This Barber Shop is classified in the category of Barber shop.
I went here because a friend suggested it. I made an appointment with Hubert who was very patient with me as I kept advising and revising the haircut. While he let me take my time and tell him what to do the more I talked with him the more I realized that this is a barber that I could come in and ask him to lead the way. I think I spent an hour in the shop and walked out paying 40 plus tip for a haircut. Well worth the experience.
Christine was great!
Arrived at 815 waited for 45 mins to be 1st only to have them open doors to the front and several ppl got ahead of me. Very disappointed in customer service and definitely not happy w my haircut. I got a bad haircut elsewhere and it was already short just needed to be fixed and trimmed ended up being a 3 almost 4 hour disappointment. I live Rudy's but this is not how they do things at the other's this was terrible
Christina Hooper is the best barber in Seattle. Lines up hair just right
When I moved to NYC, I struggled trying to find a barber that would do a job that I really like. Until I booked with Tyler! Great barber, great conversation. The barbers are very friendly.
Always plenty of stylists on, need a haircut? Just go!
Good haircut with helpful staff. Walk ins usually not a long wait.
Not clean massy and trashy .
Clean, fun, professional, beautiful, pleasant, full of love and life! The hair specialists are very talented and attentive. We always cut with Tyler, but everybody there knows their trade very well.
The best stylists and amazing service!! Open late til 9pm everyday!!
Great haircuts with a hipster vibe, though a little inconsistent. Pro tip --- grab a delicious coffee from stumptown next door if you're waiting.
Love this place. Look for Shain! He is the best!
Super friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and squid! (Resident hilarious Chihuahua)
This place is awesome! Visiting from out of town and needed a quick buzz. It was so easy to book online and when I showed up - Tim was ready and waiting. He did a great job too. Thank you!!
If you find the right stylist this is great. But, really pricey!
I love this place. Great atmosphere, great service. I drive 35 minutes out if my way just to see Lacy. She's amazing.
Lacey does a great job every time. I only trust her with my fresh cuts.
$32 for man haircut!! t
I had my first haircut in NYC at Rudy's and it was good. I had Carina style my hair and was amazed by how gentle and neat she was with her work. I'm definitely coming here again!
Make sure that your stylist doesn't have her own hair style reflect the work she does on you ! Half shaved skull with Purple Hair should never be inflicted on a Grandpa !!!
I have always had great customer service at every Rudy's that I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. The personalities and cutting styles are different, but when you lean on the staff, they are always golden. I have seen many of their stylists, but I saw Kelcie most recently and she was incredibly patient and detail oriented. Great cut.
This is a chain. I got a haircut from the franchise in Seattle, beautiful experience, great haircut, great customer service. This place sucks. Walked in, had to get the attention of the woman behind the counter who was determined to pretend I didn't exist, and after I told her I wanted a haircut but didn't have an appointment, she, along with her elder supervisor, proceeded to pretend I didn't exist while I stood their waiting for anything, so much as a, "ok, we heard that you opened your mouth and said something." Nope.
Great atmosphere! Great music! Great stylist at an affordable price!
After years of going to crappy (and often overpriced) salons, I gave Rudy's a try and have never looked back. They employ fun, skilled barbers, and I always leave pleased with the result. Free lollipops, too, if you're good!
Rudy's is the original hipster barber shop in Seattle. With enough locations to cover most neighborhoods, including West Seattle, you're never too far away. They do walk-ins but online booking is a safer bet unless you have all the time in the world. Friends don't let friends go to hair salons!
Great cut
Just had the worst barbershop experience in 10 years. Got a buzz cut and a beard trim. Buzz cut = being stabbed with the trimmer in the head (having unevenly cut sides) and having my ear cut with the trimmer. Beard trim = cutting a piece of hair at a time and stopping to ask me "how does it look" every 15-30 seconds, I basically told the person how to cut my beard. $40 for both. Worst barbershop experience.
Consistent, good haircuts. Good value for the money.
I love me a Rudy's haircut. They keep me looking on point.
Michelle was amazing! Great conversation and personality.
