Walk-ins not welcome. Will let you sit around for 15 minutes while one guy is cutting hair and another guy is on his phone before they tell you they have appointments and can't cut your hair. This was my second and my last attempt to try to get a hair cut here.

I took my 9 and 12 year old boys here this morning. The place is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. They have 4 or 5 barbers and all seem to be related to one another. They were very warm and welcoming and good with my kids. They recommended a style for the haircuts and showed the kids some photos. Both boys actually liked how they looked when it was done. Prices are fair at $19 each. There were a lot of regulars coming through which tells you the place is well established on Hilton Head.

Stopped in while on vacation for a haircut for a 7 year old boy and was welcomed quickly by the shop. Despite having a full house, the staff moved efficiently and we were in a chair quickly. The entire staff was friendly to my son and engaged him in conversation while we waited and during the cut, and we both were appreciative of the hospitality. The cut was exactly what we asked for and a great value for the time and attention to detail. As a bonus, the staff was quick to pop in a DVD that was best suited for a 7 year old and made the haircut painless :). Definitely stop in, we are so happy that we did!

I took my two sons ages 6 and 4 for haircuts today. First of all they loved looking at all of the stuff on the walls, watching the bird and riding the saddle. The staff turned a movie on for them as soon as we walked in. We didn't have an appointment and our wait was about ten minutes. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. They let me sit close to them so they were comfortable during the cuts and gave them candy afterwards. Most importantly the haircuts are amazing! I wish we lived here so I could bring them here for great cuts all the time. You can tell that they are all very experienced by watching them. At $19 it is a steal. I also love that it is a family business. I think there were at least 4 family members working. (Another review said it is cash only which I forgot to confirm but bring cash just in case or call to check.)

The family run business is the oldest barbershop on Hilton Head Island (30 yrs.). The hunting and fishing trophies hanging on the wall will keep you entertained during your short wait. Great place to get men's haircut. Only downfall is that it can be pretty busy. But they have 4 or 5 barbers so it's bareable and line moves reasonably quick. They only take cash or local checks. Haircut costs $19. They also take appointments.

I want to start this by saying I am extremely particular about my hair. This makes it very difficult for me to find I good barber that I return to regularly. I have tried several other barber shops in Bluffton, but have not cared for any of them. I found out about The Barber Shop by reading Google Reviews and was so impressed I decided to give them a try. I had a wonderful experience. I was warmly greeted when I walked in the door. I sat quietly and enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the place.They offered bottled water and hot coffee to those who wanted refreshments. And they had several televisions playing different channels. When my turn came I showed the barber a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and he did exactly what I asked. We chatted the entire time. It was a fun, interactive, and enjoyable experience. I felt comfortable and welcomed. Not to mention the prices were very fair. This place is relatively new to Bluffton, but they are a nice addition. I will be going back that is for sure.
