Best haircut I have ever had. This place is about 45 minutes from my home but it is the only place I will get my haircut now. They do a fantastic job. I always have Taylor cut my hair but all of them are really good at what they do.

My roommate told me about this place. I walked in with no appointment which meant I had a newer guy(Taylor ) take care of me. In some instances that could mean the quality isn't as good, but he was very good. Laid back atmosphere. Very professional and you can tell the workes take pride in their craft. This will be where I get my hair cut and beard trimmed from now on.

I've been a longtime customer of this barbershop, travel from park city 40mins just to get a haircut here and really admire their barbers and haircut not until 9/11 when the barber literally butchered my hair as he was cutting it for almost an hour. I told him i want the sides and back shaved faded 0-1. Even told him to not touch the front top cause i brush it up, told him to cust the top back part a lil short and showed him a picture to have a better understanding visually, Not sure if he was a beginner or just really not competent enough to be a part of this team. He does sounded like he knew what he was doing, thay he never let me face the mirror until the end result. So voila! To my disappointment i got so speechless and shocked. I don't know what kind of hairstyle he wants to achieve as it's completely out of control, uneven cuts everywhere, it's very ugly. The barber beside us can't even make sense about what he did to my hair, trying to figure out what to do or remedy for my hair but it's just too aweful. He himself dont know how to fix it as he immediately offer for me not to pay anymore. I reached out to the owner, but i guess he lacked empathy about what happened and didn't even offer any solution. Definitely not happy and won't be coming back.

Cutthroat puts their customers first!! They go out of their way to make you feel wanted at the shop. I always do my best to be on time, but they understand and are willing to work with me if I have to work late or something happens. They always try to start the appointment on time as well. Amazing and friendly environment. The great thing is that the owner makes sure he lets his customers know that they're the reason he is in business. This is why everyone that is a regular will stay loyal through the years. Shout out to everyone who works at the shop and makes it what it is.

Barber great. I was disrespected by owner walking in. The fellow was new tried to ask owner how to provide receipt, blew him off because still yapping on the phone. You could hear he was talking about nothing. Sad, ego smaller than his shop bigger than his pants. Never go back. He needs to learn. I tried to teach him. There is no hood in West Valley. Weak boy. Pay your bills and good luck. The simple barber makes more than your little boy dream.

My son had an awful experience with a different barber shop. So it took some coaxing to get a hair cut. We showed up and he was slightly nervous. But, as we waited he watched the other guys cutting hair. They ALL did awesome! I am picky about hair cuts and I love my son's hair cut. We will definitely be regulars. These guys are awesome! Definitely recommend them. We went to Vinny. He was great! $20 for an excellent hair cut.

Been waiting over 30 minutes for a haircut cut which wouldn’t bother but there have been barbers which have just been sitting in there barber chairs on there phones. Customer service in this barber shop is not at the standard of barbershops from the east coast. Barbershops o. The east coast would call this place a insult to REAL barbershops. Will never come back I would waste your time there. The’re may other barbershops a 1000 times better in the area and for a better price. NOT WORTH IT!

I am not the biggest fan of the music... but that's a very small price to pay for the service you get at Cutthroat. Dalton has cut my hair the last 2 times and I will keep coming back. It's hard to find a good Barber who not only can cut hair consistently, but also knows how to use a straight edge razor. I have had him shave my face and neck both times and it's always worth it. I definitely recommend the place.

My son and I finally found an AMAZING place for his haircut! This place is great! So I came to this barber shop because a friend of mine was telling me how great they are and he was just praising them. So I decided to go and I regret it. The guy who cut my hair really screwed it up. My lining is off. Dude took about 2 hours to cut my hair. Overall not worth it. Definitely not going back. Horrible experience, I called before going in and they said 20 - 30 minutes waited almost an 1hr 1/2 the haircut was not very good either the barber used clipper from Walmart and even though i told him what I wanted dude was not even paying attention you can tell those guys are just there for the money not for the customer, I go to another level barbershop much better, I expected more! Need a better process for walk-ins.

I love coming here and getting lined up. My only recommendation for 5 stars is that I’d like to be able to schedule a time with my preferred barber more easily. I do like that the shop is welcoming and courteous to new guests and scheduling barbers books full gives off the vibe that outsiders aren’t welcome. My last visit, I was paired with a different barber than my preferred (Via the sign in sheet) and she was extremely nice. However my fade was pretty simple, the barber next to the station had to help, and it took an hour to get in and out. Possibly incorporate appointments in the morning hours or introduce a system that allows the ability to be paired with our preferred barber.

I came into this shop not really knowing what to expect other than some pictures of haircuts but I saw a barber I follow on instagram works there so I'd figured I'd give it a shot. I had just left another shop who cut off half of my hair ruining my pompadour and not even tapering or lining me up (I've had a rough time in this city trying to find a barber who knows how to cut a pomp, not just says they do) ANYWAY, I ended up being a walk in and getting the guy I follow on social media, anyway. He absolutely rocked my haircut and got me back into a true pompadour fixing what the other shop destroyed. Huge thanks to Barber Dalton and everything I saw the other barbers doing while I got cut looked quality as well. Definitely recommend this shop. Don't let the "Cutthroat" name fool you, all smiles in that place.