A Good Barbershop Hindered by a Touch of Hipster Hubris I've been going to Rudy's for years. The addition of a West Seattle location is a long-overdue and welcome one. The new store is large, clean, equipped for large amounts of traffic, and fairly straightforward. They offer military buzz cuts, short trims, long trims, beard trims, and coloring services. Average price for a haircut is probably about $40 for most people. Their stylists do a good job working with kids, if that's a concern for you. Their prices aren't completely outrageous when compared to other mid-range to high-end barbershops, and the stylists are usually pretty friendly and straightforward people who aren't afraid of some cussing and frank conversation for those who welcome it. However, if I had a complaint (and what review is complete without that?) it would be that the seating is very minimal (and not terribly comfortable), the parking situation is not great, and there are only ever a handful of stylists working and you never know how long your "not an appointment" is going to take (despite the fact that the store has about a dozen chairs). For those who have never been to a Rudy's: you walk in and you get your haircut (seems simple); unless - of course - twenty other people called in ahead to put their name on "The List"; which is somehow different from an "appointment", I guess, somehow. In which case, you'll be sitting around for an hour, at least. Despite the weirdness with "The List", I definitely recommend Rudy's for just about anyone. Their stylists are knowledgable when it comes to hair products, and you'll probably come away from it looking good, even if you leave it up to the stylist to choose your hairstyle.
My barber is Michael and you will not have a more professional experience getting your hair maintenance services anywhere else. Rudy's is a welcoming space and they schedule appointments with sufficient time to ensure you are properly and timely (no waiting) served. If you are a busy discerning professional in NYC visit Rudy's and ask for Michael.
Fantastic cuts at a great price
It was a good haircut and a nice place but my haircut was 45$ I'm from upstate Poughkeepsie and a haircut there is like 15$ same quality.
Super cuts, great staff, and coffee next door.
Tyler does a sick fade. He's the best.
Not impressed! I came in looking to get a fade, what I ended up with was a uneven high and tight. Felt like my barber or I should say hair dresser more like it rushed through my haircut, left uneven hair on my head, did not "fade" the line and lined me up crooked in the front. If you want a basic high and tight and need it done in 10min this is your place, but if your looking for a skilled barber who takes their time and knows how to cut hair it's not this place.
Just had a great hair cut this morning from Taryn. She gave a really nice wash beforehand and was able to cut my hair exactly how I wanted, even though I'm never good at explaining it. She even had some other hair design ideas that she gave me to think about for next time. I enjoyed the conversation and the cut a lot. I will definitely be back.
Nathaniel is amazing! Great price for long haircut.
Good haircut. Pretty expensive.
Steep prices, but well worth it
Solid, well-priced haircuts in a pleasant environment.
Great cuts by Christina H. A little pricey but worth it.
Came in for a beard trim and Cleora was awesome! I've been to 4 different people at various shops in Seattle and she was hands down the best! She's the first person who not only asked me what I was wanting done, but actually listened and followed through.
Expensive. As in low value for the price.
My go-to for a haircut often. I have a usual stylist but everyone I've had has been phenomenal. Great vibe AND connected to a coffee shop.
Not really a barber shop, more of a salon using barber in its name so guys feel comfortable going there. Kind of spendy. Not quite salon pricing, but more than a traditional barber would charge. Quality is hit or miss depending on the stylist you get.
I stood in the entrance for a bit before a barber in a chair told me to go to the desk. I felt like I was interrupting everyone’s break upon entering. My barber was either bummed to have a customer or had communication issues. He gestured to a chair, so I sat in it. Then he just stared at me like I was an idiot and said, “No, your bag goes in that chair. You sit in THIS chair.” Um... okay. When he asked me what I wanted and I showed him, he’d “repeat” what I did with totally different hand placement. So I was like “No, that’s too low.” And he interrupted me and was like, “Look, we’re both saying the same thing different ways.” Eventually I just agreed, even though the fade was totally lower than I wanted, simply because I felt trapped and like I annoyed him. I tried to make conversation and be normal, and things lightened up. But it’s one of the more hostile haircuts I’ve ever gotten. He was so mad at me lol. I was like, “Did we go on a bad date once or something?” I just really felt like I messed up everyone’s day there. I go to Rudy’s in LA, where I live and... man is it a different experience. The haircut isn’t the worst though! So, silver linings, am i right?
