Anyone but the old guy can cut hair. He just chops away carelessly with out bothering. He tilted me back and just began cutting away. He even forgot to cut the top. Pretty unprofessional to just stop what you're doing consistently to watch TV and talk to other people. He even knew he didn't know what he was doing and had to consult it in Hebrew. The context is there that he messed up/clueless.

Let me start by saying that my haircut was decent. I had my first cut from grand cutters yesterday. I called in advance to get the pricing and confirmed that a full haircut is $20. When I walked in I confirmed my preferences with the barber and also confirmed it was $20. During the shaving part of my cut the gentlemen asked me again what I would like to do with my beard. I told him just the clippers is fine since I like a natural stubble. He proceeded to offer me the shave and then charged me $46 and mentioned that tips are preferable. They also charge a small fee for using credit cards. I just wish pricing was clarified in advance.

I might stop going to salons altogether. Zack, who is one of the barbers, knows what he is doing. He really is professional. Worst haircut ever!!! He did the wrong size so he had to go back and redo everything a smaller size, he left me a complete mess and refused to clean me up afterwards from all the hair he didn't brush or use a blow dryer, nothing, I asked him to do it he said no then at the end he charged me double and demanded I give a tip of at least $5 I ended up paying over $60 for a bad haircut it was a complete disastrous experience

The service at this barbershop is phenomenal. All of the barbers are excellent- even with children! They are kind and gentle with my little ones, and even let them use their personal phones to watch videos while getting their haircut. Zack in particular is amazing and so very patient. I had a great experience. Jonny did my cut and it turned out quite nice. He was friendly, listened to me and asked questions. I feel like this is one of the last 'real' barbershops in the Lower East Side that does a quality cut at a price that is reasonable. It's nice to see this when most places in Manhattan are doing $50-60 cuts and emphasizing interior design and cache more than the cut and conversation.

DON'T CUT HAIR IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO. I came in and they refused to give me the haircut I wanted-even though I KNOW which cut I need. Fantastic. $40-50 value haircut for $18. I’m new to the city and after trying out a couple more expensive places, I tried going to Grand Cutters and they have been cutting my hair ever since. Zack, the owner, listens to what you want done, gives you recommendations, and takes his time and cuts your hair with care. Super impressed with the work he does, especially for how reasonable it is. Recently revitalized, Zack has turned a small neighborhood barber into modern haircut shop. Although they've raised prices a little bit, it's still one of the most affordable places and best cuts you can get on the entire Lower East Side.
