If I could give a "0" rating, I would. I was in a couple of weeks ago, but wanted to wait to write the review until I cooled off a bit.
I was impatient and my usual stylist was booked out for a couple of weeks, so I read the reviews and scheduled my appointment.
I went in to get a lot of blonde in my hair to lighten it for the summer. I showed Holly a photo showing how much blonde I wanted to have added. She was really nice and after a couple of hours my hair was dried. I could hardly tell a difference, but Holly showed my some lighter areas and said that the lighting in their salon was just really bad, and that I'd noticed the highlights outside/elsewhere. So, I paid $130 for just highlights (which is $40 more than what Duncan Brothers charges) and tipped her $30.
I leave and try to look in my mirror, but the lighting must've been bad in my vehicle, too, so I thought I'd get a closer look at home. I'm on my way home and I stopped to get a bite to eat, which is when I notice that I wasn't given my card back. I call and call the salon (they never answer their phone, as they prefer text) so I text and text because it's the weekend, they're closed on Sundays and I don't use credit cards, which means I have no money if I don't get my card back. Never heard back, so I drove about 15 minutes back to the salon and no one is there. I continue to text and I finally get a text back after I arrive home (nearly an hour after I tried to contact them) and they have someone drop off my card off at the Starbucks next door.
Anyway, back to the hair. It was not bad lighting in the salon- you literally couldn't tell that anything was done to my hair- $160! That is 2-3 weeks worth of groceries. I even asked a co-worker a few days later and she said that she couldn't tell that I did anything either. He was astounded when I told her how much I spent. Holly knew dang well that it wasn't the lighting in the salon and should have never charged me that much.
Horrible experience- still makes me sick to my stomach.
