Was taken as a walk in today during lunch... The guy quickly buzzed through the sides and back like I was getting my hair buzzed for boot camp. The rest of the haircut was alright.... Until he began to start edging everything with a buzzer. There must've been some metal burr / shaving on his buzzer because it felt like a tattoo needle was digging into my forehead/sideburns and left red marks everywhere. He didn't notice the red marks until I said something. Doubt I will be coming back here again.

I was in the city for a few days with my wife, we had dinner reservations at an upscale restaurant and I didn't have a chance to get to my regular barber before we left home. One night we walked by this barber shop and it looked like my kind of place. I'm very particular about my hair, but I decided to trust my gut and made an appointment with Adam for a haircut and beard trim. I was totally blown away by the level of service, my haircut and beard trim turned out just the way I like it and the hot towel was a nice touch. All the guys were very professional and friendly, I only wish I lived a little closer to the city so I could come here on a regular basis. Thanks again Adam.

Went for the first time on a Monday and had Adam for my barber. The guy knows what he's doing, no doubt about it. I told him what I usually get and he proposed some changes to update the look. Totally could've gotten what I usually get, but I trusted him. He's only at the Broadway location on Mondays, just as an FYI. I could tell he was visualizing the haircut in his mind before he was done. It's rare to find someone who can see a haircut before they even start cutting. He does an excellent fade, and is really good at blending layers. I will definitely be coming back next haircut! It ends with a nice eucalyptus hot towel on your neck which is a nice touch.

I've been struggling to find a new barber shop the last few months and walked past this location. From the street it looked like a pretty cool place so I used their easy online appointment app, randomly selected Adam and made an appointment. Adam was incredibly professional and meticulous and gave me the best haircut I have had in a long time. This guy is a real pro and knew what I wanted without me needing to provide much detail at all. The place is also immaculately clean and all of the barbers are friendly saying hi and bye to you as you come and go. This is definitely my new barber shop.

Everyone was nice and pleasant the place is fresh and clean, the barbers are great at cuts. However, this place is not worth a 31 a haircut. I would rate it at a $25. You might ask why, well first of all I have barbers that are way more skilled for a beard trim and cut for $15 (Made Man charges $60 for - which I would rate at $30-$40 based on location. On top of they don’t line up the cut with a razor (that is just absurd to me). The biggest thing that bothered me about the business is that the logo (brand) has a mustache and the beard trim is done with a machine trimmer no razor, no scissors. I asked the barber to keep the beard long from the bottom he did that, but when I asked him to clean trim the bottom to make it aligned he just trimmed it all off with a machine. These guys have top hair skills but overall the business model they make it perceived to be is, a lot less than it really is. So basically would never go to this place personally because I have beyond way better options. I hope this review helps in helping their business grow to where it really needs to be.

I've been coming to Made Man barber shop for a few years now and it has finally made its way uptown. This location is very cozy, located between broadway and 6th Ave. Adam is my favorite barber in the city, (he also cuts and colors women's hair) but their entire staff is great overall. Cut, shave, wash whatever you need they will provide. They've got great old school decor with talented barbers. All cuts end with a eucalyptus oil scented hot towel at the end. Very nice location and highly recommended.

Wow! Speeches, David fully met all my needs and desires. Went above and beyond on my medium taper fade. I love the shops atmosphere and how clean it is. Pricing perfect oh and they also do hot towels that sooth my soul. Go to David and you’ll see. Trust me I’ve been around this block. Also they have new chairs and everything

I have been a long time patron of the Made Man Barbershop, and I usually go to the 10 E 23rd location. Since the Broadway location opened, it has been ideal because it is easily accessible from any subway-line. More importantly, this new location has the same attention to detail and customer service ambiance compared to the other sites. Lastly, Adam does an exceptional job with cutting curly hair! I highly recommend this barbershop to all!

Just had my first cut with David. Outstanding. Told him what I generally like and wanted a bit of a change. He wasted no time, which I appreciate since it was lunch time in Midtown, and yet was very precise. Took his time with my beard and stache. Hot towel was great. Price was comparable to others in Manhattan.

Been struggling to find a good barber shop in NYC (which is surprising to be honest) but gave Made Man a chance. Adam killed it! In 20 minutes he gave me exactly the cut I asked for (one that other barbers around here have struggled with a bit). Adams the man, would highly recommend.

Adams really great especially if you have long and/or thicker/curlier hair because he's good with scissors and knows what to do. He also listens to what you want to do. They have all the best equipment too like razors. I went to this place a few summers ago as an intern and now that I live here I still come here.

Ask for Sasha, he is absolutely phenomenal. Sasha was the only guy in the entire shop on Sunday morning 1/13/19. He listened carefully to my preferences and concerns - the result was a fantastic haircut. I will definitely be returning to him next time I need a cut or shave. (This was the only barbershop in the area that didn't have a "horror story" every 4th or 5th review.) Gorgeous, brand new, clean barbershop. Thanks, Sasha!

The best barbershop I have been to I have really thick curly hair. I get it chemically relaxed here and it's so much easier to style and it is a huge time saver. I highly recommend this place to everyone and the barber Adam is the best you cant go wrong with him, but everyone there is still great as well.

I came here because this place looks so professional but that’s it. The one of the most unprofessional haircuts in my life. I can’t understand the owner, why when you investing such a big money in interior you taking beginners to do haircuts. Disappointed

Unfortunately, they did not respect my booking despite having a call with them 5 minutes before going. The person in charge was really unhelpful and rude, and told me this is "NYC", I'm not really sure what that means. Anyway, I would warn others not to go there.

Great location, not all the staff was on par with the main location on east 23rd...... except for Josh who is the man!!!!! I went in as a walk-in but he still took his time and did a great job.
