I actually had several good experiences getting my hair cut with Martin. On my last visit to V's another barber charged me 30 dollars just to take my beard off with clippers, which took about 20 seconds. I didn't get a shave or anything like that. I haven't been back since.

The lady I had cut my hair and trim my bearddid a horrible job. She left the right side of my beard longer than the left and left a patch of super long hair on the left side on the top on my head. I usually get a high and tight, #2 clippers on the side blend it in and short with the scissors on top. She couldn't do it correctly. The other barbers looked like they did great jobs in the two people they each finished.

This place used to be great but they had a big turnover or so it seems because I see a lot of new barbers. That wouldn't be an issue if they weren't so anxious to leave and turn customers away. This is the second time I go and it's an hour until closing and they request I come back because they've been there all day and need to leave to eat. If you're scheduled to work a shift, then work it and don't turn customers away an hour before closing! It's disappointing that there isn't a manager or someone there that isn't over seeing them turning customers away!

Vs is good. Nouri is great. Cut was skilled. Have old style razor clean up and trimming with hot steam towel finish. Atmosphere is great, TVs and coffee and drink offers. They are friendly to walk ins. Mouri worked me in. Definitely returning!

My experience at V's BarberShop has been great. My first time there, years ago, wasn't so great and i didn't go back. But since getting to know Martin as my barber and he came to work there, so i returned and don't regret it at all. Martin does an excellent job of listening to you, seeing what you need and what works for you. I like to get suggestions from a professional as to what would look good on me and he's not timid to offer suggestions. That's very much appreciated! I brought my son here who is 8yrs old to show him what a guys Barber shop was like the location is nice but the haircut was subpar it had lines like he had a bowl put on and cut around the ppl there seemed more interested in going home than cutting hair they say they close at 7pm but locked the doors at 6pm. Not to mention 20$ for a kids haircut is pretty high

First of all, I would like to say Chris did a great job with my haircut. I would recommend him to any perspective clients. He took his time and seemed to genuinely care about the job he was doing. The issue was that my appointment was with Pete, who didn't show up for work, didn't call ahead and let them know, and they couldn't get in touch with him until about 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled (it also didn't sound like this was the first time they'd had this issue with him). They were apologetic and they popped me right into Chris' chair, but I was somewhat surprised they didn't offer a discount or something to try and make Pete's no show right. The other clients in the establishment seemed to enjoy their experience. Hope this was just a fluke.

I asked for a high fade and I came as a walk in. I was ok with whoever was going to cut my hair and I thought it would be ok considering I used to go there when Martin used to cut hair there. But the lady I got, I wont mention her name on here. But it wasnt the best fade in the longest time that I've been getting fades. The lines are still visible as if the guidelines were left and not actually blended in properly. And she asked if i wanted a beard trim to which i said yes. It was a lineup with a razor and I was ok with that but in the end i was charged $60 dollars for a haircut that I'm not very comfortable wearing outside in public. I would have appreciated the heads up with the beard trim that I was getting was the "deluxe" version before I actually received it only to find out when I paid. I didnt say anything because it was already 7pm when it was done and I know the lady who cut my hair said it was her 2nd week and I didnt want to come off as a jerk but for a 30 dollar cut I would expect more. It's my birthday coming up and I planned on having dinner out but I'm just not comfortable with the hair cut so I guess I'll wear a hat to hide it. I hope the owner sees this and considers letting me have a fixer cut to smooth out the fade I got. I'd even pay 10 dollars with another barber in the shop just to have it fixed up before my birthday.

Great cut. The guys and ladies are real relaxed in there. Hot towels. Straight razors. All the old school stuff. The one downside I have experienced there was that twice I have made appointments and gotten there and been asked if I would give up my appointment to someone “who had been waiting for a long time”. The whole point of making appointments is so that you have a known amount of customers so that you can staff accordingly. So that you get it cut at a specific time. The whole point of allowing the customers who have an appointment go first is to encourage everyone to make appointments. If you don’t make an appointment.. then you wait!

Came in at 615/620 to get a line up for my 5 year old son. There was two barbers there, one black guy and one Hispanic lady. The guy tells me that they are close but the sign says they close at 7! I then mention that it’s just for my son and your sign says close at 7 but he begins to tell me that they stop taking customers at 630. I look at the time and it was 625 plus they had nobody else there. Smdh I’m not going back at all. Im very understanding and if they had 1or 2 other people waiting I would have understood but that wasn’t the case. This is my first ever bad review even any company so that should let you know how upset I am.

V's is exactly what you'd hope to find in a men's grooming shop. I was offered a drink by two different people as soon as I walked in, the ambiance is on point, they have plenty of reading material if for some reason you have to wait and there are TV's everywhere. All-in-all, this place is for real. I went to Tameka and she was awesome. I've had the same cut for about 15 years and she convinced me to switch up which wasn't an easy task. I got to say I love it---the more important item to note is that my wife loved it and approves entirely of Tameka's work. She's professional, easy to talk to and most improtantly, really good at what she does. Thanks for the great chop Tameka, see you in a couple weeks---Who Dat! Best, Dan

I was on visit to Houston for a wedding and needed a haircut on a short schedule. I found this place on Google maps and was hesitant as I walked in. The prices are a little high and I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a decent fade here. I bit the bullet and was kindly greeted by Allison. Allison was very nice and professional throughout the cut. I asked for a med hi fade with a hard part and a top trim. The haircut took about 30 min but the end result was awesome. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. For as much as they charge they sure don't keep their word. Here's what I mean. If you don't have an appointment you wait in line for your turn ( no issues there.. Normal process ), however that's not how it works here. I was second in-line and have been waiting for over an hour now just to get a trim and shave. Since I've been waiting 2 guys walked in who didn't have an appointment but were taken before the guy in front of me and myself. Note :One of the guys was even told he had to wait after myself and the other gentleman who is before me.Yet here we are still waiting. As if my time time and money doesn't matter. Ive never experienced such poor and terrible customer service. If you expect me to give you my business and will try and stop me when I say "I'm going elsewhere" then the least you can do is follow your own process.

Whenever I go to get my haircut I always make the journey to come to this Barber Shop for one of my favorite barbers, Master Barber Chris. He's knowledgeable on all types of hair from male to female of different races and sometimes I don't know what I want and I tell him "Whatever you think would look good" and he NEVER dissapoints, at least in my experiences. Sometimes it's just great to have a meaningful conversation wow you get the best cut you've ever had lol High Recommend him.

Extremely disappointed, anyone in this industry would understand what kind of robbery I got, please please explain to me since when is a bread shape up considered a full hair cut? Since when do barbershops charge to use a blade, every barbershop knows a shape up is done with both clippers & blade! I got charged a full $30 for a hair cut when I didn’t even get a hair cut I got a shape up! & I then I get charged $30 for using a blade so a total of $60 for a shape up not a hair cut!
