Only 3 girls know how to cut my hair out of all the girls.The others including managers have cut my hair so bad I’ve gone back more than once to get it fixed. And on top of being a nice regular customer the attitude of most workers and managers are of not enough care or finesse. I only go back because of the girls that actually know what their doing.

Asked for a 4 blended to a 2 the lady with purple hair did a #1 all the way around. Stay away these people shouldn't be allowed near clippers. My brother in law is crying thanks to your poor skills. The lady with purple hair needs to be fired. She argued with my brother and me about what needed to be done. Time to learn your lesson lady the customer is always right. Do you enjoy making children cry? Update Just talked with the manager of this location. Her response was "I talked with her about this and the problem with using numbers is the customer doesn't know what they mean and the measurements. " Please come in for free haircut coupons. That would be a no and don't talk down to me. Rudest manager that I've ever seen.

This has been my go to spot for a few months. The staff is always nice and the shop is clean. They're busy though so if you don't call in you'll likely had a longer than comfortable wait. They don't take appointments but you can give them a 30min head start. I usually spend about $26 with tip included.

My dad recently had his hair cut there and the lady rushed through the hair cut to get to one of her regular clients. When he came back in to get the rest of his hair cut, that she missed, she made him sit, and wait for her regular client to get done. After she was finished it turned out to be one of the worst haircuts he has ever had. Sport Clips kicks butt on this place, they were busy that day. He won't be making that mistake again.

Ally has been cutting hair for my Son and myself for a couple of years now. SHE IS THE BEST!!! I have never had a bad or even good haircut from her. They are always amazing! I'm not the only one. I know a few people that say they will never go to another place and that Ally is the super duper stylinist for miles!

Absolutely amazing place to get a haircut, I do recommend calling and asking about the wait. Also it wouldn't hurt to have a plan for your day like shopping or lunch so that if it is busy you can go take care of business instead of sitting. I like to move around. Sometimes you can sneak in if they have a long list of call ins but none are there. Josy pays a lot of attention to detail

I just want to say that I have been a customer of your establishment for over 10 years now. I live in Vancouver, WA and I work in Oregon City. That is why I come to that location. Furthermore, Samantha, is also one major reason why I come there. She knows how to cut ethnic Hair. Not only that but she takes her time and really wants to make her clients happy. She is very meticulous and patient with her clients. She is not only like that with me but I as you watch her she is that way with her other clients as well. I took my 2 boys here and the ladies were very friendly and patient! While I was paying another lady got popcorn for my kids. Definitely a kid friendly staff!

The only place I go on Oregon City. The staff is friendly and they always do a good job. My only complaint is that the wait times are way to long at times. I always call in but if they say there’s a half hour waitlist it’s probably more like an hour.

I'm giving this spot 4 stars because of the few good seeds that outshine the...not-so-good seeds working here. As far as haircuts go, this is the only place I go to since it's so close to home. I've had quite a few cuts that end up being a little bit choppy and uneven on the sides, but they are more than willing to correct it for free if you come back within 7 days from your last cut with them. As for the "not-so-good seeds" I mentioned, basically it comes down to customer service over the phone and sometimes in-store. When trying to reserve a spot on the list before coming in, I've had a lady speak to me as if I had said/done something to annoy her by calling in. Her tone of voice was very off-putting and this has happened more than once. I think I know who it is because when I am sitting inside and waiting for my turn she seems to be the only one in the place with a sour look on her face as if she's unhappy to be where she's at. Honestly, it's that and the sometimes choppy haircuts that brought this place down 1 star. Other than that, I'd recommend The Barbers in OC. Wait times after 4pm can be anywhere from 15-60 minutes any given day. So calling in is probably wise to do if you don't want to sit there for so long.

Went as a walk-in. 50 minutes later I left with no hair cut realizing the amount of time I had just wasted. For those who haven't been here, call in your appt. From what I saw in my 50 minutes of people viewing, if your name is down as calling in, it doesn't matter what time you come in you get priority (even over those who have been sitting there).

Do a good enough job but absolutely ridiculous wait times. I called in and the they said I would be seated in about an hour. Came in at 1 hour mark and still had to wait 45 more minutes. Hire more staff, expand your shop. This is not the first time this has happened to me and from looking at the reviews, I'm not the only one. Won't be back.

