I came in just a bit before closing time a couple of nights ago and Skinny himself put me right in the chair and gave me a good haircut and friendly service in a nice clean shop. Glad to have a new old school barber close to my house and will be back to see those guys again.

Skinny’s is amazing! I have been to several different barbershops and my boys are never happy with the outcome. We were invited here by the Big brothers big sisters get ready for school event. The barbershop wanted to get the kids fresh for school. I said let me just give it a try and I’m so glad that I did. Both of my boys were completely satisfied and I can’t even begin to tell you how handsome they looked! It was so nice to see their face again! I really appreciate everything that they did here. They even sent them off with school supplies. I am so glad that I found this gem of a barbershop and I will definitely be going back! I get tears in my eyes as I’m writing this because I can’t even explain how amazing these guys are! Thank you!

Always friendly and always consistent. People like this place, so be sure and make an appointment because it gets busy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the website they chose to make appointments. It can be a bit tricky if you want to make an appointment for more than 1 person. Other than that, I highly recommend this place.

Awesome old school barber with adult root beer! Tyler was awesome and was on point with his fade game. Also got a hot towel shave that was well executed. Great place to have a chat while getting your hair cut. If you have not had a straight razor shave, do your self a favor and try it here

First time father-son visit to Skinny's and we are both extremely happy with our cuts, not to mention the friendly and professional service. Tasha and Stubbs made us feel welcome and took excellent care of us. Make an appointment if you need to get done quick, we got in just before a Saturday rush and the place was pretty full when we left. We'll be back again.

First time going to this place & Called in 1 hour ahead ,1 HOUR for my fiancé, we have a special occasion tonight and my fiancé calls me upset that not 1 barber greeted him , not offered anything. He tells me that a guy came in after him asks one of the barbers if they do walk ins , barber says yes and skips my fiancé . Keep in mind it’s his first time going into this place . 4.8 stars huh ? LOL NEVER AGAIN AND WILL RECOMMEND NOBODY TO GO IF YOU WANT BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

Always a pleasant experience. The staff are all very nice and professional. My hair is annoyingly curly, thin, and there's a ton of it. It is a nightmare to work with but these guys and gals always leave me with a sexy haircut. If they can make my hair look good they can make anyone look good. Edit: Oh and 25$ haircuts for the level of service they provide is a bargain.

Barbers are friendly and salon is always clean. Marcos is my barber and makes me look awesome everytime. I try to watch him style and copy his techniques with a comb and hair dryer but never can make it look half as nice as I look the day I sit in his chair.

Atmosphere is very welcoming and fun, has that olde time feel to it. Tiny "Not so Tiny" Ledesma is a master at his craft and an all around great conversationalist. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment and be on time to get your ears lowered in a proper fashion.

Skinny's gives a great haircut, no doubt. That's not what makes them special for me though. This is the first place in Austin I've found that can really trim and shape a large beard. Everywhere else I go that has branded themselves as a "barber shop" has not really been able to handle my beard, but Matt cleaned my beard up no problem. I look forward to coming back in the future.

I've been going to Bobby at Skinny's for the better part of a year. During that time, I changed up my usual cut a few times and he took great care in making sure my fades were fresh and even. I'm moving out of town, and my usual trips to get cleaned up at this shop will be sorely missed. Everyone at this neighborhood barber shop is awesome, great vibe to the place. They only care about appointments. Went there at lunch and nobody was even in there! I understand walks in wait.. But when you go to the backroom and chill for 20 mins so you don't have to cut before your appointment in rude and unprofessional. Waited for 30 mins for nothing. Then 3 more people come in with appointments so I have to wait even longer!!! I came here twice before and had a good experience but after that never again.
