We recently moved to the city and was looking for a good barbershop for my son. The first place I tried left my child with a crooked hairline and lopsided taper. I then went online and found Levels. After reading through the reviews we decided to try Ryan. I am glad we did. Ryan was very professional and gave my son a great cut. We will definitely be back!

After visiting a barber school for cheap cuts, I can assure you, I'm never going back. Before I went to the 125th location, I read up on reviews and was pleased that they were as amazing as most people said they were. I got my hair cut by Akeem, and he was thorough and detailed. He was sure to ask me about what I wanted before getting started, and answered all my questions. We had a really great convo, AND he offered me some ORS oil sheen, which was a nice touch. The cut was definitely worth the price - I walked out feeling myself.

Called on Friday to make an appointment for Sunday morning. Whomever answered the phone passed it around to a few people, until finally someone gave me an 11:00 appointment. He said I should call that morning to make sure they'd be in at 11, which wasn't so nice to hear after getting an 11:00 appointment, but I let it slide. Of course, come Sunday morning, nobody answered the phone at 11, nor was the shop open. I got my haircut elsewhere, and called again at 12 to see what had happened. They asked whom my appointment was with, but I didn't have a name because I didn't think it was going to be necessary to tell them their own schedule. Obviously they had made no record of my (or anyone's) appointment. Maybe they give great haircuts, but don't count on actually getting one here.

I usually make appointments with Mike Kasiem and he's fantastic! He listens to what you're saying and will give you one of the best haircuts of your life. I'm not just saying that either, my brother has a barbershop and whenever I go, they do an alright job, but it's nothing spectacular. Mike Kasiem knows how to make you look fresh every time, without a doubt. My only warning is that he is always late, between 20-40 minutes late every time we make an appointment. If you need to be somewhere quickly, I'd advise you to either go to him extremely early, or wait for a day that you can spare a few hours. Other than that, I promise you won't be disappointed. Promise.

Extremely Professional Experience. This was my first time visiting after walking by the shop dozens of times. As I walked in I saw that they had the combs in that blue sterilization stuff you see in the movies and they had the red, medical disposal box’s nurses use to put used needles in to dispose of old razor blades. If your from Brooklyn or lived here a while you would know how uncommon these two things are in black owned barber shops. Savag3 th3 Barber is the person I had cut my hair. He told me I had two people in front of me, and two people later I was able to get me haircut. I like that he gave recommendations when I ask “what style of beard trim do you feel would go good with my face.” Instead of saying “it’s up to you bruuuuuuh.” I also like that when I told him my scalp feels dry sometimes he said “I could do some research and get back to you.” Instead of just saying some random answer to sound professional. Pound of pound it was a good experience and I would recommend this barber and barber show.

I didn’t want to write a review cause I didn’t want to bash the barbershop. Eventually I felt like I needed to. I got a haircut a couple weeks ago from Kasiem because he was one of the highly recommended barbers in the reviews. I originally asked for Ryan but he wasn’t in. It started off good until I started feeling great pain while he was cutting me. I didn’t want to overreact but when the haircut was done I thought maybe the red marks on my face and hairline would fade away but stayed for a week. My beard wasn’t properly done or cut but he acted like he was finished. I was just disappointed sadly.

He said I said not today. He just went over the top telling me I should have called he looked at my hair and said YOU MADE AN APPT TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE . I expressed that I didnt make an appt for my hair and tomorrow is my birthday. He said you know it was your birthday you should of made an appointment. Than he said like I told him ( another customer) tomorrow. I was taken aback by his disposition , tone , and words as a professional barber. Let me say I travel from Brooklyn to come to this shop. I'm easy going and he is a creative barber yet he lost a customer and potential customers.

The haircut was horrible. Had to make a second trip for the barber to fix it. It's not the haircut that was the issue. The issue is, the other barbers seen that the haircut was horrible and said nothing to me or the barber who cut it and allowed me to walk out the door. So it's the quality of service I received that earned them the 1 star. BUT THE BARBER STILL CAN'T CUT. I would not recommend this place to no one .
