I am so happy with my cut and color! I had a bad hair job done at another salon, and knew it would take some skill to fix my orange color. Sage not only was knowledgable in how to fix my color, but was able to give me advice on how to repair my hair, and some neat tricks of the trade! It was clear that she knew what she was doing, and loved her job. I was surprised at their prices- they are priced below other Burlington area salons but still gave me top quality results. I also really appreciated that no one pushed Aveda products at me. I've been to places where I feel like the people that work there are more salespeople for their shampoo brand than stylists, and though every one at Salon Salon was an expert in the Aveda products, I never felt pressured to buy anything. The salon is cute and clean and extremely welcoming. After having embarrassing hair, going to Salon Salon gave me confidence and the chance for my hair to heal! I can't wait to go back!

Just had the best experience at this salon. Loved the Aveda hi-light, and haircut. Great brow waxing too. My stylist nailed it! Really Nice staff, beautiful space, convenient parking. I Will most definitely be back. So glad to find this gem.

I've yet to have had a haircut that I enjoyed till I went to here. The staff are incredible, I can't recommend this salon enough. They are also super friendly and supportive towards the LGBT community. Honestly I can't thank them enough.

First time client. I admit, Im probably a tired hairdressers nightmare. My hair is long, thick and curly and I tend to go years between cuts because Im lazy. But, Im also picky. Stephanie did a fantastic job. We chopped the locks, dyed the grey and blew it out. Im so happy with the results! Best part? Very affordable prices compared to what Im accustomed to.

I just saw Kristin for a haircut todat, and not only was she super helpful and kind, but she was so great to talk to as well. She helps me find the perfect product for my hair, and gave me a little cup sample of it so I could try it. Everyone in there is so down to earth and kind, and I'd recommend them (and Kristin) to anyone looking for a great salon experience in Chittenden County.

The atmosphere is clean and chic but the positives end here. I am extremely displeased with the service I received. I went in for a highlight and hair cut. When I sat in the chair I told the stylist my goals and the look I wanted, she and the owner then proceeded to tell me the look I wanted was too fake, too much maintenance, and was not going to look good. First of all, I think I know what I like and what looks good on me, however I was a little taken a back by these comments and second guessed myself. They are professionals so I decided to take their advice. The stylist refused to put bleach in my hair and decided to highlights with some blonde color and do a low light also to make it look natural with my re-growth. Although this is not really what I wanted I did agree to it. If this had been the only error of the day then I would have not been too upset however the stylist was very slow while working on me and continually was taking breaks to drink her coffee, which also would not have been a big deal but I was in the salon for FIVE hours just getting highlights and a hair cut. The highlights did not turn out how I wanted at all, there was not enough highlights and the blonde color was not as light as I wanted at all. The low-lights look brassy and orange. I could honestly have done a better job by myself at home. I told the stylist exactly what I wanted for my hair cut which was an angled bob with lots of funky layers, a hair cut I've had before and loved. This however was NOT what I got, what I did receive was the worst bob I've ever seen, all one length. I am only 21 years old and this hair cut made me look like an elderly woman. I asked her to please change it because that was not what I asked for. I decided she must be a little daft to not understand my description of the hair cut I wanted even though I described it in detail and said I wanted to look like Rihanna. So I searched for a picture on my phone and showed it to her. I thought after this it would be smooth sailing........I could not have been more wrong. Not only did she do nothing of what I described it also looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture, still no angle in my bob at all and she just kept cutting my hair shorter and shorter until it was WAY too short for my head/face shape and completely the ugliest hair cut I've ever had. Not only was my hair cut horrible but towards the end of my appointment because the stylist had taken 5 hours to do what normally is a 2 hour job at any other salon she was rushing me and acting very rude. She blow dryed some of my hair and then asked me to straighten my own hair at another chair so she could start her next person. I was SHOCKED, I've never paid for a service and have been asked to style my own hair at the end! While I was styling my OWN hair, the owner came over to check on me. I told her I was not happy with how it turned out and very displeased with the hair cut. She decided to tell me that I should come in again to get more highlights if I want to be blonder. Then I ended up paying FULL price for what I considered to be a hack job. I would have thought the owner would have done or said something to help the situation, I'm astonished at the lack of customer service here. Overall, If you want to waste your time and money please give your business to Salon Salon in Winooski, VT.

I am writing today to express my dissatisfaction with my hair cut yesterday on July 12, 2017. I went in with very long hair and asked it to be cut just above the breast area. Instead I left with my hair just passing over my shoulders. In addition, the blowout that I received was terrible and just magnified how unhappy I was with my hair. My stylist also was very unpleasant during my appointment and barely talked with me making me feel uncomfortable as she kept rushing around and checking the clock as though my appointment was going to make her late for her next ones. I said that I was satisfied at the end of my appointment but I just didn't know what to say in the moment. I wanted to cry with how short my hair was. Furthermore, I arrived with my hair in its natural texture so the stylist could see what she was working with. I said explicitly that my hair will spring up when it dries wavy/curly so that she would not cut it too short. However, she started by cutting it dry and I asked to see how much she took off in the back. When she turned me around there was no going back. She said she had cut off about 6 inches (a nightmare for anyone who had been growing their hair out for a while). Because she had cut it dry, she had to trim it further when it was wet, therefore making it shorter and shorter. I will not be coming back to Salon Salon ever again. There is a lack of professionalism at this salon. I was not even greeted by the receptionist when I walked in as I sat there for 10 minutes. If you are going in for a trim or a half-buzzed style then this place is probably fine, but if you are looking for a professionally done, polished haircut, I highly advise that you stay away from this salon. I will say that the manager was willing to speak with me and refunded the cost of the service which I appreciated.

I’ve had a great experience with the only hairdresser that I’ve seen she was very professional and always spoke politely to her customers. All the hairdressers do an amazing job the amount of beautiful product that comes out of this salon is amazing from hair cuts, color to eyelashes I am very impressed thank you for such great custom service as well as a great experience

Salon Salon in Winooski has an excellent atmosphere, friendly service and is incredibly reliable. When I first moved to Winooski I had a very difficult time finding a hair stylist that would return my calls. When I saw that Salon Salon was opening, I decided to give them a try and I'm happy I did. Whenever I need a haircut, I give Salon Salon a call and usually have an appointment scheduled by the end of the week. My haircuts typically take no more than an hour and always look incredible afterwards. Kendall, my hair stylist, is always fantastic to talk to and does a great job taking my incredibly vague description of what I want for my haircut and turning it into a great look every time.
