My go-to place for hair shortening. I may not have much left up there but it still grows and someone has to cut it. I choose to go see Dean at the bottom of the elevator to take care of it for me. Dean seems to always remember I like a #2 buzz and is a great conversationalist. He manages to appear interested in my ramblings about food and where my next vacation may be. Always gets my cut right and that’s the best part! Always friendly conversation and that includes other customers, why go anywhere else? See you a few weeks too late, Dean!

Great barber shop with wonderful old timey feel. Conversation with the guys waiting and the barbers and a really good haircut as well. Used to have a sign in the window, "we fix six dollar haircuts". Discount for retirees on weekdays. Not cheap- just good.

Haircuts cost $15, which seems a little lower than the normal rate for the area. The barber who cut my hair did an excellent job. Please note that they do not take credit or debit cards, so make sure you have cash on you.

1st visit to a barbershop in 15 years and was impressed! Typically i would go to the salons. Long waits for scheduled appointments no longer fit my schedule. So I decided to try Depot Barber Shop, they take walkins.Yes, I had to wait a few minutes, there is always someone in the chair. It was worth it! Dean was professional, experienced, and attentive to what i wanted. He did a fantastic job and even my wife complimented my hair. It's now my go to for a cut and cleanup.

I highly recommend Depot barber shop, it has a very laid back old school feel with very competitive prices. Dean is always engaged with his customers, and puts a lot of pride in his craft. I take a bus from Milwaukie to Oregon City just to go to this no-nonsense shop. It's worth the trip. At $15 a pop and a $5 tip, it's still less expensive than a typical Portland shop, and they don't foist unwanted whiskey and cigars on me. Good conversation, mostly older clientele.

This place may look like a hole-in-the wall, but it's a wonderful locally owned shop offering quality cuts and shaves at some of the best prices around. My husband is in the military, so he needs haircuts pretty often. We've been to a few places around but hadn't been impressed, either because they prices seemed too high or the haircuts haven't been good. The guys at Depot are friendly and professional, they really know their hair (men's hair, anyway). The location has a genuine barber shop feel, with folks talking about the latest news and gossip, not feeling like you're being rushed out of the chair to make room for the next customer. We will definitely be back!

This is a neat place, old school, kind of "hole in the wall" establishment. Pretty simple clipper-over-comb technique with some scissors mixed in. Older clientele, lots of talk, pictures of trains and old Oregon City on the wall. Pretty much a classic barber shop. Dean gives a good haircut too.

I took my 9 year old son here last weekend. My sons haircut is an inch on the back and an inch longer on the top. We waited and when a spot opened, he had a seat. The barber asked, "would you like a boys haircut." Red flags went up but gave him a second chance. He then asked the other barber if he'd like to 'tackle' this one. The other barber shook his head but then agreed. So we switch seats(not sure why I bothered at that point). I was hoping this guy would be less ignorant but he wasn't. He said in front of my child, "this is a pixie girls haircut." To insult a child like that is terrible. Instead of admitting they didn't know how to cut without an electric clipper, they choose to insult a child. I would not give them business. Singerhill barber is not far, and she does a wonderful job.

Good people and always pleasant conversation. The hours listed on Google are wrong. They’re open 9-5 Tues - Fri and 10 - 3:30 on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.

One star for the haircuts i.ll give the barbers that work there 5 stars for the customer service however i dont recommend this place at all especially if your hairstyle is unique and are from California both my boys were very disappointed with the haircuts plus my father-in-law that just wanted a basic cut his came out uneven. For being the best barber shop around town thumbs down from me and my family.. Some pictures from Depot Barber Shop my kids are so bummed out.
