Two barbers chatting and reading all 3 cell phones with customer, whose 2 boys were running around unsupervised. Hair and paper all over the floor around them. Several longsuffering customers waiting patiently to be noticed. Two barbers up front were working diligently. No idea if the haircuts are any good because after 15 minutes of watching the proceedings, my 88 year old father rose from the sofa and told me quietly he didn't wish to patronize the shop.

The verdict is still out on this ship. Great potential for sure. Location isn't the greatest. Some of the dudes here think they're pretty cool...haha...you're trying too hard bro. Had some good haircuts and some that were a bit off. I can standby some complaints that they do a poor job of tracking "who's next?" I'll go if I'm in the area but I won't go out of my way for them. May need to find that right barber.

Enjoy the shop, great barbers, just don’t get there at opening time because they are late to open often. The last three times I’ve been there at whatever time the sign says their suppose to open no one is there for at least 20 minutes.

Best barber cut in town. It’s more than the typical barber shop, while you wait your turn you can either play billiard, checkers, soccer table, or have a nice coffee. Staff is very nice. You can have an appointment during weekdays, or go without an appointment on Saturdays. It always get crowded, so going without appointment can be a long waiting if you are not lucky!

Both my son and I have been going here for years and never gotten a bad cut. My son is 3 and has very curly hair so it's difficult to work with, he has had his hair cut by several different barbers and they have all been great with him. Also the edging by straight razor is a nice touch.

The mellow, "man cave" vibe mixed with the camaraderie; combined with a great haircut and straight razor shave... you just can't beat it. It truly is the way for men for spoil themselves a little.

Always enjoy going to the shave shop. This isn't one of those barbers shops who try to get you in and out and onto the next one. They take their time and are very friendly. I enjoy the atmosphere of the place aswell. But my favorite part is the straight shave at the end of the haircut just to clean up the edges.

Great place to get a haircut. The lines can get a little long, and lots of parents bring their kids here, but that only demonstrates how popular the place is. You can easily make a reservation or plan to come when they're not busy. The guys always have a keg on tap, and last time they even offered free wings while you waited. Most importantly the attention to detail by these barbers is impressive, and all are pleasant to work with as a customer. I've never gotten a haircut that wasn't satisfactory, and they even gave me a old fashioned straight razor shave that looked and felt great. If you do have to wait, it is worth it, but you'll do so in comfort and style when you sit in their overstuffed plush leather chairs. It's even a good place to watch a game with the guys, play chess, or billiards.

The order/appointment system here is not working for this business. After sitting for 40 minutes, I simply had to walk out. Ambience is nice, but barbers seem to favor friends over new customers, which will keep new customers away. More barbers and a better "walk-in" system, where customers write their name down instead of going off an imperfect memory would solve this issue. This place has potential and the haircuts look nice, but my sub-par first experience will keep me from coming back.

Great place, great atmosphere, and great ambience. Billiards and dart board are exquisite touches in addition the comfy leather couches as well are great additions. Will most definitely be going back for a nice shave. Prices are on point and couldn't ask for more. Wish the location was in downtown Southern Pines instead but that's just personal preference on my end. Great job will be back in couple of days for another shave and perhaps a haircut since it will be needed in the next week or two anyways.

Big comfy chairs while you are waiting, old fashioned barber chairs that hark back to a time where the barbershop was the center of the community, skilled professionals who treat you as a valued patron and not a widget on an assembly line. I have waited to review the shop until I had a few visits experience, I have been tree times and it just gets better.

I have traveled a lot in my life, I lived in several places in US and Europe and I have never been in a place like this. The uplifting and vintage atmosphere of this place is unique. Live music, a billiard, darts, craft beer... is something you never expect in a barbershop. The professionals are also fast and accurate, always in an elegant outfit, matching the atmosphere of the place. The best of it is the price, only $17 for a haircut. Probably there is no better place in the US to have a haircut. We are very lucky to have them in this area!!! The place is so popular that you have to get an appointment in advance. Don't even think about walk-in if you are not ready to wait for an hour for an eventual free slot.
