I have been coming to George's 2 for a year and a half. I love this place. They are friendly, competent and efficient. Haircuts are fast but there is a lot of skill and attention to detail. They offer a good customer loyalty program with points redeemable for free products and haircuts. Haircuts are $16, the quality is there, and you are in and out quickly. My favorite barber is Alex but you can't go wrong with any of the guys there.

This is for all those who have curly and kinky hair that can't seem to find a barbershop that tends to their needs. George's 2 is the real deal! I truly enjoyed the ambiance of the barbershop and the quick pace at which they work, but also how considerate and detailed they are with each cut. After explaining the struggles with my Boricua naps, I got the CLEANEST taper and edge up from Nathan by recommendation of the owner, Ralph who was tending to another customer. Nathan was very kind, assured that even the length of my hair was exactly what I was looking for. They truly care for their customers and seek to assure that they are not only comfortable but getting a high quality cut for a solid price. I have been trying to find a barbershop, literally for this whole year (moved to Brooklyn back in February). I can finally say I found my shop.

Loved the cut Milana gave me. It's clear that this shop doesn't do a lot of short cuts on ladies, but when I decided to give it a shot and walked in, they took on the challenge in stride. The only advice I'd give us to learn a little more about styling on Black women, specifically. It was clear that everyone was familiar which with my hair texture, but as far as style, black women have a few distinctions to make them more feminine, like not usually razor edging, or emphasizing the temples. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised - the technicality and precision were on point! If you're going to get a part cut into your hair, make sure they use a comb and draw it on first - mine looked great!

First time going here and it won't be my last! Now, I won't boast about how awesome this place is (other reviews do a truthful job at that) but MARK is the man! The moment when he referred to his artistry as a Stylist with a Master Barber's License and a Cosmetology License, I knew I was in the hands of a person who loved their craft. They have an amazing reward program that can get you free haircuts or products. My only wish is to be able to make appointments in the future. I would love the comfort in knowing that I will see my barber when I need too. Zero complaints though. Staff was great, the vibe was chill and people obviously like this place and for good reason. Check this place out if you're looking for QUALITY at a low price. Seriously, I wouldn't have believed the hype had I not experienced it for myself.

Had a great experience from top-to-bottom! Joe spent his time making sure not a hair was out of place, but didn't take too long doing so. He made just enough conversation (I like to keep pretty quiet and relaxed while I get my hair cut), and he was a cool and good guy to boot! Offered a drink to top off the cut, and the haircut itself was bloody fantastic! I've finally found a place I will be able to come back to a second, third and fourth time! 10/10

This is THE spot to get a men's cut or shave. I and some other friends have been coming here for a while and they never do a bad job. It's an amazing price (~20 bucks) for a really quality cut. The space is small and to get cut by someone specific you should probably make an appointment. I usually go off-peak hours and so I don't wait, but it does get busy from time to time. Long story short -- this is my go to place to get a stress-free, high quality cut.

The barbers are friendly and very good at cutting hair. Also, the price for a regular hair cut is excellent compared to the other neighborhood barbers. They have a point system that will allow you to get a free hair cut once you reach I believe is set at 70 points.

I have been looking for a good barbershop in Park Sloke (Brooklyn) for 2 months and I have finally found this place! I got a beautiful haircut from this awesome guy called Harry which is really calm and makes a good job, professional! The boss (I guess) is a little rude, but doesn’t matter! If you go there ask for Harry, I come from Italy where the hairdressers are really high level comparate to the US. But this guy understood what I wanted and knew how to make it, without spending many words. Highly reccomended!

Went here for my first visit recently and was not disappointed. My barber was professional, fast and efficient. George's 2 Barber Shop offers an affordable variety of cuts/styles no matter the age. The only cons I can think to mention are the small space can tend to get crowded at peak hours, no appointments, and cash-only payment. But in my opinion these cons are the things that give this barber shop an authentic feel. Would recommend to anyone in the area in need of a haircut that won't break your wallet.

The haircut that I received was rushed and after leaving and looking at my hair I was surprised to see that one side of my head had significantly different lengths than the other side. I had to get another haircut the next day to fix it. George’s 2 has such good reviews so I’m surprised that I got a bad haircut. Maybe it’s a fluke. But I just want to post this so that others are aware and know to thoroughly review their hair before they leave.

George's 2 is an exceptional barber shop that I highly recommend. I got a haircut and a shave for $32 total ($16 for each), and I'm very happy with both. The level of service was very high. Wait time was very short (about 5 minutes) because they have several barbers working. My barber was excellent--great communicator, great advice-giver, etc. They offer drinks, beer, whiskey, etc. before and after your haircut. And I LOVED my haircut and shave. Great experience!

I guess it depends on the barber. Seeing all those good reviews I had my haircut here. I sat at the first counter, and it was definitely not the best communication experience I have had in a barbershop. The lady was not very patient either. When I got back home and washed my hair, it became clear that fast service does not always mean reliable technique. With 30 dollars (tips included) I should have gone to somewhere else, or maybe just some other barber at this place.

Lot of spots on 5th Ave but George's 2 is the best. If there's a line, there's a reason. The barbers are great and always do a good job. Joe is my man - you can tell he takes pride in his craft. That said, I've gotten my haircut by at least 3 different guys there and have never been disappointed.