Yo, Stephen at Rudy's one thing that he is nice at is cutting hair...FACTS!
Tori is the best!
Amanda is my barber and has been for the past 2 years. She does such an amazing job that I will be ruined for barbers when I move. Whatever you style of hair, she will make you look amazing. I can’t recommend her enough.
Good haircuts and great hours. Good atmosphere.
Had a shave here. Rushed, unfriendly service. Got back to the hotel and found patches of beard left, had to do it again myself. Cool looking place but useless, and with none of the charm or technique of a traditional barber. They don’t do the eyebrows, ears etc. Save yourself the €50 and go somewhere cheaper where they know what they’re doing.
Victor the cashier has a terrible attitude and is a little unorganized. Check to make sure your appointment is booked properly. Had to reschedule for another day after waiting for an hour. I came back in because a friend had recommended I get a cut with Mike. Amazing barber. The service at the register could still use a little improvement.
Great place to get a haircut. Most of the staff is friendly. A couple of the check out persons seem to be annoyed by you until it's time to check out...and give a tip.
Rachel was amazing! This is my new barbershop!
Tyler and Frederick are awesome!
Perfect place to get a quick haircut.
Last time I went here my hair was cut horribly and I don't really want to go back. The first time was fine and they did ok on my kids hair but cut it too short.
Worst haircut I've ever had!! First they decided one of the employee's wouldn't take my haircut then it took 45 min for the haircut and i had to tell him to fix my hair where he didn't see
(Translated by Google) Holiday in NYC and the barber was great, I love my new color, thanks! on holidays in ncy, the barber was great, i love my new color! thank you for the special price: D! (Original) urlaub in nyc und der Friseur war großartig, ich liebe meine neue Farbe, danke ! on holidays in ncy, the barber was great, i love my new colour! thank you for the special price :D!
Funky place. Nice staff. Good haircut.
Great service week after week. Highly recommend Cleora for a great shave.
Ask for KC for a great haircut!
3rd time going and it's a good hair cut every time. Rufina cut my hair this time and she did a really good job.
I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes as a walk-in, friendly staff for the most part, usually get a good cut (beware of Autumn), music is good.
My go-to for haircuts. Best to make an appointment but they can take walk-ins.
Pamela is amazing! It's so hard to find a go-to barbershop here in the city. But, I think I finally found a place to call home.
All depends on who you get. I've had great, decent and bad haircuts. But price is right. Lesson: find someone there that you like, then make reservations.
Pretty cool place for a haircut.
Consistently late and disrespectful of my time. I liked my haircuts so I kept returning after repeated tardiness, but this 3rd time at 25 minutes past appointment was too much. Worse: they called me to say my barber would be late, told me it would only be a 5 minute delay, and left me sitting on their bench inside until I excused myself 20 minutes later. Be upfront and have me reschedule. Finding a new barber sucks. Save yourself the trouble and start by looking elsewhere.
Great space. Pam is awesome.
Aint going to any other barbershop after going here. Everyone friendly. Clean slick place
Dialed in my beard for $10 and where polite and conversational while they did it. I don't go there for haircuts anymore though... $32 for a men's cut us just crazy to me...
Bad people they do not are going to help you .
Cristina. Great cut, nice chat, and the best part is when she looks at you with that look and tells you all sexy... Done, get out of here. Momma Mia!!! Thank you, Cristina. You are the bomb.
Had 2 cuts here, one was done according to direction and the other.... she went rogue. I won’t try it again.
Bad service, no thanks.
Always a quick and solid beard trim and hair cut.
Pretty hit or miss, kind of a drag with appointments.
Malibu did an amazing job, been years since I have been to a barber, and I'll be back to this one.
