Went to get my man's beard tamed. He felt a little apprehensive about the whole thing before we arrived, but it was a great experience! The shop has the comfortable, nostalgic, old-timey feeling of a classic American barbershop mixed with the look of a modern tattoo parlor. We had excellent, personal customer service from friendly barbers that were happy to chat it up with us and make us feel at ease. Definitely reccomend!

I've searched far and wide for a truly authentic and modern take on the classic barbershop experience. And although there are quite a few excellent shops out there, nothing from my experience compares to American Traditional located in downtown Eugene. With its vintage style, punk rock radio, and skilled stylists, this business absolutely nailed it. After an hour long cut and shape for both my head and beard, I literally had to double-take when I saw my receipt. The prices were just that good. The staff is incredibly friendly (can't stress that enough), with a good sense of humor and a very high skill set. The atmosphere is laid back and open, with plenty of comfortable seating, artwork, and/or magazines to browse. They also have a large selection of hair style and beard maintenance products, some of which are locally made and organic. All in all, I will certainly be returning business to this establishment. Five out of five stars.

I was in Oregon for my wedding and needed a quick clean up on my haircut and beard. I have my main Barber I've been going to for years back at home (Utah) and was very hesitant to go somewhere new AND before my wedding. I contacted the shop and had an appointment for the next day! The guy who cut my hair set it up in such a way that it looks clean and tapered well, and will grow in looking nice. Very friendly staff and good conversation. 5 star experience and reasonably priced. I will be going here and only here for my haircuts in Eugene!

Fantastic barber shop! Went in today 10/31 and saw Dutch, he did a beard trim and a straight razor shave on my entire head, he was meticulous and did a really great job and I would highly recommend him and the barber shop in general.

Had a haircut and beard trim done by Dutch. I had not gotten a haircut in about 3 months and was looking pretty shaggy and didnt have much direction to give him but he ran with it and gave me a great cut and style that I can use for the weddings I am in this summer. He also did an amazing beard trim and gave me some pointers on how I should be taking care of it. Will definitely be going back.

Read the great reviews, went to get a haircut as a walk-in. (Walk-in also being new business.) I arrived there were no other customers. There were two employees and no customers. I asked for a haircut and was told to make an appointment for 2-days later. When I asked why I couldn't just get a haircut now, I was informed they "had clients coming." I will state that the employees were polite, but I think it is a poor business practice to turn away new business like that.

Got a haircut and shave here a few months back, the scar on my face where the barber sliced my chin open is just starting to fade! The guy didn't even say sorry, charged me full price even after he had to stuff a handful of different creams and such in the open cut to stop the bleeding. Didn't even acknowledge the fact that he cut and scarred my face. Don't go here unless you have a beard.

Finally found a barbershop that i love! I’ve always bounced around to whatever is convenient with mixed results, but this shop is by far and away the best experience I have ever had! Ashley really took the time to ensure the quality of her work and the results exceeded my expectations. I didn’t feel like they were rushing me to get the next guy waiting, which was a change from other experiences. My son and i both got the best haircuts we’ve ever had, Brooklyn did an amazing job and my son can’t wait to go back. This was also the first place that I’ve entrusted to trim my beard and i was very happy with that too. Really can’t say enough good things about this place.

I got a great haircut here, there was a lot of attention to detail, which I really value a lot. Dutch did a great job, and I will be back. It's worth noting that I found this place after several recommendations from friends, after my usual person from my usual place moved out of the area.

Extremely professional ,in other areas I'm not quite sure. I suggest not being late and if you are going to be late calling in to inform them wont suffice .At the moods and whims the price could triple. Plus tip 15% is close to 50 bucks Barbershop is decorated nice .Cool surroundings very hilp without trying .Although the Best cuts in town! Brooklyn is a talented artist but moody a Taurus like myself. The cost of a cut is relative to the mood ! Ashley is also very talented all barbers are good at what they do especially moods .Offering beverages in a relaxed casual atmosphere worth the wait . Its okay if the customer waits but never let the barber wait. Book in advance .no walkins .good luck and spin the wheel of moods. Yes if say handsd's down its the best place here in Eugene for men.They also tend to beards trim shave with straight razor hot scented towels and great lotions hair tonics and beard tonics.
