I was at Red's next door and was trying to find a restroom to use so I popped in here to ask if I could use their restroom. The lady, although she let me use theirs, was very rude about it, saying she doesn't like giving 'handouts' and normally you should patronize a business if you want to use the bathroom. Maybe she was just having a bad day, and I can't speak about their haircut quality, but she seemed pretty abrasive and unpersonable.

Everything looked like it was straight from the 80’s including the broken down Coke machine and tape deck. No signs with prices. Rude surly service. Poor quality hair cut. The kicker? At the end she charged us $46...for one bad adult haircut and a 4 year old half haircut. Don’t waste your money here.

Was nearby and needed a haircut so I decided to go to a barber instead of sports clips. She was personable and did a great job on the cut. Asked tons of questions to make sure the cut would look exactly how I liked.

Quick stop on the way home. Was I surprised at what I got. Great service with a smile and personable conversation. Oh and let's not forget the haircut! Had to leave Katy and thought I would miss my old barber, Monica removed all doubt about that. Clean, simple men's cut and beyond. Older gentlemen will understand what I mean by that. I WILL be a returning customer!

We just moved here and after some searching I found this shop. It took a bit of navigation but it was worth the drive. Monica is truly an artisan at what she does. By the time I left I felt I had a new friend and an awesome barber. So far one of the best hidden gems in Austin. Thank you Monica :)

Worst haircut experience ever! After finding out my regular barbershop closes on Mondays, I referred to googles reviews for an immediate walk-in shop with great reviews. With having 30+ years of experience in the business, Monica, was the one whom cut my hair, which at the time I was confident in expecting a good result knowing this information. As she began asking for my cut preference, she started lecturing me about how her metal clippers measurements are when converted from the modern plastic ones when asked for how I'd like my hair cut. When seeing the results, it was NOTHING for what I had asked for! Extremely upset. The reason I didn't realize this sooner was because I wear glasses, so I cannot see without them. Monica also did not edge me up either when asked. I then had to remind her. After doing it poorly I just asked for the price. I was charged $23 dollars for a POOR haircut. I then immediately went to another barbershop to clean my cut. I was then charged another $15 dollars. Will never go back and now very cautious of Google reviews going forward.

Experienced, efficient, friendly, skillful barber. If you saw the award winning movie Boyhood, you may notice that this place was the barbershop scene. Plenty of free parking even though there are restaurants, a convenience store and a neighborhood bar in the shopping center.

Fantastic men's cuts. I grew up here in Austin and using Wooten's and other traditional barber shops. I moved to Dripping Springs 5 years ago and it was too much of a drive to get back to town for a cut. So I bounced around for a few years and got a lot of cuts I wish I hadn't. I dropped into Oak Hill about 2 years ago and I'm a customer for life.