Great staff and good looking hair cuts
Terrible haircut for the price- 52 bucks for this? I’ve gotten better haircuts for 20 bucks in bushwick. Took way too much off the top despite my request, uneven fade, leaving way too much in the back and taking way too much off the front. Pedro was nice enough but curt and dismissive. If I’m gonna pay this much, I should get a killer haircut
I've been looking for a new barber for about a year, bouncing between a couple of spots in the UES where I used to live and Chelsea where I live now but never quite finding what I'm looking for. Wife and I were on a walk this prior weekend and walked past the barbershop and I flagged it to check out later. I'm glad I did. The place has this industrial modern feel and a cool vibe to it - only improvement was that the music could be better setup as it was running off one of the barbers phones. I didn't have an appointment but was able to get a cut right away, very relaxing and not rushed at all. Noah did great work, love the cut and am glad that I've found such a great spot so close to home. I'll be back again.
Love Christina she is great very relaxed, listens, calm. I always fall asleep. Shampoos and conditions after. Highly recommend
This has been my barbershop for the last few years and I've been consistently happy with them. Over that period of time, I've had a few different stylists and all were good. Julia has been my go to for the last year and a half and she is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended! The location itself is very relaxed and laid back. The people who work here have a very calm demeanor, which really puts you at ease from the moment you walk in. I've never had to wait when showing up for an appointment, which is great for those of us in a hurry. Booking online is easy as well.
Both times I’ve been here it’s been lousy despite me showing photos and detailed descriptions of what I want. It seems overpriced.
A friendly staff that dispenses great haircuts at completely reasonable prices. I often take advantage of their online appointment booking.
Nicole is an awesome stylist!
The cut looks fine... but was EXACTLY opposite of what I asked for. Don't cut things short when you say you're growing it out don't cut that.
since i have been getting my haircuts with concetta, people constantly compliment me on how great it looks
Terrible haircut for the price- 52 bucks for this? I’ve gotten better haircuts for 20 bucks in bushwick. Been looking for a new barbershop and didn't want to pay $50 for a buzz. Rudy's (and specifically KC) delivered. Very friendly place. Great haircut. Happy to have found a new barbershop!
Joe is your man!
Meghan is the Best!
Im a California resident going to rudys barbershop was a great experience for me i went in a few weeks ago and i was treated with care and the full shabang nothing against the barbershop but ive noticed alot of ingrown hairs and pimples aswell i get a haircut every 2 to 3 weeks so i dont think its my head please desinfect your materials thats all.
Tyler rocks my world and my hair each and every time.
Ally is the best! Great cut and friendly...
Okay place for a haircut. More stylist salon than barber shop. If you're looking for a warm shaving cream with straight razor style of babershop experience then this is not it. Had to do some retouching at home. It's a good cut for $20, but not for $40.
Great atmosphere, solid barber shop. But I would suggest to try out a few people before you settle on a "regular". Lots of different styles so make sure you find the right one that fits what you need.
Heather is the best! Very cool place for a craft cut.
Wonderful trendy saloon with awesome people. Ask for Deanna. Just one of the many Stylist.
Vlad was amazing. He cut my hair and it was perfect.
Expensive for nothing

I buy the Rudy's 1,2 3, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel here. They have a fairly good range of products available.
Excellent service, great advice, professional workers. My wife loves the cut too.
Over priced, but typical for the area.
Incredible service, amazing staff, and beyond impressed with the whole experience. We will DEFINITELY be returning! ♡
Rude.
Staff and stylist already friendly and never had a bad cut
Liz is the best. I’m VERY particular about what I want done and she delivered. Will return.
Vlad did a great job on my haircut and beard trim. They have excellent beard products. I highly recommend this barbershop. @heymannicebeard
Love Christina she is great very relaxed, listens, calm. I always fall asleep. Shampoos and conditions after. Highly recommend
Karen did a great job on my hair and beard. Ill definitely be back again
Super staff.
After my last 2 cuts at Rudy's, I'm changing my review from 4 stars to 2. The attitude issues I mentioned previously have been resolved. They have two really nice front desk people now. However, the reliably good haircuts are gone. Both of the last 2 cuts I've had there have required trips back a couple days later to fix mistakes. The last cut I had there was a buzz, but, because she used a pair of scissors too, I had to pay the cut price. That aside, the consistent messing up of my hair means I won't be back. Original review: Reliably good, sometimes great, haircuts. Inconsistent attitude, sometimes friendly and sometimes cold. It's a good resource in midtown, and close to my office, but I still might go down to Decatur and Sons when I want a haircut with a guaranteed good vibe.
