This is a barber shop the way it should be. I've been getting my hair cut here for the past few months while I've been back in town. Curtis and Pearl are very friendly and talented in their craft. Whether you want a simple buzz or the latest trend, just about anyone can walk out of here with a good-looking haircut.

If I could give them a 0 I would, firstly, im very picky on how I like my weave done. I had a sew in weave done, and I absolutely hated it. the lady who did my hair rushed it and did NOT take her time! my braids were loose by the next week. she half way died my hair. my weave looked super stiff and not layed how I usually get it. then when it was time for me to pay she went ahead and gave herself a tip so I ended up paying more than what I was supposed to.. at that point there was no turning back and I just left. I was disappointed and will never go back. I cant say the same for everybody else that worked there.

They've the best pricing in Portland, are family owned (WITH SURVIVING MEMBERS), and are so friendly and sociable you couldn't possibly tell me you like another shop better. If you want it done right the first time do yourself the favor of going to the source first-it's local "the Portland way".

Kim, the owner, has been doing my hair since I was a little girl and have done an amazing job. I have natural hair and Kim has helped nourished my hair since I've damaged it when I was young. She has done highlights on me that looked beautiful in the summer. She has done waves and curls using professional tools and never left my hair damaged. I love the vibe of the salon and I also love another stylist Sylvia who does amazing styles. Kim and Sylvia are knowledgeable and open minded as well as accommodate to people's cultures and religion. Women and people can feel comfortable. Kim and Sylvia have a great connection with young women and is so fun to have conversations with. Kim has many years of experience and works with all hair types and I have referred her many times to my friends and family members. I would also like to add that she did my cousins hair for a wedding, who was 2 years old at the time and was super patient with her. The customer service is wonderful. Since I've been coming to Kim my hair has been getting much healthier and longer and if it wasn't for her, I don't think my hair would be where it is now. Forever be a loyal customer!
