I have been here 8 times, and my experience has been satisfactory 4 out of 8 times. The most recent three visits had me waiting over an hour, while customers who came in after me continued to be served first. I had to leave and come back three separate times because of this. It is very inconvenient that they don't use a sign in sheet or any system of keeping track of who is in line or how long the wait is. I have been skipped over in line by rude and impatient customers and ignored by staff so frequently now, that I had to speak up and say something. I have loyally come back to this place because I understand it gets busy and obviously they wouldn't intentionally ignore a returning customer (right?), so I have continued to give them a try.
However I must say, when I tried to explain to the staff what I've been experiencing lately, they didn't want to hear my thoughts and placed the blame on me for not keeping track of my place in line. I thought this was more than a little rude, since I have had no problem keeping track of my own place in line, in fact I am well aware of every time I've been cut, skipped, ignored, or dismissed in this shop even after trying to speak up about it. It's the staff who should put a little more effort into attending to their paying customers in a timely and respectful manner. A simple sign in sheet or white board is not that hard, and would solve this for everyone, not just me.
I must also say, after the staff dismissed my thoughts and feelings about having bad experiences in the shop, the person cutting my hair wanted to get me out quickly and did an incomplete job, leaving clumps of uncut hair on the back of my head, as well as conveniently forgetting to use the vacuum to clean off the trimmings, which makes me wonder if they did it on purpose just because I complained. This person didn't even try to get the trimmings off, they actually put gel into it with all the hair dust still still on me, so I was left with a disgusting sticky, itchy, messy, coating all down my neck and back.
I was originally very happy with this place, but after all of this, I feel like they have a personal problem with me for some reason, and I sadly can't get any good service. I would still love to continue to support my local businesses, but having such poor service makes me consider driving to Redmond just to get a haircut. None of your paying customers should be having this kind of experience. I hope this review will bring to your attention that this is happening to some of your patrons such as myself.
