The shop is nice but I have to say worse hair cut ever I walked in straight to the chair that was nice but 2 hrs for me and my one yr old come on did not fade my son's hair right I asked for a low fade I walked out with a high fade I always take care of my side burns and with no regard or even asking he starts trying to remove them so I pulled away and told him they stay I might go back but not with that guy a good barber asked step by step and offers a warm shave even more when I took off a five month old beard don't know his name but I know he said he was a seaman if you know a good barber there anyone please tell me to go to him

Says "Walk Ins Only". Nice to wait 2 hours and watch all the barbers friends walk right in and sit in their chair and be out in 30 minutes. My barber also spent a little over 10 minutes to cut my hair, no attention to detail. Very disappointed considering waiting so long. Rather go to Great Clips. Never going back.

Best barber shop in the IE. Thats the only reason why the wait is always so long however it's worth it and the results don't dissapoint! Its the only place I'll trust with my hair within a 30 mile radius. If you like having crappy hair and no friends or chicks, then Fantastic Sams or great clips is right for you!

Very interesting place here..staff seems friendly, I like the style and the fact they offer you a beer the second you walk in the door is unique, never had that happen lol..I'm not here for any of the barbers I'm seeing my normal lady Rosa who's normally at another shop..but I surely will recommend this place to my beer loving friends :)

Worst customer service and poorly managed. They claim to not take appointments on weekend's, I showed up on Sat morning and was third person on the list with four barbers working and was told that the people that came in 15 minutes after me were next because they had made appointments. The barbers are young and immature, they have loud and disrespectful conversations with no consideration to children and women in their shop. A disgrace to the community but a perfect place to be part of a mayhem environment.

Decent prices, good cuts as far as I can tell. Mine is a buzz cut so not much of an example, but the straight edge shave neck and beards if wished. I definitely like a couple of the guys better than others. They often offer a water or a beer while your waiting. A little update. I have been going here for a few years now. Always wait and always patient. I had been on duty for nearly a month straight and called for a favor to be able to make an appointment. I explained my situation that I did not have the option to sit and wait that day and why. Yet after years of going I was told they wouldn't make an exception for appointments. I will not be returning.

Last time I come here...uneven skin fade, barber went up too high on the back of my head so I was left with a balding effect...right before a big weekend too -_- my advice, take the time to drive to their Santa Ana shop, I never get done dirty there. What I get for trying something new I guess.

I waited over an hour to get my hair cut and the barber I had did a bad job. I should have seen it coming since the customer before me had an awful cut from the same barber. I spent a good half hour crying when I got home because of how much I hated it and ended up shaving my head the next morning. $21 for a bad hair cut

I've been going to this barber shop for a couple of years now. I don't go as often as I should but when I do get in for a cut, they do a great job. If you are looking for a place that is going to give you a great cut for cheap, this isn't that place. If you think that dropping $25 on a great cut is too expensive, you need to get your priorities straight and you don't belong in this shop anyway. Look dude, you get what you pay for. You want to look good, go here. Its that simple. You want to look like a slob or a dweeb, go to Great Clips or Fantastic Sam's. The choice is yours. I choose to look good. I choose American Barber Shop and you consider doing the same.

I was looking at the barber shops in the area on Google, and saw American Barber shop. I think to myself, "hell ya, that's where I want to go". Upon arriving, I'm asked how me and my son want my haircut. I tell them we want to full experience with warm cream, straight razor, leather belt, laughs, and all of that. They inform me that they dont use straight razors and that the three women working there no not have barber licenses, they are cosmetologists. Also, there is nothing American about the place. Three Hispanic women watching Hispanic tv charging barber shop prices and false advertising. My son said he wanted a hard part in his hair, he left without it. Partly because his lady didn't speak English. I had a women go behind her edge up on my forehead with her cheap clippers with a mens electric face razor with the three circle things and knock down the stubble I guess.....I had to run out of this place...biggest waste of 34 $ everrrrrr!!! And the TV I'm sure I'm sure is there to enhance the customers experience, and I can promise you me and my son dont want to watch novelas!!

This place is great. They cut hair really well. The lines are a bit long sometimes but its the best haircut in Corona and the staff is friendly and offers you a beer. Only place I'll go for my hair cutting needs.

Took my 16 yr old son in for a hair cut. He tells the barber he wants #3 guard on top and 11/2 for sides. The barber didn't use guards and did a cappy buzz. Crooked neck line and no clean up around face. My son paid $15 plus $5 tip=$20 for a buzz my son could have done himself. My husband took my son back and NOW he has the shortest hair fade. The barber charges $6.00 more for fade. That is some BS because he couldn't understand real clipper guard numbers, so you don't use any guard and do your own thing? OMG my son is in a Quinceanera this Sat and he looks like he is going to boot camp. That barber butchered all my sons waves. We have never had any problems before this SUCKS!

I show him the hair cut for my son and asked him to please not to do bowl cut! and that's exactly what he did! I asked him when I saw how much he was cutting, thinking he was mistaken, but he said no, is just that his hair is too long ! My son was crying all the way home. He is very upset. And the barber blame my son before I said anything he said, my son was moving to much and my son was falling asleep. Yes some are friendly but the one we got☹️

I have been going here for years, with mostly great service, but on my most recent visit all I asked for was a fade on the sides and back, but what I got was a strait cut all around. Many of the niceties that they usually provide were withheld, and to top it off I was up-charged at the register. While I have a pretty good history with these guys, I will not be coming back.

Has a nice atmosphere...but walk in and im told to put our names on the waiting list for me and my son which is reasonable, while waiting i noticed the barbers friends just walked in and didnt have to write their name on the "list" and get seated and hair cut immediately..in all ended spending a hour and a half waiting,didnt get a haircut for my son. It was a dissapontment and a waste of time, had high hopes.

I've been a A.B.S. customer for over 4 years. And I too have waited a little over an hour to be seated for a haircut for my boy and myself, but that is normal for a place who does a great job! As for those who are complaining when they say the barbers have "friends" coming in and being seated before other customers, keep in mind these are also customers who've made appointments ahead of time who know how busy this place can get! I too have made appointments and it does beat waiting around a 1/2 hour or more. I'll bet my money on that all the negative comments made here are from impatient first timers who expect to "Get in, sit down, and go!" In a perfect world that would be great! But its not. That's my personal experience and my opinion, also if you don't want to wait too long get there early, sign in, get your cut and enjoy the rest of your day! or make an appointment and later read comments left by the haters who'll call you a friend of the barber because they sat you down before all else who've been waiting LOL! These guys are great and the atmosphere here is awesome. Don't bash on this place and its staff because you didn't plan your day out right. -Juan

They take their time and do a good job which is why the lines are freaking crazy and they are expensive. You have to find a good time to go. Steer clear on Friday afternoons and anytime on Saturday or your looking at least an hour wait. My son and husband both like it here but it's a rare occasion that we will take the time and money to get it done at this Barber shop.
