I’m not sure how you can have anything negative to say about Holy Moses. I’ve been twice and had a different person cut my hair each time. Both cuts were the best I’ve had and the whole staff is great. I used to think I knew what I was talking about when it came to my hair but my first visit with James seemed to change that thinking as he advised a very slight adjustment and he was right! Good cuts, good environment, good people.

Its $35 +tip the first time and then $5 +tip after that as long as you come back within 2 weeks from the last visit. An amazing value for such a quality barbershop.

I have been going to Holy Moses for over a year now, and despite my regular barber (James, who's my main man), I've had my haircut by many of the barbers and I've always been satisfied. This is a place to come early to, get some coffee (complimentary!), relax, and really talk to the barber about what you're looking for. If you have a specific look, come ready with photos or a description. I often like to go in with a vague idea and let the barber be a bit creative, because after all, they see a lot of haircuts and have a keener eye for what may look good for my hair type, face shape, and so forth.

Throughout the cut he explained what he was doing and why, while periodically quality-checking with me to confirm the haircut was to my liking. Holy Moses is top notch! I just got into the area and needed to find a new barber to go to. I am very particular about my hair and am always worried when I have to change barbers. Sam did not disappoint. He was extremely friendly, an awesome guy to converse with, and made sure my hair and beard were precisely the way I liked them. Holy Moses is a little costly, but the value you get is well worth it, which even includes a complimentary 2 week touch up appointment. I am very impressed with the level of quality and will absolutely be returning. If you do stop in, even if you can't have him cut your hair, have a chat with Sam. He's a real stand up guy who prides himself on service.

Based on their website and information I decided to go with James. I requested a mid fade and the tips of my curls cut, providing blade # I've had barber's use and instructions . He did an awesome job with the curls but the fade definetly left a lot to be desired, honestly I wouldn't consider it a fade at all. Asked him twice to fix things which still werent fixed to my liking but I gave up. It is partially my fault I guess for not confirming hes a licensed barber, as he said he couldn't do a lineup. After my noticeable displeasure he couldnt do a lineup, he asked Chad to help. Chad did great. Either way I had to go to another barber and get the fade fixed, the cut is not worth the pay one bit, but you could say the environment and location is. Perhaps next time I'll see if Chad's available, but for the moment I won't be recommending them at all.

Updating my review: Holy Moses continues to exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, my usual stylist was out sick today. With plenty of time before my appointment, I received calls and e-mails from Michelle to reschedule my appointment. Without any hesitation, the lady at the front task (sorry I forgot your name!) was able to squeeze me in with Andrew. My boyfriend got his hair cut here a few months ago and hasn't let anyone cut his hair in over 5 years choosing to do it himself. So he was super nervous so he was overly explaining what he wanted to his barber whose name I believe was Selena and she stood with him and let him explain in full detail until he was comfortable with her starting on his hair. She was friendly and patient with him; kept him engaged the whole time and overall I believe he had a good experience. His hair looked amazing and they have such a wide variety of barbers all unique with their own styles, all friendly, cool atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced. Will be back.

Been going for a couple years now after trying so many other chop shops around town. This place is fantastic. James is my go to guy, but when he’s booked up I still get a fantastic cut from any of the other artists. $40+ tip and you get a FREE cleanup 10-14 days after the cut. They have my business so long as they exist. Booking online is incredibly easy from your computer or smart phone. I don’t recommend trying walk ins. These guys are all pros and are booked up a day or more in advance.

Holy Moses is a fantastic barber and styling location that I am happy to have found. Whether you need a cut, a trim, or a new style altogether, the staff are friendly and resourceful, meaning your hair is going to be great as well. If you don't know what to try? Ask! They'll help you out. Call or walk-in (calling is probably best) and then grab a seat. They'll let you know when they're ready. While ostensibly a men's grooming salon, it doesn't try to play to "macho" or "gentlemenly" barber crowd. It's hip without being too loud about it, which is an attractive choice. Prices are market rate or slightly above, but the folks on clipper command there are well worth whatever you pay out. Remember to tip!