Very Expensive
The best hair styles in town
Clean, super friendly staff with years of experience. Thank you Julie for cleaning up my long hair! The Invisible Cream is super handy on the go!
Best cut I've ever had from Jessie! Very detail oriented. Highly recommend this shop!
I love my haircut! Ali did a great job.

Good~~~
Not liking the 'call ahead' thing. Just move to an appt system. I don't live near a Rudy's, but have been a dedicated bi-weekly customer for about 4 years. Now I regularly have a 1-1/2 to 2 hour wait.
Great place for a beard trim!
Never had a haircut so great.
Love Christina Hooper
Amazing! Experience is pure old school barbershop with new school vibe. Great playlist. Not going to share my hairdressers name; did too good a job, might be over booked next month ;)
The best thing about Rudy’s is the consistency. I have been going for about a year and whoever cuts my hair does a great job. No matter who you work with, you’re guaranteed a good communicator who works with you to find a style that you’ll love. That being said, Malibu is who you should work with.
Great haircut at reasonable prices in a convenient location.
Great haircut, great staff.
Rudy's is the jam.
Only went for a clipper shave, but well done. Open later than most nearby shops.
Great place, great price, amazing team, talented and friendly. Thanks for my haircut!
This place is extremely high quality. Tyler is my guy, I've never gotten better haircuts than i have from him.
This place is great. I cannot remember my barber lady name, but she is awsome. She is from Nashville, Tennessee and gave me the best fade ever. I received a great fade from a beautiful lady. What else could a guy ask for?
Good service!
Let there be no doubt, the hairdressers of Rudy's will cut you! But that cut will be accompanied with pleasant, witty chatter and an excellent hairdo. This shop has particularly excellent service and you probably won't have to wait if you're a walk in customer. Don't overlook the amazing coffee nextdoor at Realfine, which is equally amazing.
Good cuts, pricey for a "barbershop"
Was visiting New York and just had happened to need a haircut while I was there. Just happened to wonder in, and got an excellent haircut and beard trim from Conchetta (sorry if it’s spelled wrong )!
I had a style that I liked but it had grown out and I wanted a corrective color and I thought Izzy gave me the coolest looking blond with an additional color ever..And did not force me to over trim..Lots of compliments on the skill and clean lines of the color..And I liked squid the Chihuahua as well.
The best.
Hair is on fleek
Hands down best haircut ever!!! Do yourself a favor and go see CAMI. She is super sweet and friendly, She takes her time to make sure your hair is perfect. She will ask you about your style and cut your hair to make it want to lay in place. You will be happy
Got a great hair cut, no wait.
Great services for men and women, fantastic atmosphere.
Saturday, November 17, 2018 Took my elderly uncle for a hot shave, something he had not experienced since 1989. I’m a Seattle Native and barbershop’s back in the day were chill, relaxing environments. Rudy’s is not that: music selection is jumping and too loud. Pace is jumping too. Cement floors are “chill” though. Hot shave was fantastic, but the noise prevented my uncle from relaxing. I grew up with Jimi but this establishment is far from hip.
Really nice hip atmosphere in the flat iron district. I had James style my hair and was very happy with it. Staff is also friendly.
Good spot good stylists interesting music. Lots of chairs but still can be a wait for walk-ins, better to book ahead online/phone.
Great place, great price, amazing team, talented and friendly. Thanks for my haircut!
The stylists here are consistently friendly and give great haircuts. It’s a bit pricey but the quality is way better than the other chain shops so I think it’s worth the premium.
Expensive and not super great quality cuts but the staff is friendly
Worse barbershop experience ever. How do you call yourself a barbershop and can't use a straight razor! Never again, waist of money.
One of the best cuts ever and the coffee shop serves great espresso and they use Black Scottie chai concentrate.
