Great place. I try to get the #1 guy if he's available (he knows who he is and he owes me a re-match bet on the next McGregor fight). But if he's jammed, which he usually is, I'll get a cut from whoever is next available, because they're all consistently good. I actually had one bad cut at this place too, my most recent one, but it was only bad relative to the others.

The most experienced personnel with great attitude and excellent customer service. Great value as well... You walk out of there knowing you just got the best haircut possible. The owner Yuri and his long term hairdresser Lana treat me like family. I've changed jobs a few years ago and it takes me 20 minutes to get there - I am happy to make the trip due to the excellent service I get there every time. Highly recommended!

As far as I'm concerned, there's only one metric that really matters when rating a barbershop. The quality of the haircut. I've gotten the best haircuts of my life at this place - so, five stars it is. I usually work with the same barber and the man is really an expert craftsman. It's a ridiculous convenience to be able to trust someone with a job and know that they're going to get it right every time. If you're considering checking this place out, here are a few tips: 1) Try more than one barber before settling on a regular, everyone is pretty decently skilled so I don't see much risk to this strategy. 2) There are definitely less busy times. When I'm able to, I show up during the less busy hours so that there's a zero wait time. If you're willing to go with anyone, than obviously this matters less, but if you have preferences this could save you a few minutes. 3) I usually call ahead to make sure the person I want is there (I come in from Queens and it's a bit of a trip) 4) You should already know this, but parking is a pain during the week. There are some meters an avenue down.

Though my hair is usually fairly simple to trim, over the years I've occasionally had difficulty the first time I try out a new place when it ends up being cropped too short. So while I've been fortunate to have a reliable cut in Los Angeles the past several years, I just had to return to New York to attend to some family matters. With such positive reviews and located only a few blocks away, this shop looked promising. All the more reason I discovered the typically modest New York storefront exterior actually belies a very spiffy but subtle interior that might otherwise suggest much higher prices. As would the thoroughly professional and efficient Ely who took just one look at my driver license and another photo before proceeding to match the desired look as satisfactorily as anyone I've found before. In other words, altogether lives up to the name with premium service and atmosphere but a great price and value!

Great people, great place sucky barber. Today I paid the most money for the worst haircut of my life!!! I usually don't write reviews for any place, let alone write anything negative. I was compelled to write something about this haircut. This barber literally butchered my hair. It's uneven! He cut one side so short that I can't even put gel on my hair anymore. The hair just stands up. When I told him about it, he started cutting them even shorter. Are you serious?! I didn't want to make a big deal or create a scene there bcuz its the holidays and I didn't wanna hurt anyone's feelings. Anyways, I'm so furious right now that I am shaking. There's absolutely nothing I can do with this hair except to wait for it to grow out. Right around the holidays. Thanks premium barbershop! Guess that's the first and the last time for me there.

I went during lunch, was asked if there was anyone specific that I want to cut my hair, I asked for Uri, who is the owner. Gave me probably one of the best hair cuts I have gotten since I came to NY. Very nice place, extremely fair and reasonable prices. Got a hair cut and bear trim and lineup, all was perfect and took only 40 mins. The barbers seem to be rude at first sight, but they are actually really nice guys (and two ladies). I like the haircut there! They are fast and accurate. (Well, my hairdo is very simple...). Uri is a third generation barber and his son also works in his shop, fantastic legacy and history. They can do any cut or style you want. I had an idea and a photo of how I wanted my hair to be faded, Uri needed only a quick look and he nailed it! Don’t mess around with fancy salon’s, you need a barber to get today’s cuts perfect. Always consistent good work. I depend on Yuri to keep my appearance up. I’ve stayed a loyal customer for about 6 years. Tip- Yuri does a great cover up of gray that leaves a little of it there so that you don’t look like a 1980’s newscaster. My own mother couldn’t tell.
