to it. Everyone slowly but surely gets to know everybody. The customers chat it up while they stylists do their thing. Great atmosphere, great prices, great haircuts. Donna and Devon are by far the best in building though. If you're going for your first time I would definitely recommend seeing either of them, it's always worth the wait.