Great and easy accessible location, friendly staff, ample free parking. Walls are still pretty bare but I'm sure that will come with time. I'm glad it's staffed with tried and true hair stylists from other neighborhood Rudy's!
Your experience will vary wildly depending on who you're seen by. They can all handle a buzz or a fade just fine, but if you're looking for color or a decent women's cut, be careful who you pick.
Great service and you can book online with an account. Would be great to have pics of the stylists as I usually forget the name of the person I last saw. Coffeeshop next door is great.
Wasn't my cup of tea. Very popular place and I am sure good servoc
I don’t have a regular person here that cuts my hair because they are all that good. I’ve never had a bad haircut here!
Tyler.
Behind the what you
I've been looking for a good barber for a very long time. This place never disappoints. The cost is reasonable (for a more fancy barber shop), and the staff are nice and quite helpful.
Very high price range for a bad and rushed cut. Wouldn't pay 20, let alone 60, for that quality
Insanely overpriced by any standards, Rudy's is just a regular no-frills barber shop that charges $50 for mediocre men's haircuts. I have gotten my haircut here a couple times and have never had a good experience. The first time I was left with an uneven cut, the next time they used clippers on my sides and didn't even wash my hair (professionals in that price range will use scissors and wash your hair). My final straw came when my barber decided not to show up for work, and Rudy's made me wait 15 minutes past my appointment to finally be turned away.
So overpriced
Very solid.
What. A. Time. I wasn't happy with the experience at my previous NYC barbershop and was so intrigued when I walked by Rudy's- the storefront, which is a few steps below sidewalk level, is understated but welcoming. Liz was super fun to talk to and helped me choose (and achieve) a handsome handsome hairstyle. The overall vibe is casual and friendly, and the staff is very attentive. They've got lollipops and temporary tattoos. Very fun, highest marks, will return.
They get my haircut right, every single time. I had issues with every other place I hit up in West Seattle, and Rudy's was the best in all ways: cost, atmosphere, stylists, and a little connected coffee place. Since I moved to West Seattle, I don't get my haircut done anywhere else.
There are better shops there are worse
This place is extremely high quality. Tyler is my guy, I've never gotten better haircuts than i have from him.
This place is great. I cannot remember my barber lady name, but she is awsome. She is from Nashville, Tennessee and gave me the best fade ever. I received a great fade from a beautiful lady. What else could a guy ask for?
I love this place, I've been going there for a year. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, cool space, convenient location. Ask for Tyler, he's the best fo sho!
Great haircut from Concetta - love my new cut!
This place is busy, so call ahead to schedule an appointment. Haircuts for men and women, and beard/ mustache service. No A/C. Staff does a good thorough job. Takes their time with the costumers.
Great haircuts great barbers. Also sometimes people bring in dogs.
I went in for a simple haircut, all over leave about 1 inch. I asked how much that would cost and they said a $32. I'm normally happy with 5.99 GreatCuts, so I'm about to walk out when she said, an all over same length cut is only $15. I say I'm ok with all over same length and get seated. 4 mintues later I have a great haircut, and I go to pay. It's $32 dollars, I say just a minute ago they told me it would be $15. I'm talking to the same lady that quoted me that. She talks to the hair designer and he says only buzzcuts are $15 and that because it was longer then 1/2 inch its a $32 haircut. Great haircut, but literally lied about the price. I will never go back and I hope anybody else that doesn't like getting lied to about price stay away as well.
This is a little tough, both the stylists I liked left without warning and the one filler stylist didn't connect with me on what I was looking for.
First haircut in five years here, they took care of the donation and everything. Excellent barbers.
Other than the price being a tad high (maybe it's normal for NYC, but not Phoenix) this place was a very cool experience. Great ambience, good music, easy-going help. The barbers/stylists were very helpful/interesting and did a great job. Will definitely return when I am in town.
Get yer hair did!
Awesome people, professional and clean
Friendly staff. Great vibe. Heather gave me a great cut, andalso went the extra mile to ask if I wanted my eyebrows trimed!
Updating my review since my favorite stylist I've ever had left with zero warning or recommendation on a replacement. :(
