Came here yesterday for my son's first haircut because this is the only place in Albuquerque that could get MY haircut right, so i figured I'd trust them with my son. I should have turned around and walked out the minute the lady started treated me like the biggest inconvenience in her life. I showed her a picture of a little boys haircut and she kept asking me what exactly i wanted. Its a common boys haircut that I've gotten done on my other 2 boys, a million times. Never had anyone make it as complicated as she did. I suggested she didn't use clippers because he'd be squirming for all i knew, i never had his haircut so i really didn't know. But for a first haircut he was really calm and she still BUTCHERED his hair. I wonder if its because after her making me feel like she didn't want to cut his hair, it was her revenge for me asking her if there's someone more comfortable with kids, which she got COMPLETELY offended by and snarked back "oh i am comfortable with kids!!" REALLY? Because now his hair is crooked and choppy and looks nothing like a faux hawk. Im tempted to go back and demand that someone else fixes it but I'm scared it'll be the same outcome. I called today to see if they'll fix it and the lady asked who cut his hair. I told her "idk the lady's name but she was rude." She responded, "oh that was me." Lol wow, she must hear that a lot. I think style America needs to reconsider whoever does their hiring.

I dont even want to give you one star..the frist time i want my hair is uneven by 2 inches my bangs aren't what i wanted there thick and uneven and the second time i want back the manger didnt fix it my bangs are worse the middle is short and the end are longs and very uneven my hair is still off by 1 inch.dont go with tana she is lazy and did my haur awful

The reason I’m giving one star is that this place is always changing their staff. I mean the ones that actually cut your hair great stop working there and probably move to a better salon. I honestly think that the company should invest in their employees to get them up to date on latest hair cuts and techniques. Some staff is nice but others are bluntly rude.

Honestly I rate this a 10 star!!! This place was amazing!! Sonya Avila took care of me and made me feel like family! She took her time into my thick long hair and answered all questions I had. All other staff were friendly as well. Ive never let anyone do my hair before so I was a bit nervouse but im definitely coming back to this place. Thank you Style America!!!!! ❤❤❤

Here On A 3 Month Work Contract From Out Of State. Met Belinda at counter and set up an appointment for the following day. Being picky I requested a Master Stylist. Her response was that everyone there was a Master. While this may be true, I certainly believed otherwise. Belinda actually did my color with full highlights and understood exactly the look I was trying to achieve. Very pleased with the outcome and would not hesitate to use her again. Thanks Belinda!

Came in only because it was Sunday and none of my usual barber shops were open but to my surprise, my stylist was VERY attentive to detail and he took the extra time to really make sure things were as I wanted them and cut my hair with attention to detail. Would definitely go again, even though I normally wouldn't have.

I went to Style america about a month ago and they did an excellent job. I had went in there with the intent to get a perm but she let me know that my hair was too dry so she deep condtioned & trimmed it instead. She knew that I wanted to keep my hair long so she only trimmed the dead ends. I think her name was tessa and the other one I don't know her name.

Don't greet you when you walk in or sign you in you have to ask to be signed in and they talk more then they cut hair so wait times are long they overcharge for the quality of haircut. I would recommend this place

Sonia did my hair and now its orange and she did not do a good job at all paid 200 bucks for this crappy hair job, looks choppy the way she did it and my hair cut sucks. she gave me bangs and there are still long hairs coming down in front of my face

I was soon walking out with an upscale haircut minus the high price. Talented and professional staff. Very friendly and kind environment. So I went a few weeks ago to get a TRIM. I told the lady about the length of 4 fingers and it was enough because my hair was curly so I expected it to be a little shorter than that when dry. It was going to be about the length of my armpit when dry and that's what I wanted. So she kept cutting and cutting and I couldn't tell her anything because I was turned sideways . Then she turned me around to see my haircut. She cut it above my shoulders , way more than I had told her so it was too late now to say not that short. When my hair dries it about to my CHIN. The whole reason for the hair cut was so I can start my curly hair journey and go all natural , but right after the cut she put like 3 products in my hair. Also while she was cutting my hair she said "the good thing about cutting curly hair is that if they mess it up you won't notice because it's curly" & I didn't think much of it but then I got in the car and looked and even it curly , it looked uneven. So I went home and straightened it , and yes it was cut very uneven. Now my hair will not curl AT ALL. it just puffs up very big but no curl pattern anymore. I was very upset and do not recommend this place especially if you have curly hair because clearly she didn't know nothing about it. The lady was very nice and we even had a conversation but I'm just very upset that she really messed up my hair.

Upon walk-in I was not a knowledged by the woman cutting hair. I waited at the counter until another woman came out of the back who wasn’t very pleasant. She signed me in and asked me to take a seat and wait. Another walk in customer walks in 30 minutes after me and they start to cut her hair right away. I will not be returning.

How did Sonia even get her license for cosmetology ??? I asked for an ombré and got a choppy orange mess . Luckily I went somewhere else and they fixed it . & Sonia charged me almost $200 dollars for an ugly orange ombré and my hair turned green when she toned it . You clearly don’t know what you’re doing, you’re rude and unprofessional . No one waste your money here.

My receipt said Sandra was my stylist. My biggest complaint was that she brushed my hair with a hairbrush full of someone else's hair. I was in shock and disgusted. She also butcher my face frame. It was very, very uneven. I had to have someone else fix it.
