Update: Yan is now the owner. His employer retired and sold him the business. The business was renovated. I still go to Yan as my main hair guy. Yes, the price has risen slightly and I still give him a $5 tip. He does an excellent job for me.
Backstory: I was searching for a barber for many years - trying different ones at different price points. Eventually, I was introduced to Yan through a friend. In the years that I have gone to Yan, I sneakliy tried two other places, but ended up coming back. So back in June 2018, to my horror when I was passing by the shop taking my kids to school, the shop was closed and torn down. Oh, what a relieve. Yan (new owner) was renovating. For a split second, my mind was going on to where I can go get my next haricut. I was about two weeks away from my next trim.

Inside New York Beauty Salon is the home of New York Barber Shop. The two shares space. This is the place to go if you need a CHEAPLY Priced men's hair cut. Yan does a terrific job with my haircut. I have been coming here regularly for the past several years. I usually do a cut and wash. I like the hair massage I receive from YAN during the shampoo session. This place is not for you if you want to a high end men's salon.. The folk here speak Cantonese. Haircut is $7. Wash is $2 Extra. I pay $14 (yes, a $5 tip.) because the guy knows how to do it right. I am in and out. Hardly waiting. He is off on Wednesdays. The Owner is good also. I prefer YAN.
I have been coming here for over 5 years. I did switch once to try out another place, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle.