I have been here two times now (first time with Justin, and the second time - today, with James) and have left extremely happy both times. Justin was verrrrry detail oriented, and talked with me for about 20 minutes before we started about potential routes we could go (I had a few reference photos) and he very much cared about getting a cut that would match my look in general, and the structure of my face and all of that. Didn't know a haircut could be that detail oriented, but it made me feel so at ease as I have a hard time trusting my hair into insividuals. The end result was expected from how much he seemed to care about his craft and I left more than happy. I unfortunately didn't know my schedule coming up so I didn't rebook at the time, and he fills up pretty quick - so I was not able to get back with him for today's cut. Butttttt James - incredibly nice and welcoming dude. Makes you feel like you've known him for years and his general demeanor is infectious and optimistic. I used photos I took from my last haircut as the reference, he asked questions as we went, and he did his thing with confidence. I have a tendency to look at the cut as it's going to see if I like how it's looking, but from his demeanor and how fluid his motions were, I just sat back and let him do his craft. The end result was absolutely incredible. No changes were needed, and I left as happy as could be, and rebooked instantly. Even found new ways I could style it while I was home that I've never tried before, so he produced a very versatile cut. You get what you pay for here - absolute quality. I liked every cut I seen in the room, and everyone's professionalism and clear passion for their art shows. After years of unhappy haircuts, I have found a place that I no longer have to feel anxiety going to. Definitely will be coming back as long as they are still running!

I had an appointment with Sam, who greeted me, consulted on the haircut I was wanting, and got to work. By far, Sam has been one of the best barbers I've visited in Columbus. He is incredibly detail oriented, stopping at parts throughout the cut to explain his reasoning for what he was doing, and ensuring I liked the length we were at, and taking into account what I didn't currently like about what my hair was doing. Great conversation, incredibly friendly, and a wonderful stylist. He has a very keen eye for how the movement, flow and shape of the hair is for each client; both with regards to the current cut, and anticipating how it will grow out in the future. This guy knows his stuff. I felt very well taken care of, and will absolutely be coming back! They even offer a free 2-week clean up service which goes above and beyond the expected! This barbershop is very clean, cool concept. You will be taken care of start to finish and even while waiting! Rashelle is incredible and I absolutely recommend her to anyone needing a consistently amazing cut.

First let me start by saying the atmosphere was very nice and unique and everybody working was very pleasant and friendly. For the most part my stylist did an excellent job on my haircut, however he was cutting with what seems like dull Clippers and shears. This wasn't really unpleasant until getting home and realizing that I had a chunk of hair cut out on the side of my head revealing a decently sized bald spot. I'm sure under normal circumstances the stylist does a fantastic job, but as this being my first time at this location, and for the money paid for my haircut, I expected to not have a bald spot.

You walk into an amazing space and you're immediately greeted by a friendly person staffing the desk. Coffee, coke? It's offered to you before you sit down. I’ve had my hair cut by two of the stylists and the haircut is always spot on. I love that I can get my overgrown ear hair waxed off here and that they offer a free touch up two weeks after the cut. The decor is very minimalist hipster. The prices are a bit high for what it is. But at least the hair cut is reliably very good.

My son and I stopped in as we live down the street from this location and our original barber at another location had recently passed away. It initially looked like a nice atmosphere, but it turned out we couldn't get "booked-in" until three days later-the woman at the counter even laughed about this and it seemed like we weren't upscale enough to be there. I would only recommend this place to people who are welcome and/or fit into the bro bar crowd. Makes sense if this place was nicknamed, "Holy Douches."

First time and a bit disappointing. 15 minutes behind schedule but nobody let me know, just told me to wait. Supposedly free drinks but nobody offered. 15 minute haircut for $40 (feels like my person was trying to catch up with her schedule). And the even though they knew it was my first time, nobody informed me of the free clean up that others have posted about. Anyways — nice enough hair cut to get the second star. But overall disappointed in lackluster customer service for a premium price.
