It's peaceful (only one customer at a time - although he has an extra chair if you want a friend to come hang out) and is just a great easygoing guy to talk to. He also offers some whiskey to sip if you want to really relax while listening to jazz. Awesome place and I hope he stays in the area a long time!

If you look good you feel good and I truly left A Cut Of Jazz looking and feeling great! Francisco took the extra time to make sure it was done right; a real rarity these days in our hyper paced world. It was great to chill out, listen to some great jazz, and have a nice conversation while you get a haircut. Francisco is a real talent and has created a very unique and special shop that other shops just cannot match and could never replicate. It is just something you need to experience for yourself. I hadn't cut my hair for about 2 years, but when it was time to get clean cut again I had to track down Cisco. I'm loyal to my barbers and for a valid reason... It's hard to find a good one. This isn't GreatClips this is a REAL barber. I drove an hour away in rush hour to let this man cut my hair, now tell me why I would do that if I didn't think this was the best haircut this side of the Mississippi River... I wouldn't! Convenient, accomodating, clean, modern, location. Confusing to find, it's inside Salons by JC does not have a storefront, needs more advertising on the exterior. I thought I was walking into the teeth whitening shop sharing rental space in Salons by JC. There is a concierge/ receptionist when you walk in for all the business's. Francisco only has a Google number also confusing, almost didn't go in because I thought he was out of business and another salon had moved in. The concierge inside Salons by JC who I thought moved in and I was going to get my hair cut with said I was in the right location for A Cut of Jazz BS she phoned back and was able to squeeze me in a spot at the end of the day a couple hours later. I was provided a clean trim, good conversation, and felt happy to pay $30 for a mens haircut supporting a local individual in the community. Even though the wifi was on the fritz and the jazz he normally is playing was not there. Now that I know where this barber shop is I will return just don't be confused by Google/Apple maps, and the leave your name Google phone number thing, it's there and he does check your messages. I would recommend calling leaving your name for an appointment, or going online to book a spot, as he is a 1 chair barber by himself and you may have to wait a while if you try to walk in like I did. But Barnes & Noble, with Starbucks, Texadelphia, and PetCo are all right there if you do have to kill some time.