Overall this is a great barbershop with an awesome atmosphere and fantastic barbers. While its more than you'd pay if you went to Great Clips or somewhere similar, the results and service are more than worth the price. I have had a haircut and beard trim here almost monthly for the last year and have never had a bad experience. Mixed feelings here. My wife had her entire head shaved here early 2018. We had a blast feeling "like one of the guys" and didn't feel out of place at all, definitely a 5 star experience, great service, great haircut, really looked forward to coming back. Although, we came in mid-August 2018. Cutthroat Barbershop was PACKED. The barbers seemed stressed by the amount of people in the building and there wasn't clear instructions or any greeting upon arrival. We did eventually sign-in and take seat. (There is very limited seating here) We waited for over an hour (please note we DID call ahead of time and were told that there was availability for walk-ins) without any communication from front desk staff, while being stared at the entire time by male patrons. Definitely felt out of place that time, I couldn't even look away from my phone I was so embarrassed. We ended up leaving and politely asked the front desk gentleman to take our name off the list. He acted like it happens all the time, but was kind. It's a shame, this place is really awesome for my wife's style - we might give it another go but we did end up getting her hair cut somewhere else.

I have been here a total of 4 times. I've only gotten my hair cut the right way twice. There is a barber there that charged me for a beard trim but I never recieved a beard trim. I asked for my side burns to blend with the beard. I hate it when I go get a haircut and they leave a hard line where your fade ends and your beard starts. So I asked to blend that area so it doesnt look stupid and I was charged a full beard trim price? Huh? Furthermore, i spent an hour in that chair explaining and even showing pictures of the haircut i wanted and the barber was too busy talking and trying to carry on a conversation with me instead of focusing on the haircut. I left that place with half of my hair longer than the other half. I comb the front of my hair up like a pompadour but shorter, I asked to leave it a bit longer than the rest of the hair. He cut it the shortest making that comb up, look extra stupid. I wasnt going to sit there any longer coaching him due to the fact I was very specific and he still tried to give me the wrong haircut. Not going back there again because two times out of 4 I got cut by a novice barber. I had a barber back home that didnt have a shop. Just a barber out of his garage that gave more care and incentive of the cut I wanted vs trying to get to know me the whole time. Unneccessary.

Me and my guy were visiting family and he decided to get a haircut and get his beard lined up. We found this place using yelp and I was really hesitant because I wasn't sure if they did black hair. We got there and all of the barbers were super friendly. He was a walk-in and they took him in about 5 min. Prices are clearly displayed on the wall and are VERY reasonable. The barber gave him a bald fade - it was perfect. The barber also cleaned his beard up on the bottom and put a nice oil on it (the barber also fluffed and combed out his beard which I thought was nice). I didn't mind waiting as they were playing really good music and had music videos. I would give them a five but I didn't actually get a service done. Hands Down!! Best Barber Shop in SLC UTAH!!! Make sure you guys go see Skylar or any of the guys there. Even though the wait time might be a Hour it is WORTH IT!!! Will not be disappointed with any of the guys cutting your hair.

Oh my! Where do I start...A bit embarrassed that I chose to sit and wait for my 15 year old to get his 1st barber shop experience (the music and videos were not my taste, but I wasn't their client base, I get it) ...that said, it was an amazing experience for my son! He was treated really well. Professional, gifted barbers doing amazing work! Wish they would have asked him if he wanted brows worked on with a blade (it looked too feminine for him and me), but other then that, we can't wait to go back! Oh prices are super reasonable for the high quality of work done ....don't ever want a SportsClip type place again for him

Great Experience!! Issy, Chave-the-chopper from the South Jordan location, took the time to give my son a wonderful haircut. He is not easy to work on due to some physical issues, but she was amazing!! I will definitely return to her in the future. Very cool shop!

We take our boys here and recently the hubby started going with Skylar. We always makes appts with him and he does everything to take care of them. He takes the time to use product and make sure their haircut is clean and lined up even. It's a great experience unlike other barbers who don't make conversation with you. This is the best place to get cut. My son and I go every two weeks and love it. They use straight razors to line you up and take their time. Whether it's the owner Mike or any one of his team cutting, you'll be happy. If you like to relax and get a good cut I would recommend go to cutthroat.

The stars tell the conclusion. The rest is why. I am not a typical barbershop customer. I like to keep my hair long, like on my shoulders long. The most difficult part of this is trying to find people who can shape the hair so it looks good at a longer length. Current trends and styles for men are for closely cropped hair. Fades, and sculpts are still in vogue even though the 90's ended long ago. But for most guys, spending a lot of time on hair care is not a big priority so a good wash and go is all they want to do. I am not that much different, I don't want to spend a lot of time on my hair, but I still like length. This means finding professionals who can cut the hair so it looks good and will be easier to manage. This is not an easy task. People who do this often charge upwards of 60 - 100 dollars. The problem is, I haven't had good results from them given the investment. Given the location and demographic of the area and the design of the shop, I was not certain I had the right place for me. But, the vibe of the place and the stylists there have a very out of the box quality. Enough for me to take the risk. What first surprised me was the total professionalism. The decor of the place is definitely street and the stylists match it well, but their treatment of you is total courtesy, kindness, and care. These guys are cool at multiple levels. The next thing was the consult I got. I was advised that my hair, big as it is makes my overall head look bigger and a slightly shorter length with a good removal of bulk would make a difference. "Can you do that with this hippie head?" "Absolutely." And they did. With the back raised. and the sides pretty much kept longer but cleaned, I walked out with a haircut that is shorter, but looks long. The time and attention to detail was great. I love it. But wait; there's more. I didn't go alone. My son came as well. His hair is longer than mine as well as thicker, which isn't easy to do. I think his stylist was newer as he called over others for advisement. At one time four other stylists were surrounding him like a scene from a university hospital with residents giving input. Maybe some would think that a worry. I thought their willingness to work to help each other so much was admirable; yet another cool marker. We left about an hour later both with the best haircuts we have had in many years. The cost for this: 20.00 not including the 5.00 tip I happily added for each of our haircuts. It was a bargain. I will grow out my hair for a while as will my son, but when we need it taken care of right, we know where we will return.
