This has become my go-to for professional haircuts in Burlington. Very courteous stylists that know how to make you feel good while they make you look good! Hot towel, scalp massage, and shampoo round out their standard package. What else do you need? Be sure to make an appointment, walk-ins seem to be hit or miss.

I have a hair cut and dyed there a few days ago. Staff are friendly and stylists are knowledgeable, professional, skillful, and friendly. I was having my hair dyed looking at Lake Champlain from the window, what a view!!!

In my whole life I had only found one place that gave me a good haircut, until I found Gentlemen's Top Option. My hair is very wavy and unpredictable and I had gotten used to having to wait a few days after a haircut before it looked anything but horrendous. Kara gave me a fantastic haircut the first time and understood how my hair worked, something that is still a mystery to me. I've had terrible haircuts that cost more than this and mediocre haircuts that cost the same. I was blown away by everything about GTO - great views, friendly staff, neat perks, good price, and a great haircut.

Had a 4:00PM haircut appointment yesterday. Showed up at 3:57PM. Sat until 4:07PM when the receptionist told me, the stylist is almost done. I asked at 4:15PM if it'll be soon. Was told, about 15 more minutes. I left an unhappy costumer. Not what I call the best service for a haircut.

A great spot for a men's haircut in Burlington. I went here for years when I was at UVM and lived in the area. The wash and scalp massage actually makes getting a hair cut enjoyable.

Pleasant staff and I'm always happy with my haircut. You'll have to make an appointment to reliably get in, when I've been there they've had to turn away quite a few walk-ins because no one is free. Also, while they do accept plastic for the cut, tips must be cash.

We love this place. We travel from 2 hours away so my 5 year old son can get a proper boys haircut. There are not enough places in VT to get a quality trendy haircut. This place is the best. It's a long ride here but well worth it for us. The stylist who does his hair is great with kids and the place is quite relaxing.

Great place for men's haircuts. I miss the hot towel and straight razor shave of the neck that they used to do. I believe the State of Vermont changed the Barber and Cosmetologist laws a few years ago such that you needed to be a licensed Barber in order to use a straight razor, so it wasn't purely a decision on their part to discontinue this service. The staff is nice and most of them have a great sense of humor.

GTO was my salon for about a year while I lived in Burlington. I had nothing but great experiences with business and my stylist, Chantal. I found her to be very attentive and professional and a pleasure to talk to. The hot towel is of course a nice touch. Their cuts are not cheap, but if you place value on your hair and are interested in more than the standard barbershop ear-lowering, then GTO really can't be beat. Great view of the lake too. Highly recommended!