I get personalized service, but unless you have an hour and a half to spare, don't visit this "The Barbers". Cuts are fine, staff is somewhat friendly, but the last few times we've been it's just been painfully slow. Not crowded, just slow. Just watched one guy get a buzz cut for 45 minutes while the barber next to him is on her third client. Watched two people walk out during my wait. Our last time here unfortunately.

This was the biggest cluster ever. Went in and was told there would be a half hour wait. I left and came back 25 min. Later. Was told two people were in front of me. Sat down to wait and found out that three people who had called in earlier and were ridiculously late were able to get there hair cut in front of me. What a crock of s___! Start taking appt. Or just take walkins as they come in. What a waste of my time.

Got on the wait list around 345pm and waiting for over an hour because we were told 2 times that we were next. Finally after 5pm, another person asked how many more call-ins are ahead of us because people kept on walking in and getting their haircut before us. They then told us there are 5 more and we were about 2 hours out. What an awful experience waiting for over an hour, being told we are next twice, then to have more people go before us. Walked out, not going back.

Worst hair cut experience I’ve ever had. They have no clue how to cut hair and their clippers get extremely hot, so much so that I ended up with a burn on the top of my ear. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

They need to change the call in process. You shouldn’t be allowed to call in show up 30 minutes late and jump in front of waiting patrons(who’ve been sitting at the business for over an hour). It’s happened to me many times and it is wrong. It shouldn’t be difficult to figure out a way to cross people off a list if they aren’t there by a required time (or maybe 10 minutes late).. Change this practice and receive at least a 4 star review for giving waiting patrons a little bit of a priority boost!!! Maybe just take the call in out of the mix completely and let people know how many people are in the seats waiting, everyone would appreciate that much more that the current situation. Excellent haircuts overall and nice people.

Don’t get me wrong the service is great and the workers are friendly but they don’t listen. I’ve been going to barbers for a long time and EVERY TIME they mess up my hair. They don’t listen at all. This was my last time going here. They messed up my hair way to much and I’ve tried to give them another chance over and over again but I’m done.

Tired of coming here and having tons people show up after me and getting their haircut first with no explanation. Very frustrating to come in and see one person waiting ahead of me only to sit there completely ignored for over a hour while people are coming in and getting haircuts. They should do something to let you know they're appointments or that it's going to be a long wait.

I did try as John suggested and called in 30 min prior to showing up. Still had to wait 45 min on top of that. My time is worth a lot and the inability to make a reservation has ruined this place for me. Sure, allow walk ins, but why is it so hard to allow people to make reservations? So let me get this straight. 30 min prior to wanting a haircut, I have to call in. Then I have to show up and have to wait another 45 min. Then get a haircut that takes 20 min. So, this hair cut takes over an hour an a half of my time when all I want to do is show up when I am expected and pay and tip for your service. Disappointing.

Love this place. I had my hair cut by emma (i think thats her name) rather than assuming she understood what I wanted and starting to cut my hair and then ask if that was right she actually got her phone and looked up photos to make sure. 10 out of 10 haircut. I will be seeing you guys next time

This is my husbands place he likes to get his haircut. He usually only goes during the week and he says they are usually understaffed. This morning at 9:45 only 3 people working and a long wait. He had to leave because he didn't have enough time to wait. He loves some of the staff but hates the wait.

Tami is the absolute best barber in OC, hands down! I highly recommend this particular site. They are always friendly and professional. It's always busy- this is a big indicator of quality services. Check it out. Dont forget you can call ahead to be placed in the waiting list. This often cuts down on wait times.

There is a stylist there who came with rave reviews. Her name is Hanna. I went in to Hickock's downtown for a free consultation. Jim Hickock is the "stylist to the stars" in Portland, with a cost of $100.00 and up for a style. He said "I would not do anything different than her." She is excellent and a super person also. Barbers is fortunate, as she is Portland's best kept secret in affordable hair design. Signed...Not a buzzie or a baldy....I have hair....live with it.

Rolling the dice every time I go there maybe they'll cut my hair the way I ask maybe they won't. I went in and asked for a five on top and three on the sides I received a buzz cut. Probably the worst hair cut I've ever had. Well that was the last straw they've lost a customer.
