Just moved to St George from Cali. Had the same barber for 6 years and I get my haircut bi-weekly so I was very hesitant to find a new barber and one that could cut black hair. Jeff does and great job every time. Both him and Sam always have great conversations and positive attitude. Love the place.

This is the type of experience every guy deserves when getting his hair cut, exceptional service at a fair price. Plus the atmosphere of the shop is truly one of a kind. My brothers and I were in town for a unexpected funeral and needed to clean up a bit. it was great to enjoy the atmosphere of the shop, shoot some pool and have great conversation to keep our minds of things. Anytime we're in town these guys have our business!

The Barbers of Green Gate are the most professional barbers I have ever visited. The shop is one of the most comfortable and relaxing places I've experienced. The service is professional and all about the customer in the chair. I would recommend either Sam or Jeff…both know what they are doing and truly care about the experience you receive. My boyfriend got his hair cut by Sam. He has African American type hair and so it was hard for him to find someone who could cut his hair. Green Gate Barbers were recommended to us. Sam didn't cut his hair, but rather just took a razor to his head and his lines are not even at all. If you can't cut African American hair, just be straight up and turn us away. We feel as though Sam didn't actually care for his hair nor WANT to do a great job. The whole time while cutting his hair, Sam kept asking us if we were LDS or believed in the Mormon church. Not sure if that had anything to do with how lackadaisical Sam was when cutting his hair, but that is unprofessional. We will not be returning to Barbers at Green Gate.

A great barber and place to relax for a few minutes while you get a cut or a shave. Sam is a great barber and attentive to detail and makes you feel welcomed in the shop, and since it by appointment there is no feel of being rushed since everyone else has appointments as well. Great gentleman's vibe to a unique barbershop. So much better than a quick in and out wanna be hair cut place. A neat place in downtown SG. I LOVED the old school barbershop feel. I told Jeff I missed that and will come back. Reminded me of being a kid. The smell of the shop was just right! Plus the haircut was perfect, and I'm annal!! I said a 2 on the sides. He said we don't use numbers. It's custom and we gage length by experience and know how. Good job boys. Hope they stay around!!!

My husband just had a beard trim and shave with Sam. He usually does this himself but I had him go in to a “professional” as we were having special pictures taken. The lines were just as wonky as if he had done it himself. For $40 I expected his beard to look perfect. What really compelled me to write this review wasn’t Sam’s work, though. Apparently he was making small talk with my husband and asking about where we’re from (totally fine and pleasant) but then proceeded to ask if we are citizens after hearing we are originally from other countries. It’s lucky for Barbers of Green Gate that my husband is too nice to say anything and that I wasn’t there to make a well-deserved scene. Hey, Sam, why don’t you focus on actually doing good work instead of asking racist, unprofessional questions? YES, we are citizens but that’s none of your damn business.

Jeff and Sam are the best barbers around. They are incredibly concerned about peoples well being, and making sure they get the best haircut possible. I would highly recommend anyone to go to these guys. In regards to Sharons recent comment, don't voluntarily give people personal information and then be offended when they ask about your personal information. A barber shop is a place where relationships are made, its not just a great clips or dollar cuts, its people who care about you and your haircut. These guys are trying to build relationships and cut hair. They are great at both!
