It's a great environment and also the passion these guys put into their work is amazing. Fresh cuts leave this spot all day. The lighting, flat screen TVs and hip decor looks like and feels like I'm on a Hollywood movie set. Abd and all of the barbers are true artists with all hair types. I've never seen a bad cut leave Regal Barber Shop. A nice option for parents with kids is, Albert provides exceptional masterful barber attention to the lil' fellas. Make sure you get your credit card back before leaving the shop. My teenage son's card was not returned to him. He realized this less than 5 minutes after leaving, and returned to the shop, only to be told they didn't have his card. My son did not believe them, so he immediately canceled the card.

Went to James and everything I thought looked good turned out wasn’t. My sideburns I asked to come to a point and one was almost normal. I asked for a mohawk and once I got home I thought it looked a little off and after a day my fiancée saw my hair when there was no product in it and she said how I need to pay to get it fixed somewhere else. I did a 1 on the side so I had to buzz it all over. It is partially my fault for not going over it with much detail once he was finished but I was trying to get on with my errands. Needless to say I won’t be going back. I wanted this to be my new spot since it looked nice and is close to the house.

I'm sorta lazy about haircuts and almost never schedule with the same person twice so I usually just wander in and ask for whoever is free. I recently cut all my long hair off so going to a barber is a new experience for me. I tried a barbershop up in SLC, Garret Michael, because it had high reviews and looked pretty cool. Bad idea. My barber thought he knew better than I did and insisted on doing my cut his way instead of the way that I asked him to. Once he was finished I had a bunch of flyaways on the back of my head because of my cowlick and when he couldn't get them to lie flat, he just told me that my hair hadn't "learned the cut" yet and it would take a few weeks before it would lay flat. He also told me that I should DEFINITELY come back to him for my next cut so he could do a really cool cut with my newly tamed hair or whatever. When he did a straight razor shave on my neck, he left me with a nice collection of nicks and cuts- ouch. And on top of it all, he tried to get me to buy a $40 pomade to help my hair "learn the cut" faster. I declined and decided I wasn't going back there any time soon. I found James on Instagram and saw that he was working at Regal and had good, clean work so I thought I'd give him a go. Best decision ever. He was engaging and friendly and he actually paid attention to what haircut I wanted, even asking me clarifying questions to make sure he would do it right. When I asked him about how long it would take my hair to "learn the cut" he told me that there was no such thing and any good barber would make the hair do what it was supposed to on the first go. And he was right. There were no flyaways on this cut, and it looked exactly the way I wanted. No nicks after the straight-razor shave, either! I highly recommend seeing James if you want a barber who actually knows his stuff, won't try to sell you $40 pomade that you don't need, and who will give you the haircut you ask for the first time.

He is appt only, but I came in as a walk in and asked if he would take care of me . he had someone cancel and instead of taking his lunch break he gave me a phenomenal cut and fade! I was here in Salt Lake area from out of town and couldn’t be more happy with my cut. Notice that the ratings on Yelp are lower. Yelp removes good ratings to essentially ask for “protection money” from the business owner. Yelp is complete fake news, don’t believe or trust the info in that app...do your own due diligence to check me if you don’t believe that statement about Yelp. This barber ship is top notch!

I am bald with a beard so this one is for the fellas that rock a beard and are looking to get it professionally done. I tried many different locations to find a barber that was knowledgeable and detailed in their craft. Albert is one of the best barbers I have ever encountered. Detailed on the beard is something a lot of barbers do not practice they focus on the hair, but I can tell you that is not the case at Regal. As I observe the entire shop, I can tell you that all the cats in there know their craft and if my dude Albert goes on vacation and I need to get cleaned up, I am confident that any of these young gentlemen can make me look clean (but I am loyal). Always professional, reasonably priced, and great conversations the way a barber shop should be.
