Just moved to the area and had to leave my faithful barber of 5 years. After visiting it's easy to see why this place has a 5 star rating. Why 5 stars? - The service was just top notch. I was kindly greeted by all the ladies in the shop. Although I was just an unscheduled walk-in, they put me in a chair right away. My barber did a heck of a good job on the hair cut, the service, and made the entire experience very enjoyable.

Every single staff member is fantastic. My kids have been getting their haircuts with Kim & Yvette since the very beginning, and wouldn’t let any other place (or ladies) else touch their hair. They are very attentive and dedicated to what they do.

Warning: not walk in friendly. I stopped by in the middle of the week in the late morning to get my son a haircut. I waited for 15-20 minutes without being greeted or taken my name to be placed in line. I don’t doubt the services are good when you get them but a little customer care would go a long way. I’ll have to stick with overpriced kids salons.

I have been to Barber281 several times now, and had my hair cut by 3 of the current barbers. All of them did a great job, listened, and gave me a great haircut. You get a cold beer, in a friendly atmosphere, and a quality professional haircut. I will be back!

Website said walk-ins welcome so I walked in, and was told that they were understaffed and they had zero openings. Okay, that’s cool, I get that. Following weekend, called at 0955 before they open at 10am to schedule, was told they were booked for the day and there were no openings. Is all of Bulverde, getting their haircut here? Just wanted to reassure any future customers to call or reserve a spot a month in advance if you want their services.
