I called to ask about a cut and color and the man that answered began the conversation with "What do you want, i'm very busy". I proceeded to ask if they provide a cut and color and he responded that they only do cuts then hung up on me. I would not recommend anyone to this and would strongly suggest the man learn telephone etiquette. even if they did provide the service I wanted I wouldn't go here after this brief and very rude conversation.

I just got my hair cut. I walked in with a mullet (unintentional) and walked out with a james dean. Although I'm not nearly as badass, it looks great. The $16 price is a steal considering Perry spent ~45minutes on my rat's nest. The guys at this barber shop know what they're doing, you'll be glad you came in.

They are both extremely talented and very friendly, but Jerry is my barber, simply because he's got extraordinary ninja barber skills with an amazing level of attention to detail :) Master of his art, this man. Like a doctor entering open-heart surgery on a fully conscious patient, Perry sliced and diced until the only thing left to say was, "Go get 'em tiger" and a big-game butt slap of confidence. The rest is history. Perry's cut helped me seal the deal on a long distance gamble with a gal, and landed me in a seriously fun relationship. He is my only barber now, and I travel over 500 miles to get a cut. Please don't die before I do, Perry, or my lady might leave me! Cheers-

Before traditional barbershops became a hipster thing, Perry's was here. I have no objective opinion because he has been my only barber for 25 years, but he is one of the best reviewed shops in town. Don't expect to just walk in anytime, but appointments are easy to get. Update: Perry now has Square and Venmo - saves a trip to the ATM up the street.

I started going to Perry in 1986 he cut my hair for years until 2013 when I became unemployed. After a new job I just could not get to his shop on his schedule times. His hair cuts are the best, he can cut hair better than the pros. Perry wont disappoint. good price and best entertainment while getting a cut. I just got the worst cut I have ever had in my life(not at perry's) and It made me miss Perry's.

I was a walk in today, Friday April 25th 2014. They sat me down , had me laughing, and got to work. Ive got CURLY pain in the butt hair. No one has ever done a good job cutting it. But they had me feeling like a million bucks. Love the cut, love the company, and love the atmosphere. The setting is very comfortable too. Old school barbers and an old school place. Oh yeah, the neck shave is fantastic... OHHHH and they also sold some amazing hair product for their cost. I love this place, and I'll be going there from now on!!!!!

Only in town for a week, my partner needed a trim and I needed repairs to a mangled haircut. Perry was enthusiastic to have us in his vintage chair, and promptly addressed both of our heads. The man knows what he's doing, and couldn't be more friendly and thorough. Even if you don't need a cut, stop in and see an enchanting barber shop, plucked from another era and plopped into downtown Salt Lake City.

Perry's shop has a very old school vintage feel to it. Not only is Perry a great barber and will give you the exact style you want, but he's a really cool guy to talk to. Although I have moved away from the area, I only went to him during the time I spent living in Salt Lake. I highly recommend you check him out!

I have been going to see Perry for 3+ years now. QUALITY way above many other barber shops I tried in SLC. Perry knows what he is doing and will keep you entertained the whole time, a true standup guy: unlike some of the stiffs in the other places I visited before I found out about his shop (friend recommendation). I strongly suggest you call for an appointment, he is busy for the right reasons. He reminds me of that commercial on TV: "Come to Perry's, we will fix what the other overpriced shops screwed up". And he does!

Admittedly, I haven't been here myself, but I recommended it to a friend based on its rave reviews. He reported to me that he had a great experience, and he has an amazing new 'do to show for it! Not only was it a quality cut (especially given how thick and unruly my friend's hair can be), but it was affordable too. When I'm in town next, I definitely plan on stopping in.

I've been getting my haircut here for the past 4 years only because I won't trust anyone else with my hair. Jerry and Perry are an absolute blast and they stand behind their service. I've only had to do this twice, but anything you don't like about your haircut within a week, they'll fix for free. I've only had to do it once or twice. Been going to see Perry for 5 years or so. Best service in town by far, in a land overflowing with barbers now days. He knows what he is doing and will keep you interested with witty banter. As well he offers great products that are inexpensive. Just wish he was open on weekends or later in the evenings given my work schedule.

Perry's is a great barbershop. He does a great job cutting hair and will give you whatever you ask for. He'll even offer advice if that's what your looking for. The shop is pretty small and you might miss it but it's worth looking for. The neck shave and massage when you're done are just icing on the cake. I will never go anywhere else for a haircut again.
