My hair was cut short to the right length but it wasn't styled correctly, so I just ended up with bad short hair. Sideburns weren't cut to the same length or even in a straight horizontal line. The aftershave wasn't one bit moisturizing and it left my skin very, very dry. Finally, I had a visible razor nick for almost a week. Only reason I'm giving two stars is cuz of the good service, convenient location and reasonable rates.

Love it for 15 years.They just moved around the corner to new location at 9 Avenue going south on the east side of the street , between 52nd and 51st Street. Once you go there for the first time, you will not be looking for another barber shop ever.

Avoid this place like the plague. I found out why it's reasonable rates and no wait. All the locals are smart enough to avoid this place. I personally went in for a straight razor shave, i usually get one every month, so I'm use to it. I've never in my life been cut so many times. Got back to my hotel room and I'm still bleeding. My opinion if your a tourist just wait till you can go back home and get a haircut.

Arhadiy is the Best!! I've been coming for years. I live in CT. I stop by before work. Dont need to mention the type of cut I want. All l need to do is come in, sit and he does all the work. Highly recommend!!!

Just got my hair cut here, first haircut in NYC. I was expecting to pay $25-$35 for a basic haircut (#2 clippers and blend with a scissor cut). It was $16. Yes, $16. And it was a nice haircut. Granted, the guy who cut my hair isn't someone I would probably want to hang with on the weekend, but who cares? I'll be coming here from now on..

They don't really care about giving you a good cut. In fact, the barber I had didn't seem like he wanted to be cutting hair, and the way he went about it suggested that he just wanted it over with asap. He had the most lackadaisical attitude I've seen in a barber. The haircut was shockingly short (perhaps 5 mins?) -- and it was done mostly using the buzzer. He must have literally made about 5 snips with the scissors. The whole demeanor with which the guy went about it made it very clear that all he was interested in was your money -- he wanted you out the door as quickly as possible. The haircut was quickly and sloppily done. They don't wash your hair or anything like that. You can get much better cuts elsewhere for the same price range. Don't go to this place...

I can't say how much I hate this place. It's not even cheap anymore ($20 for a 5 min cut and they still expect a 20% tip. Never going back cause there is always something wrong with the cut that I have to fix myself later in better lighting. BestBarber on 10th Ave is way better

I stopped in for an impromptu cut, which can be an adventure when trying a new barber. In this case, they were fast, efficient, friendly and executed a nice professional haircut. I recommend them and their services (FYI cut now $20).
